I bought 3 cablet ext hdd cases on Amazon. Not even 1 is working.
Bro in disk management page it says the external device is unallocated.
If you HDD is new then doesn’t have partitions yet, click on new partition allocate required GB’s and you should be fine
@@TechRacerrecently I have bought a 500 gb ssd from crucial , when I put it into cablet and allocated the disk in disk management it says error due to hard ware failure..is it due to enclosure or ssd? I have replaced my ssd once but same problem occurs
May be problem with the enclosure, try with some other system once if it works then get the enclosure replaced

I'm thinking of installing 500GB SSD and currently having 1TB HDD.
Caddy works fine as well, if you want a portable drive then this can be used, caddy is safer than this as it is inside the laptop

Make sure you connect to a usb 3 port on laptop and check your initial HDD speed, if it’s 5400rpm HDD then chances are less, well there are multiple factors to affect the speed.
@@TechRacer Thanks for the reply. Actually i installed the HDD of Mac bookpro 2012 mid which is almost a decade old HDD. I am using Dell G15 gaming laptop which has no usb 3.0 port i think.

It’s not for recovery purpose it just makes your HDD accessible via USB, if your HDD is okay then it will be visible

Indeed you can connect your hdd with this and check if accessible if not then you can certainly use some recovery software for data recovery.

Blue light is coming, and eject option also came but it is now showing in "This PC"
Check once in the disk management if you see a disk with unallocated space then format the drive and it should be visible in this pc

I have important data in that, so can't delete or format it
Okay then try once with other laptop/pc newer is preferable and still if it doesn’t work then you have to backup data and format the disk.
