Very cool and well thought out challenge ! I love that. This Rc fared really well! That deep sand is tough but you made it like a boss! Great work 💯💯💯👍🏻
This is awesome Dom! The trials really put the RCs to the test! The Monster Beetle did well considering it had steering issues. Looking forward to seeing how the Turbo Scorpion fares.👍😊
Thanks for watching mate . The MB despite being slow has always done well in thick sands. Even with just rwd. Which is fair play to tamiya considering how old it is . 😊👍
Hi there Dom, another great new series, the poor Monster Beetle was certainly put through its paces on what looks like a very gruelling circuit and test. Best wishes 😊😊
Hi Dom and I think you came up with a great concept here! Oh man, that sand really gives the RC's a work out, you can tell how much by the reduction in top speed! This test will sort out the weak from the strong (and the ones with better sand traction!). The MB did great even with the dodgy steering knuckle, I've had about 4 replacements on my MB!!! Top stuff, buddy! :O)
Thanks mate . Got some surprises coming up . Well I was surprised anyway 😂 the mb tires I think really help it in the deep stuff . Thanks for watching 👍
Oh, I completely missed this! I was not aware this was a whole new series, Dom! I'm looking forward to catching up on these, looks like a cool concept! Monster Beetle did quite well, I think... Let's see how the series progresses...
Thanks Mads, I hope you enjoy it . Quite a few surprises in the results . Yeah the MB did well . Especially considering it was basically falling apart 😂cheers my friend 😊👍
When I had a Subaru Brat to stop the ball joint come out on the steering I drilled a small hole got a ball joint with a long thread put it right the way through and threed locked a nut on the other side . I hope this tip helps . Your video was very entertaining
Man that was so enjoyable to watch Dom! 👌 You have come up with some excellent stages on a great bit of landscape mate, this is such fun! Bet that took some time to record and edit..... and a thorough clean/sand removal from the beetles nooks and crannies afterwards? Didn't that ORV do well, especially bearing in mind the age of the design? As you know, I LOVE my monster beetles..... my 'go to' runner. I so often hear people saying they are useless, this proves otherwise! With a few tweeks and mods this old girl can be a great all round versatile vintage machine. This series is going to be delightful to watch unfold.... Kinda reminded me a bit of junior kick start, except with rc cars of course! Good to see you well prepared with the tool kit on location.... box wrench saves the day. I beat the living daylights out of my monster beetle, and have at some stage broken pretty much every component, other than the steering knuckles!!! Wierd, because I know Mark has mentioned before the issues he also has had with this part. Awesome content matey, guna rewind and watch it again I think! 👍 👍 👍 👍 😊
Brilliant buddy so glad you enjoyed it. I’ve been thinking of doing something like this for nearly two years but only just figured out the scoring system . I tried to keep it as simple as possible. And having the dnf mean that if a car can’t do it I’m not stood there for hours trying 😂 Yeah the MB did really well . it’s always taken to these deep sands really well I’ve found . Possibly the tires ? Consider to its only rwd 👍 I think there will be a few surprises as the series continues . Much appreciated for the comment and watching buddy 😊👍
Loving the format Dom. If there is a situation that the Monster Beetle tyres ought to be good then it's here. It's a shame about the steering issue because other than that it did really well. I'm thinking that the Lunchbox ought to do well apart from the hill climb where it might topple over backwards. Great stuff mate 🙂
Thanks Mate. Yeah those MB tires are great . Keeps it afloat on the sands yet have grip . I’m curious to about the lunchbox. I know it does well in this deep sand but as for the hill climb I reckon you might be right . I’m also looking forward to trying wild Willy 😂👍
This is great! Looking forward to more of these videos. Cheers Dom!
Thanks mate , glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching 😊👍
Great idea Dom I like the climb and brawler challenges most. Curious about the cars to follow.
Thanks mate . It’s unlimited so it will be a right good mix . Thanks for watching mate 😊👍
Awesome Dom, what a great idea! The Beetle sure did give it it’s all and looked good out there!
Looking forward to the Kyosho!👍😊
Thanks buddy. Cheers for watching. Kyosho will be Friday 😊👍

Brilliant content Dom! I am surprised how well this did! I think there is room for improvement though! Bring on the Kyosho!!

@@rc-dom-uk Oh it will be difficult to keep your Willy in the right direction once it's in deep 😂
@@PeteWylieRC tell me about it . My Willy is always shooting off in random directions
