In Ace's defense, psa bgs and cgc arent located in the UK. If someone wants to get their cards graded, the time and money to do so is greatly increased compared to if you live in the US. I know most of these companies are gonna die once the hype settles but companies like Ace have to start somewhere. It's better for everyone if there are more than just a few companies that can do the job.
*Looking back a year later* Every single prediction you made in this video was wrong lol That's pretty impressive my guy. Turns out "artificial" demand was not only "Natural" demand but PSA,BGS and CGC now have permanent new competition eating into their lunch. At the time of making this video you just didn't like any change.
PSA is the oldest company so of course, they have the most experience. However, if a grading company (old or new) can establish itself as one that grades as per the standards, then the experience will be gained as they grow. This is the process of any business no matter what service they offer. Do I believe everyone can open a grading company and be successful? No, because that isn't how it works. However, I do believe that discrediting smaller companies because they are not part of the "big three" is illogical, at best. Whether you want to add your card to your personal collection or sell it down the road... Grade where you want. As long as you trust them to grade by the standards then you have nothing to fear. If the company fails down the road, it is what it is. At least your card is protected better than a penny sleeve, top loader, or binder. You're not "throwing" your card away by grading it elsewhere. You are grading it elsewhere because you believe that 1) the grading company you sent it to grades by the standard, 2) the grading company you sent it to is trustworthy, 3) the grading company you sent it to will be fair in the process, 4) you can save money on grading services for your personal collection, and/or 5) your card is worth protecting. I understand what the creator is stating in the video, but nearly everything he says could be negated with logic and basic business practice. Look, what it boils down to is that it doesn't matter what anyone tells you. Send the card to whatever grading service you want. Just do some research first and ask them questions if they have a way for you to contact them. If you feel uneasy about the grading company, move along. It's that simple. Just because a company has been around longer than others, doesn't mean it is the only one you should use. Best of luck to everyone on your collections.
100% couldn't agree more. The psa fan boys need to understand that psa, etc are not the only ones on the block anymore, card grading is like buying a new mobile phone, standards the same, the only thing you got to go off is if you like the look or if the phone quality (case quality) is worth the price. Ace definitely had growing pains as is everyone when they start a new job, ontop of that they had a huge community from the get go for a new start up. Today they are much better, the slabs are better, overall better.
A year since this video was made and ACE grading is doing very well in the UK. I do think the other companies will maybe disappear. But I have a strong feeling that ACE is here to stay, at least here in the UK.
I've tried writing Yu-Gi-Oh to start their own grading company. It'd be a great business opportunity for them. They could have an exclusive Yu-Gi-Oh label and identify reverse foils, misprint and other identifications better than PSA. It would totally set them apart from the other card companies like Pokemon and Magic.
CGC is probably #2 for quality and grading stringency. BGS is #1 but CGC makes it pretty hard to get a 10 in anything, a 10 should truly be special. I think PSA took that away by being way too generous.
For some people PSA is not affordable so if you wanna make quick profit, sure why not. + you are very one sided. I'm not exactly saying that there should be grading companies popping every day. What I'm saying is that it's good to have UK based grading company as it saves a lot of money, shipping, custom and so on... PSA didn't become popular overnight. I see Get Graded, MGC to do well in the future. Ace grading, I don't know. They're not open for grading yet. Only time will tell. But I don't agree with you, they aren't all worthless
But what if PSA or BGS goes out of business do we go for a ace type company or are there already a back up plan for card grading companies? I also agree with statements made and are cards worth grading because if you're telling me that we should not invest/collect these cards does this mean that big grading companies like BGS and PSA are worthless because in 10 to 20 years these card grading companies may or may not run out of business?
At some point there has to be a reputable company emerge in the UK tho, and whilst my collection is all PSA, and currently have hundreds of cards at PSA, I will still throw some cards through ace, I don't sell much unless I genuinely don't want it anymore. PSA was designed around authenticating sports cards, years ago, something modern could be good. Also as you were calling them out for there mistake, you said charmander and it was a Charmelion, so you see how easy it is for mistakes to slip through lol
@@ryangTCG I guess it adds another layer of excitement to collecting, first obtaining the cards, then sending them off for encapsulation, I like to display them, I can handle them and not have to worry about damaging. And I guess on some level, we all like to own the expensive version (high grade) over the lesser valued versions (either low grade, or not graded). I certainly don't rush to grade things, whilst I currently have allot of cards being graded, I have far more in binders, or stored in top loaders.
