Congratulations on getting your new microphone. I've been an audio engineer since 2000, and am rather familiar with the Blue Yeti and Yeti PRO models. guide-images.cdn.ifixit.com/igi/TptqRBhZ4FRtx4ie.huge As you can see here in this disassembled photo, the mics are not facing the top, but the front side, in a 90 degree pattern. there is a third mic facing away, if you choose the figure 8 or bidirectional pattern, but it doesn't record 2 channel stereo. Your mics are most sensitive on the side with the "Blue" logo, just where the mesh changes from a cylinder to a dome shape; not the top.

Sounds crisp! I have the same mic, and recommend getting a “pop filter” for it on Amazon that fits right over the top. Helps muffle any sound spikes future videos may have :)

Love the whole video, but at 1:00 into video my favorite was the tapping and brushing of the pad in one hand, and brush tapping and brushing on your new Yeti in the other hand, very hard to do. Oh btw, this was brought up on your last stream, holding a pen in your mouth which "makes you happy." I've heard of this from Vsause and can explain. It's a psychological trick. It's actually better with a flat ice lolly stick but you bite down on it, and it forces you to use the muscles for smiling and you subconsciously think more positively about whatever you're doing at the time.. but you can also do the opposite, if you hold the pen/stick with you lip, making you frown, it makes you subconsciously more negative about whatever you're doing.
Cait, you were talking about custom vids the other day. I have some experience in how they are setup/done. If you're interested, I'm happy to tell you what I know. :-)
