It asked me to open a folder ect and i put it on desktop now i have several bios files on my desktop is this fine was abit confused what i had to do lmao.
yep... i shohuld not have done the first one... it turned my ally up sidedown, and a lot things that was working before, didn't... :( tho i didn't install the rest, just the bios, but still! it was annoying
@@dakotadirden9834 yep... tho now that I updated everything, it's fine. I had to update the version of the my asus app as well. I installed 2tb ssd after doing the bios updates first and going through all the pain XD but in the end, everything worked out
Can you please help me. The MyAsus app will not update my bios, ive tried every which way, and it keeps failing. I have the bios download and extracted on a SD card, but the EZ flash utility does not see my SD card. Windows recognizes my SD card, and it is formatted to FAT32.
Have you used a hub such as the one shown in the video? You'll need power in the hub in order to reach the bios, the Asus Rog Ally built-in SD Card reader doesn't really do a great job for flashing for this bios.
If you have MyAsus that boots up with your device you'll have it download the bios. It can be doublechecked by going on MyAsus and should also say what updates have been completed.

Does the first method turn the ally into a laptop and mess up the device? Ive heard that it does
Nah no worries.

@@netrodex makes sense, I am glad I didn't do that myself lol, I've seen so many issues arise from the first method.

Does the windows update or the initial boot up do this?