I agree with you on some points like the colour match labels, but putting ace grading in the same as all the pop up grading companies is a bit harsh, arguments for that would be he is starting the company at the start of the decline, he's put alot of money and time into it, and saying stick to the big brands is just ridiculous, yes they have a established reputation but saying stick to them is just wrong, if that's the case then why should anyone start a new company? If a preexisting company is there. Could use your channel as a example, why watch your videos give you the views and traffic, when many other channels have been around alot longer and have a established reputation in the community. Not being disrespectful I enjoy your content.
fair enough i was definitely a bit harsh. But as for the arguments right : he didnt start the company at the start of the decline he wouldve had to start it a long time ago during the hype right! Its only bad luck that he opened it during the decline. Also i didnt say no one should start a new company, I think new companies are fantastic for many reasons. But im saying, if a company provides nothing new or different i dont really see the point thats all. Like some people buy samsungs over iphone cos they have more this or more that but with ACE i felt like nothing is proprietary. Yes they are cheaper ATM but when the big companies catch up on their backlog they will return to normal prices. Yes the special ace label is nice i said that in my video but its only for a very select few cards so i dont think that alone is enough. There are some new companies that use AI and tech to grade rather than subjective human grading, which is such a good idea that even psa is now working on it too! I really appreciate the discussion though :)
@@fahimsheikh8710 yeah I think I said it wrong I should of said launched the company at the start of the decline, I am definitely going to keep an eye on the company, and I will even send some cards in to get a first hand experience, but I am being a little optimistic. Like I said I enjoy your content and I appreciate it even more now that you had a civil discussion with someone who didn't agree with you 100%, keep up the good work
Great argument. I also think he’s comments on the “colour matching label” was harsh. Randolph stated that the label won’t replicate the colour & art of the card because he doesn’t want to take the hype away from the card itself. Additionally, I think that it’s common sense to start a company at the beginning of a decline. Additionally, Randolph and his company Ace Grading has started solely from his love of Pokémon, like most successful founders they start building from their passion. It’s easy to sit here and criticise “oh they should’ve done this or why did they do that” but the truth is there comes a point where business takes over passion. What I mean by that is just because Randolph LOVES POKÉMON and wants to start his own grading company; it would be extremely foolish of him to start it anyhow, at anytime without business evaluation. Through market research and their “business lens” they identified a decline in the industry which was the optimal time to strike/start the company. As much as we want to say it’s all out of love (which for the most part it is) but you’ve got to have part of a business identity to be able to sustain growth & keep the business afloat.
You forget that when a grading company goes out of business.. the graded cards that got graded over there are worth more. Because they don’t make it like that anymore 📈📈📈
I'm not super into graded cards, I prefer to have them laid out in a binder so I can casually look at them rather than having to pull a stack of bricks out and look at one by one.
Yer I think grading should be reserved for the absolute most precious and expensive cards. People are just pounding hundreds of cards through to make money from people off eBay. A rares binder or master set, or maybe a shinys folder seem much more appealing at the moment with all this negativity around grading …

Karl Jobst's video on the sealed video game grading scene scandal that's going on right now makes me think these new card grading services might be trying to pull a similar scheme.
I feel these new grading companies should be more transparent on their process of grading cards. They should have videos of cards actually being graded so that we see the process.
this video aged poorly LOL, wonder if he's seen the ace grading factory tour, pretty professional by any standard, also people have cracked psa slabs and sent them in too ace and they've come back lower if not the same grade...... there not just throwing out 10's I do like psa tho but the price... i don't like that.
