    I wanted to say this composition is fucking brilliant but. I’m not allowed to say that ..and actually I don’t care what. I am allowed to say so there it is… what I really think is this such a great piece,,if music was therapy ..if music could heal or just give a moment of respite in some position of total effect …. here it is ..fucking brilliant . This is wonderful.

    Il brano crea un'atmosfera gotica e avvolge la mente come uno spirito del sogno. L'esecuzione è mirabile, concentrata per ottenere quella sequenza magica, stupenda.

      @@trustno1339 Times are changing, and this piece can be done with free and open-source software/sample sets, using any MIDI keyboard, or with computer keyboards. (It takes two keyboards if you do it that way. I've got custom software I can share if you ever want to use two keyboards with one computer.)
      Even old computers that can't run Windows anymore can be used to make music if you work your way up the Linux learning curve. Live piano music is just the beginning.

    I love the Una Corda for this piece, and I do appreciate her performance style and musicality, but those right hand arpeggios are just unforgivably sloppy. Actually had to stop listening around 3 minutes because of it.

    • @jorgebarcelo7716
      @jorgebarcelo7716 3 года назад +5

      have you seen Glass perform this piece? the concept of these arpeggios are a sort of free form expressionism, which gives them character and dimension. I think Olivia performed beautifully.

      @@jorgebarcelo7716 I’ve seen Glass play it… but not when he was younger. Unfortunately, as he has advanced in age, his finger dexterity and flexibility have suffered a lot and I don’t think he’s a particularly competent performer of his own work any longer.

    • @marksasahara1115
      @marksasahara1115 2 года назад

      @@wearetemporary We all lament our fumbles. To fumble is human. Hopefully, over time, we end up with more completions than fumbles. My issue is with slagging the artist. Are you a musician, or artist, or just a critic? I am not a musician, but I do love music. Maybe I don't hear it, but I did not notice "sloppy" technique, but perhaps you hear something I don't. That said, I am old school. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Shitting on people is just shitty. As I grow older I encourage and "like" what I like. If I don't like something, I don't comment. I move on.
      Duke Ellington said: If it sounds good, it is good. I say: Art is mostly slop. If you are an artist, please gather your courage up and do your art. Go out and win/fail. Learn and grow from success and failure. Best of luck to you!
