Don't blame me. The last time I was able to listen to Radiohead long enough to assess what genre they were, you could've called them pop ;) Hey, at least I'm trying to get to know their music. Slowly.
I am a huge Radiohead and Muse fan.. and I don't know why.. but for some reason I feel this song is the perfect mix of my two favourite bands! This melancholic sound is just amazing..
I love the way that in the end, the bobble head was the most important thing. In the beginning, it seemed so insignificant. The song is fantastic, a personal favorite of mine, and it now has a fantastic video to match. Thank you for creating the video, I watch it alot.
Tune. I still play the album over and over. Still amazes me how, although a mainly morose theme runs through ok computer, I always end up very happy after listening to it!
Great video, imo. I especially like the cinematography. I would say great song choice with Exit Music (for a film), but you guys obviously tailored the whole thing to the music, so really great job capturing the mood. Keep up the good work.
"Breathe. Breathe in the air. Keep breathing before all hell breaks loose. Don't lose.. your nerve" is a mixture of two songs (Pink Floyd and Radiohead) that runs through my head right on queue when things aren't going well for me.
It was actually made for Baz Luhrmanns 'Romeo & Juliet with Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. The crazy part is, that before I learned that, from just listening to the lyrics I had this whole vision of what the song meant from the lyrics about a couple and the mother escaping the abusive father with their child, being in the park (you hear the kids playing and yelling) and the whole part about "sing us a song to keep us warm" and the end that they hope the fathers "Rules and wisdom choke him" and "now we are one in everlasting peace" meaning that the mother commits suicide and takes the child with her. It's interesting how the same song can mean so many different things to the people who listen to it.
This song makes me really sad :( it gets to the deepest part of my heart... but at the same time I could be listening to it forever... I wanna be asleep for the rest of my life and never wake up... I want to be myself for once in my life...
While they were on tour, opening for Alanis Morissette, Baz Luhrmann sent Thom Yorke a tape of the final scene of Romeo and Juliet and asked him to write a song for the end credits. Exit Music (for a film) was born. Each line in this song gives me goosebumps in a different place, never the same place twice. Particularly in the final verse. To convey the range of emotions Romeo must have gone through in those few seconds before pulling the trigger with so few words, and do it so well that you still feel it after 10, 20, 50 plays. I can't think of anyone other than Thom who could write something as perfect as this. Luhrman must of been ecstatic when he heard it.
wow, the editing was awesome. Great song for this video, too. My friend showed this to me and then I had to watch it again, and I found it even better. 5 stars man! Cheers to film making
"Exit Music (For A Film)" Wake.. from your sleep The drying of your tears Today we escape, we escape Pack.. and get dressed Before your father hears us Before all hell breaks loose Breathe, keep breathing Don't lose your nerve Breathe, keep breathing I can't do this alone Sing.. us a song A song to keep us warm There's such a chill, such a chill You can laugh A spineless laugh We hope your rules and wisdom choke you Now we are one in everlasting peace We hope that you choke, that you choke We hope that you choke, that you choke We hope that you choke, that you choke
Easy-Allstars absolutely NAILS this song on their album "Radiodread". For anyone who doesn't know.. its the Ok Computer album, completely redone as reggae.. (with radioheads permission) and its pretty amazing in itself. Worth a listen for radiohead and reggae fans alike
excellent i love it man that would inspire me to ask all ppl to do their own and embrace Thom Yorke's vision as a open ended conversation on his bootifull piece of music nicely done man i love it1
"Now we are one in everlasting peace." What a euphemism. This song stood out to me even considering the very impressive rest of the album OK Computer. Nice video BTW but it seems only peripherally relevant. That said, the cinematogrophy is excellent, hope you post more vids of this quality but more explicitly linked to the songs. :)
great song, kind of eerie, but i love it. It's songs like this that make me love radiohead. it's not like anything else. Radiohead. One of the best bands, ever!!!
this song was actually written for the Romeo + Juliet movie from 1996, cuz the director sent the last 20 min. of the movie to radiohead and asked them to make a song for the end credits so yea i would've liked a clip from that movie to be put in here...
Breathe, keep breathing . .Don't lose your nerve.Breathe, keep breathing . I can't do this alone. .Sing.. us a song.A song to keep us warm . .There's such a chill, such a chill.
u have no idea what your talking about. radiodread is an unbelievable album, exit music for a film is probably one of the greatest dub tracks of all time
You got amazing camera shots, good compositions, and good intentions with them. The story is simple, but with interesting movements of situations. You should work more in the texture of the image... I really liked! Great Job!
anisalti- i have to correct you im afraid. im a big leo dicaprio fan & the 1st time i heard this song is on the END credits of 'romeo & juliet'. 'talk show host' is in the film but its on the 1st scene that leo dicaprio appears in.
Wake... from your sleep The drying of your tears Today.. we escape We escape. Pack and get dressed Before your father hears us Before.. all hell.. breaks loose. Breathe... keep breathing Don’t lose.. your nerve. Breathe... keep breathing I can’t do this.. alone.
I'm hoping that if The Dark Tower movie is a success, that there'll be sequels. And when Wizard & Glass is done, they use this for Roland & Susan. I've always pictured this as their song. Remember reading W&G when this album came out, and was awestruck at the movie in my imagination. Namely at the Charyou Tree. And Roland being brought back to Gilead by Cuthbert & Alain...
Ik wist dat jij een goede smaak had!! Maar kwa muziek heb jij een zeer goede smaak . en kwa levens stijl en keuze krijg jij van mij een 10. geniet van het leven zo als jij het wild . L.G.
The song isnt really about suicide. To me, the song is about a love, which could never be. A love so strong that no one could live without the other, and so they both lose them selves. (Romeo and juliet.)
Its a kind of life. Just dream it. Whatever u dream not important more. Listen, we escape. Hey guy, from the other side of world. U are alone, i am alone. Thats it.
17 years later still hits hard
My love for Radiohead brought me here many times. That other people find this song through series and/or movies, ENJOY this masterpiece!
I don't trust people who don't like radio head.
One of the strangest, densest, most idiosyncratic, most a-melodic (after The Bends) pop bands in history? Mr. High Standards over here.
Pop?
closer to art rock than pop.
Word.
Don't blame me. The last time I was able to listen to Radiohead long enough to assess what genre they were, you could've called them pop ;)