I grade 100% of my cards for my personal collection and grading a card doesn’t solidify that card and grade in stone. It’s much easier to store my personal collection in a protective case that locks as opposed to an etb with a rubber band holding it together and an energy card that identifies it as a special box. I’ve graded with two third party grading companies now since it’s VERY affordable and super fast turn around times. I looked at PSA prices today, $100+ per card. PER CARD. I understand you’re paying 100% for brand name and credibility (for the most part nowadays) but for a personal collection, it’s not worth it unless you are simply that wealthy. I’m submitting 15+ cards to a new company located in Florida. They are $15 a card and 7 day turn around times. Yes. That sounds ridiculous and won’t add value to my cards but they are a rough estimate of what my cards COULD be graded and it also protects them. I don’t have to worry about my personal collection being in a binder forever and about 60% of my Charizard collection is graded now. There are huge benefits to using third party grading companies IF you are doing it for your personal collection. For reselling, absolutely no reason to use third party as you stated. Only people who are open minded and are willing to buy third party slabs will invest and the rest will constantly turn it down for the big three. I’ve been peaking some interest in SGC lately, I’m still not in love with their slab design or the label but I am starting to see some sort of aesthetic and wouldn’t be against buying a SGC slab if the price is right. I was against CGC a for along time and I recently have found a liking to their slabs. I’m almost considering submitting to them in the future. All my third party slabs will be cross graded to the big three in the near future but I’m completely happy having them protected over the brand name of the slabs holding them.
Check out MANA Grading. Their AI grading will blow your mind. It's about 5 day turnaround. Amazing labels. Not affiliated, just obsessed. Community can vote on the grading job. Mana will regrade for free any grade the community disagrees with. It measures using precision lasers, completely unbiased. Check it out. Thank me later.
Hmm yeah this aged well didn’t it…Ace expanding by the day and is modernising companies like PSA who give out inconsistent 10s, it costs a testicle for people in the UK and overseas to use and they give out cheap poorly welded cases. Disagree entirely with your take on it.
Relatively new to this sort of stuff having dipped my toes in with the "big 3" a while ago but agree entirely with your take upon doing research. I was mightily disappointed to see a video crapping on a company like this. Absolutely reeks.
BGS and their inner sleeve inside the slab will completely ruin the card inside with the passning years. The card will eventually get stuck into its innersleeve cause od physics. Like in the old family photos we kept in a binder/album that got stuck there. I feel no one talks about this and its extremely logical.
What's your opinion on SGC? They're one of the most reputable sports card grading companies and they've been tapping into pokemon cards now. Their tuxedo slabs look excellent imo. I'd like to know your thoughts
I think part of the problem with this whole thing is that people don't strictly want to grade cards for profit. Don't get me wrong- tons do. But some people just like that sort of quality assurance where the quality of a card is hard preserved essentially forever. So even though this massive "economic market" is going hog-wild, in reality a lot of regular collectors are now just not being given a chance to collect cards the way they were. So then they are just forced to rely on 3rd parties like ACE, TGA, GMA, and even SGC to a degree. It's honestly just really infuriating and I don't think you can blame people for going to companies that are making "junk-slabs." It's just a market demand thing. If PSA and CGC and so on didn't raise their prices so high and opened up additional buildings around the country and hired more people then I sincerely doubt we would have seen as many card grading companies all open at the same time.
I agree with some of what you said bro But I dont mind there being other companies out there that grade I will 100% agree that they will never be worth anywhere close to the big 3 but having companies in other countries isn't a bad thing Im an Aussie like you so having local companies is a good thing in my eyes If you are grading things you love then the monetary value means squat I grade cards I want to keep in my collection But if you are grading for profit then 100% grade with the big 3 Just my thoughts on it Peace out Poke Shed 🔥🤘🔥
Upstanding cga if you pay for sub grading option it goes into the 100 so you can get a 92 or 9.2 . Usually cga go normal route with 8, 9, 9.5, 10.. plus cga may be early but it's the only actual reputable grading company of Australia lol and because of our laws they have to follow strict guidelines. I Australia there's litrally no other places with reputation then CGA
I have come back after a few months and I could not agree more. Friends of mine have lost hundreds in 10’s getting 5 and 6 graded. What a waste of time this company is
how do you know that PSA doesn't just swap your card for a card that is slightly less value when you submit it? even if you take photos of it they could find one looks so similar
Me, an intellectual, who just wants to be able to slab his favourite non holo fucked up buizel card without having to wait 8 million years after paying insane amounts of money to have it shipped across the world twice only for it to come back in a frosted turd box.....there may not be a market for this company in the states, but I think there may be one here
Disagree psa is extremely inconsistent bgs, and cgc never gives out 10s I would say a lot of people are looking for the next big grading company and hga has really cool custom labels btw.
