*I'm amazed by how much these agriculture machines have advanced. Which one do you think would have the most significant impact on reducing manual labor?*

@@stirv6462 They have a wide row, which is why they have that Drago header. Claas doesn't make a header with the row spacing they use.. maybe 38" if I remember correctly but I could be wrong.
@@AerialAg Definitely 38" spacing. All the crops down my road are on 38" rows looks to be exactly the same spacing like the corn headers they use here and the 8r on duals.
Thank you for sharing this video. Really good view from inside the cabs. Just a quick question on the back of the combine there's a silver disc flashing in the sun. What's it purpose please.
Great job on the video my Friend, Thanks! I don’t think I have ever seen corn being combined that dry! Did they have to use a dryer to bring the moisture down or straight into a bin? Up here in central Canada 🇨🇦 we don’t get the heat units You do down there in Louisiana!
Yes, I've been wanting to film a Claas machine for a long time but there's none close to where I live. This is one of only two Claas combines in Louisiana I believe and I had to travel nearly four hours to get to it. Hopefully they'll be more in the future if we could get some dealer support in the area. They seem to be awesome combines, I know the farmer was surely pleased with it.
Plenty large fields in this area. In a few weeks this combine will be in a 2000 acre block of rice. I'll try and go see that if possible. Thanks for watching!
Hope you get some video of the Claas in rice, I would love to see that. I've really enjoyed the ones of the JD X9. Not a lot of great videos of rice harvest on here like you make. Oh and btw thank you for making videos without some country song blaring in the background.@@AerialAg
I just look at modern agriculture and all the acres it covers and see a giant sea of petroleum. How long is it sustainable? Still damn interesting though.

@@AerialAg Mine this year is way off to 170, instead of 225. Frost got it when it was young. Turned black, but came out. It looks good, but the yield is not there. 🙏🙏
Why is the combine taking in the entire stalk? Usually corn head rolls strip off just the cob and you deal with the residue in the field afterwards. I guess this is a great way to deal with the residue in one pass but not sure if its worth the efficiency loss?
The farmer told me that while this variety yields really good, the stalks are extremely brittle. So rather than being pulled down like usual, they were breaking and being pulled into the machine. Apparently this is not unusual for this type of corn.
Corn in the south will always break off like that if left out in the field a while. Fungicide helps a lot with that. Drought ravaged many parts of Louisiana. Usually you can tell by the residue in how well its yielding.
We run a 16 row on the 8600 you need a bigger head. We are thinking of making it into an 18 row 30in. Just traded for 18 row came back to edit.

I’ve known those guys a long time. That’s a first class crew right there. Great footage. Here’s to a safe and bountiful harvest for everyone!
Is it 30" row spacing or 40"? I can't tell if that's a 30' corn head or possibly a 40' on wide row corn?
@@stirv6462 I’m not sure. The majority of row crop farms in NELA are on 38 inch spacing.
Well I just met them but they really seem to be a great group of people. I plan on going see them again in some different crops.

Nice combine corn looks Farley dry
Yep, it's been super hot with drought like conditions here in Louisiana.

Thanks buddy.. they were hauling this corn straight to the elevator.
i dont think so
Great video of a great combine ,not for nothing are Claas the best seller in Europe. The US are now seeing what a good combine Claas are.

Omg how big is that field? Here in Belgium all our fields are much smaller. Have a safe harvest. Thx for the vid!!

Nice footage. 👍🏾😎 Thx. Greetings from 🇩🇪
Im here in Louisiana and just curious. One machine cut all that acreage? It sure looked like a lot.
Yes, this farm does have two other combines but they were not being used. This one machine was handling the corn crop
Thank you

What part of Louisiana your at.
This was near the city of Winnsborro .
These modern machines are amazing and are helping people save time and effort
In this moment there are corn harvest there ?
I ask because in Europę corn is so green ( in Poland)
@@mioszlosa3919 Yes I shot this footage last weekend. Our corn harvest in Louisiana is much earlier than most other places
How many bushels are you getter to the acre? Thanks nice machine.
If I remember correctly it was at a 170 average but I could be mistaken... Thanks for watching!

That’s about what I’ll get this year due to frost while it was small.
Usually make 235 bushels in Louisiana
Thanks

What is the yield per acre?

It's very interesting seeing a bit of european farm machinery in the united states since claas is european/German.
There's a lot of claas equipment in the states. We have dealers here just as they do in th uk.
Yep, Claas makes some really cool equipment. Wish I'd see more of it in Louisiana.
Claas have a worldwide footprint and class leading equipment to rival any other manufacturer.
That combine right there will out perform the John Deere X9
CLAAS is worldwide trade mark of AGCO. Previously CLAAS machines were sold by by trade mark of CATERPILLAR/CHALLENGER.
That class eats corn like no other combine on the market.
I agree, Claas may be my new favorite brand,,
Humanity ingenuity knows no limit.
