My Dear Akiane, it is with great pleasure that I watch your development into a master artist over the many years. You have blossomed not only as an artist but as beautiful person. As a child I used to watch my father paint in his studio he too was a master and regretfully I did not inherit some of his talent. Thankfully I was able to accumulate a collection of his works before his passing. Thank you for sharing your work with us.

Akiane, the music was initially loud for me, but I seemed to become better attuned to it as time went on. I wondered why one would paint over gold leaf, but I think the gold leaf forms an underpainting. Its effect turned out quite nice, leaving me with a sense of "once in the past" or "bygone era" feeling. The days of old shows in the Japanese parasol image. A calming street scene beautifully portrayed, the painting is appropriately titled. TY for posting.💖

Somehow, that picture actually evokes nostalgia for the years I lived in Singapore over 30 years ago, although I tend not to engage in that because there's no going back. But it does remind me there is a better "forward" that I'm going toward.