Card grading isn’t that hard. You take away the natural bias you have towards your own cards and pretty much anyone could grade a card so I’m not too behind the idea that the other companies are better. The labels for ace look cool and the people behind it are sound so I’m giving it a chance and hoping they grow
What are your opinions on cga grading? I understand that they’ve been around for a long time now and are the largest grading company with actual experience. Do you think they are a worth while company who can be invested in for the long run?
I typed like three different kinds of comments, but ultimately decided not to send them. Why, because they can be summed up very briefly. This video aged like milk : )
Since may 2021, I've been submitting to CGA mainly NRL, NBA, NFL, MLB cards. Several times I got my NRL cards back with incorrect labelling. It was happening so frequently, they gave me $100 gift card to use.
I wanted to start a grading company before all this crap became popular because there aren't any companies near me lol granted, I would use a different grading system and I had a few ideas for how to improve presentation on some cards. Who knows maybe I will someday...
PSA gives out 10's like a grandma giving out candy on halloween, CGC is good but they are still pretty new to Cards since they did Comics originally. Beckett seems to be the most strict with grading but they seem like sellouts when they graded a PSA 9 Charizard and gave it a 10 for Logan paul.
How are you going to put CGC in place where SGC should be being that they were the second grading company to open mainly for vintage and now modern and ultra modern are all going though just saying imo not to mention they have the only slab with black borders that make certain cards pop!!! 🤔
I think Becket and PSA purposefully undergrade cards to maintain existing 10 prices and pops along with higher grades being given to people who have long relationships with the company. Again just my opinion. And for this reason I'll try a smaller company rather.
csg been around since 1987 graded millions more items then psa, theres been lots of graders over the years that came n went you need to use your judgment on graders that you think will be around in 10-20 years, new graders are good they prevent a monopoly and keep pricing fair, we have already seen psa n bgs price gouge, grading simply grades the condition to value the card, buy for the card not the grader brand and your investment will be alright, alot of collectors grade just to get cards slabbed n protected not so much for resell value, some of the new graders will stick around just choose wisely
It’s normal bro it’s a new fucking company. You don’t expect it to reach these higher companies in few months time for fuck sake. A company like ace already introduced new futures we have never seen before like the custom label which is fun and nobody can’t deny that. As for the experience in grading he doesn’t even grade he has a team and people already calling Ace harsh and i don’t understand why. But i can see your point of view, saying it sucks is not correct at all. I am not defending them i just see the progression they’re doing and it’s going good so far. The prices yeah Ace or any other company other than Bgs or Psa will not get the same price because these small companies isn’t recognized yet. But i believe Ace will be there in the future. Honestly i never graded at Ace because at the moment they can’t accept anything outside the UK because of the overflow pf cards but in the future i will make sure to grade my cards.
If PSA opens a location near the UK then yeah ACE will be worthless. I dont have much faith in a good chunk of these companies surviving but who knows. I guess the competition is good for innovation.
Whilst i don't like ace as they don't do Dragon Ball super cards. I do think the U.K needs their top dog grading service as posting to America is kinda scary ngl. so I'm not against having them i do however feel it's so polluted atm with so many different companies trying to fill that void as you said. I guess they all realise they're competing to survive because realistically. Only 1 or 2 can. BUT i do want them to compete and survive. To gain credibility through both competition and experience and longevity. No better time to start than now, it's just picking the right one that's the issue.