The outro to this wouldnt sound out of place as a whole song on Origin Of Symmetry I'm guessing Radiohead was a major influence on Matt Belamy.
Muse is good too

Great video, imo. I especially like the cinematography. I would say great song choice with Exit Music (for a film), but you guys obviously tailored the whole thing to the music, so really great job capturing the mood. Keep up the good work.

@@veeduboasis5642 that’s just completely wrong
This song is one of my favorite songs, primarily for the mood it establishes, and I'm sad that this video doesn't portray any of that mood... :(

great when the music and the shooting goes along together
any radiohead lover deserves five stars. Great film though!
very touching. i love it.
really cool video
3:27, one of the best bass line i've heard...
The song isn't really about this, it's more about the struggle with reality.

It just played on fallout 76 classical radio and I knew i had heard that melody before. Was hoping to find this in the comments. Thanks!

i like it as a short video kind of thing, the whole relating it to a radiohead song eh idk about that but still very cool
Lost my mind when I heard this at the end of Westworld. Perfect end to television
All the three of "Westworld", "Black Mirror" and "The Umbrella Academy" brought me here.

Wouldn't this be the best theme song for a film about Jonestown? I know that's weird but the last verse would work so well!

The song isnt really about suicide. To me, the song is about a love, which could never be. A love so strong that no one could live without the other, and so they both lose them selves. (Romeo and juliet.)