In the US yeah, but in the UK no. We need a grading company in the country, in the USA that market space is gone finito but not here. If I had a very valuable card I’ll stick to the age old oligopoly bullies in the US but £200 or less and the best bet for me is Ace grading :)
when this bubble pops.....its all trash anyway. the hobby is eating itself alive. Who in their right mind is buying a 300k pokeman card? We need to address the underlying condition that causes that.
This guy needs to close the hole under his nose. CSG has become the preferred grading company for eBay, SSC, and Steiner Sports. TGA holds most preferred grading based on their stringent examination, slab encasement and coding standards.
You're correct in nearly all your points but even among themselves all these basement companies are not equal. It remains to be seen how Ace Grading will turn out but at least that youtuber seems to have put some serious money into this and has an established following that will generate starting sales and marketing for the company to gain some momentum. I wouldn't put him on the same boat as your average basement company trying to make a quick buck. I'm sure he realizes he can't compete with the reputation of the big companies overnight that's why he differentiated himself with practices the other big companies don't do. I also have to agree with another comment here, everybody has to start somewhere the important thing is to be long minded and passionate about the project not just in it for a quick buck.
I recently received an order back from a newer grading service on the East coast. What is frustrating is when you get cards back that were perfect and then come back with dings like the card was switched. Although, the cost is more with the top 3, it is worth the price as you will probably get your original cards back that you sent in.
Did you take hi-res scans before submitting ,video boxing & shipping. Control the experiment and account for all variables? If not, gonna have a hard time selling that story ..js
yes im with you this is just dumb. And here in Germany they have a grading company called ap grading, and people just assume that if they get a ap grading gem mint 10 they can price it the same as a psa 10
Meh. I wouldn't say worthless. You still have the card. Protected. Just take it out and send it to a more reputable company down the line if that's what you want.
Out of all the smaller companies, GMA is definitely the worst. One that was not in the video is Player One services (POS) (yes, a bad name), and I think it is one of the best of the smaller companies. I sent 16 cards and 2 came back as 10s, so they are harsh.
Reminds me of the classic "We are looking for a junior assistant fresh out of college, also you must have 5 years of experience". It is, indeed, a non-argument. Just like "Well I can start my business as well, it wouldn't mean anything" and "I do not like label >:["
Even psa makes huge mistakes. There is a video of someone who gets back a psa 5 munch pikachu's. They literally have no flaws and to prove it, he sent them back to get regraded. one was a 10 and the other a 9.
I don’t have opinion on any of them never graded a card. I think everyone have to start somewhere and UK collectioners are waiting up to 6 months for return from PSA …. Although value etc point made in this video are good.

@@patrickbateman69420 look at all those worthless PSA slabs flooding the market. Many having a hard time reaching raw values with zero value add or negative add if graded under a 9. Confidence in the PSA brand is dropping to many new to collecting, lots of big names looking at other options... 👀
PSA won't be king for Long... diluded market and lowing values for 10s, modern 10s dropping significantly after several weeks on the market...I'm picking up cheap PSAs to resubmit to other brands... when cheaper options prevail...
@@patrickbateman69420 Well, Ace is still here and doing well in 2024.
The ace labels are pretty dope not gunna lie.
This guy doesn’t know what he is talking about
*Looking back a year later* Every single prediction you made in this video was wrong lol That's pretty impressive my guy. Turns out "artificial" demand was not only "Natural" demand but PSA,BGS and CGC now have permanent new competition eating into their lunch. At the time of making this video you just didn't like any change.
This is why a free market is so important to humanity.
Ace doing good still
Ace has improved so much since this video. Right up there with popularity in the uk market now and holding good value
Best response. No one else could've said it better
Daaam! Well said! I feel the passion behind this, and I agree.
Ace Grading now outselling PSA for value in Europe already for 3 in 10 cards so this video aged well 😂
A year since this video was made and ACE grading is doing very well in the UK. I do think the other companies will maybe disappear. But I have a strong feeling that ACE is here to stay, at least here in the UK.
ACE IS AND WILL BE HERE TO STAY😊👍
It's still shite though 😂
Psa 5. Here have a 10 😂
@Lewis Mckenzie I find it the opposite tbh, PSA 10, here have an 8.
@@Mewtwosmrmimewrong
Still doing great
I've tried writing Yu-Gi-Oh to start their own grading company.
I prefer ACE, their slabs and labels are ace also it’s uk based, you sir seem salty for no reason other than you fear your slabs will lose value 😂
But what if PSA or BGS goes out of business do we go for a ace type company or are there already a back up plan for card grading companies? I also agree with statements made and are cards worth grading because if you're telling me that we should not invest/collect these cards does this mean that big grading companies like BGS and PSA are worthless because in 10 to 20 years these card grading companies may or may not run out of business?
they will never go out of business...
@@Jthur92 correct, too big to fail. Too much big money holding the bag currently...
@@ryangTCG yea sorry, the graded part of my collection lol

@@patrickbateman69420 whilst I completely agree, I just don't see it happening
I like the ace label and wouldnt mind using them to keep my personal cards that I would never sell
The label thing related to your comments about ACE is just your opinion. I actually like it!!
I agree I love having them in a binder!
Binder for graded cards lol
Yer I think grading should be reserved for the absolute most precious and expensive cards.
People are just pounding hundreds of cards through to make money from people off eBay.
A rares binder or master set, or maybe a shinys folder seem much more appealing at the moment with all this negativity around grading …
There are binders for slabs.

Karl Jobst's video on the sealed video game grading scene scandal that's going on right now makes me think these new card grading services might be trying to pull a similar scheme.
1:50 I can't wait to have my cards graded by the FBI
I feel these new grading companies should be more transparent on their process of grading cards. They should have videos of cards actually being graded so that we see the process.
This^^^^
Check out degree grading, I just got a card from them because I thought their grading scale is interesting
Same goes for managraded, they use a high tech ai machine called the dragons eye that grades, better than a human eye imo
So I am in New zealand what do you think for grading cards? Is CGA good or just pay the extra for psa
Pay extra
MANA Grading are the only cards I buy now. Only AI grading...no bias, full explanations and scans.
this video aged poorly LOL, wonder if he's seen the ace grading factory tour, pretty professional by any standard, also people have cracked psa slabs and sent them in too ace and they've come back lower if not the same grade...... there not just throwing out 10's I do like psa tho but the price... i don't like that.
People are literally paying for a slab when they send their cards to anywhere but the main 3.
Happy 10000!!! Congratulations :D
Lmao nice vid! Happy 100
Thanks fam!
I'd rather not wait 6 months for my cards if I'm looking 2 sell... a grade is a grade... there is a demand... but it's a grade nonetheless
@@SHOTxAFTERMATH it’s just bias turned up to a maximum. Clearly only has PSA cards and truly knows his slabs are ugly and flimsy. Just bitterness
BGS and their inner sleeve inside the slab will completely ruin the card inside with the passning years. The card will eventually get stuck into its innersleeve cause od physics. Like in the old family photos we kept in a binder/album that got stuck there. I feel no one talks about this and its extremely logical.
Interesting, are you completely aware of the technology that Ace & PG use?
I agree with some of what you said bro
But I dont mind there being other companies out there that grade
I will 100% agree that they will never be worth anywhere close to the big 3 but having companies in other countries isn't a bad thing
Im an Aussie like you so having local companies is a good thing in my eyes
If you are grading things you love then the monetary value means squat
I grade cards I want to keep in my collection
But if you are grading for profit then 100% grade with the big 3
Just my thoughts on it
Peace out

Upstanding cga if you pay for sub grading option it goes into the 100 so you can get a 92 or 9.2 . Usually cga go normal route with 8, 9, 9.5, 10.. plus cga may be early but it's the only actual reputable grading company of Australia lol and because of our laws they have to follow strict guidelines. I Australia there's litrally no other places with reputation then CGA

I have come back after a few months and I could not agree more. Friends of mine have lost hundreds in 10’s getting 5 and 6 graded. What a waste of time this company is
Reciepts?
Ace grading on top, awesome labels and only going to get better! PSA aint even that good.
Happy 100 😁
how do you know that PSA doesn't just swap your card for a card that is slightly less value when you submit it? even if you take photos of it they could find one looks so similar
Why would they so that, though? That would risk everything. They're already printing money. They don't need to cheat or steal

Since may 2021, I've been submitting to CGA mainly NRL, NBA, NFL, MLB cards. Several times I got my NRL cards back with incorrect labelling. It was happening so frequently, they gave me $100 gift card to use.

PSA labels looks shit ACE cases are the best out there
The only defense is for uk based collectors. Us American collectors have plenty to choose from quality wise and can be patient with psa, bgs, and cgc
What are your thoughts about the new AI grading company "AGS" ?
PSA gives out 10's like a grandma giving out candy on halloween, CGC is good but they are still pretty new to Cards since they did Comics originally. Beckett seems to be the most strict with grading but they seem like sellouts when they graded a PSA 9 Charizard and gave it a 10 for Logan paul.
Happy 100!!
Don't know about beckett.... but I have a playlist full of vids about psa pop control..
Keep to psa and bgs if there's a chance you want to sell later. Other companies are good if you want to slab your collection for protection.
csg been around since 1987 graded millions more items then psa, theres been lots of graders over the years that came n went you need to use your judgment on graders that you think will be around in 10-20 years, new graders are good they prevent a monopoly and keep pricing fair, we have already seen psa n bgs price gouge, grading simply grades the condition to value the card, buy for the card not the grader brand and your investment will be alright, alot of collectors grade just to get cards slabbed n protected not so much for resell value, some of the new graders will stick around just choose wisely
HGA are so overhyped
Funny you talk about them being inconsistent and labelling the umbreon wrong and you said charmander instead of charmeleon.
'Zero experience in grading cards'. Its not exactly complicated! Its a rectangular piece of card. Not a Boeing 747!
This didn’t age well
It’s normal bro it’s a new fucking company. Honestly i never graded at Ace because at the moment they can’t accept anything outside the UK because of the overflow pf cards but in the future i will make sure to grade my cards.
ur off the mark, people are fed up with psa and other companies with super high fees to grade as well as inconstant grading....
Check out “Mana” grading bro. Their gonna go up
If PSA opens a location near the UK then yeah ACE will be worthless.
CGC and HGA will both survive and not just survive but they will thrive.
Uk needs a good company and people buy other cards from company's like MGC and Ace to just cross grade cards.
when this bubble pops.....its all trash anyway. the hobby is eating itself alive.
I dont grade for value. I grade for memories and to keep my collection in good condition
In the video, he mentioned the label was incorrect and explained it was put together for promotion purposes only.
Seen a lot of tcg cards on eBay this week when checking how much celebration cards are selling for, never heard of it before
PSA and BGS will never come down to $10 a card again
I recently received an order back from a newer grading service on the East coast. What is frustrating is when you get cards back that were perfect and then come back with dings like the card was switched. Although, the cost is more with the top 3, it is worth the price as you will probably get your original cards back that you sent in.
Did you take hi-res scans before submitting ,video boxing & shipping. Control the experiment and account for all variables? If not, gonna have a hard time selling that story ..js
Very true. Great points made
Appreciate you!
yes im with you this is just dumb.
Yo, that charizard is 1 of 1!!! Where can I get it dude?!?
Criticising a business for not having a reputation is daft. How do you expect companies to build a reputation? Some will succeed, some will fail.
Reminds me of the classic "We are looking for a junior assistant fresh out of college, also you must have 5 years of experience". It is, indeed, a non-argument. Just like "Well I can start my business as well, it wouldn't mean anything" and "I do not like label >:["
Europe and the UK are crying out for a grading company. Sending to the US is just way to burdensome. There’s a need for it and a gap in the market
Even psa makes huge mistakes. There is a video of someone who gets back a psa 5 munch pikachu's. They literally have no flaws and to prove it, he sent them back to get regraded. one was a 10 and the other a 9.
I sent a lot of vintage cards to OG to grade and then sold on eBay and lost money wasn’t of time and money
I don’t have opinion on any of them never graded a card. I think everyone have to start somewhere and UK collectioners are waiting up to 6 months for return from PSA …. Although value etc point made in this video are good.
I think AGS does really well with their grades
