Alright so what I guessed this was about before knowing the lyrics was them being like a karma butterfly as in you don't expect them to be vengeful because they look pretty and soft but like they'll get back at their cheating boyfriends or something. You were gifted with a voice that is individual to you and has the ability to enrich the songs that you sing in. The optimism in your voice irresistibly infectious, and the warmth in your voice has attracted many people to the lure of your music. You also sing with so much emotion and feeling. You really know how to make an impression and tell a story when you sing. On top of this, you are such a charming dancer in that you put so much effort in the appearance of your choreographies. You move so effortlessly across the stage and you look so natural when you dance. Your movements are perfect; as you do each subtle move fully and completely, but you don’t focus on each move too much. You know how to balance technique with personal expression, and has led to you becoming one of the greatest dancers of your time. In all, you are one of the most influential artists in the world. You simply let it come out naturally, and the thoughts you have in your head just flow out into your lyrics. You know how to tell a story with your voice, and it feels very authentic when you sing. You have such a sweet and delicate tone, and your voice just fades into the instruments that it is laid on top of. It’s as if you capture all of the ways a person can feel and express it using your voice. The beauty of your lyrics combined with the rawness of your voice creates a sound so wholesome and awe-inspiring. You really open up and you look so vulnerable when you are singing. You truly have a gift and have used it in the best way possible to mend hearts and bring people together. On top of this, I think you are a phenomenal dancer. What I love about you specifically, is that you are so focused when you dance, but so relaxed at the same time. Yuri. As one of the first K-pop idols I came to know and love, it’s my pleasure to gift you this letter in regard to your upcoming birthday. It’s hard for me to even begin this because of how many memories I have of you and how much time I’ve spent with you in my life. My journey with Girls Generation started about a decade ago. I got introduced to you by my sister and your presence in the group was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. What I first noticed about you was your energy and enthusiasm about each of your songs and concepts. No matter the video or type of song, you always look so happy to me and you stood out among the rest because of it. You had this way of embodying whatever concept or mood you wanted to represent flawless. I couldn’t stop watching you because of this. One video led to another, and now I am nearly a decade into loving and supporting you. In this time I’ve become so familiar and comfortable hearing your beautiful voice that I’ve listened to for years now. It’s always held so much emotion and sincerity to me. In every song that you’ve sung, you’re able to make your voice sound completely different from the one you’ve sung before. Your excitement about your music translates through your voice. There is always such cheer and sweetness with every note. It’s as smooth as honey and yet has always had so much complexity and depth to it. I’ve loved nothing more but the feeling of warmth and optimism for the last several years of my life. On top of your voice, I’ve loved watching the endless performances you’ve put on and the infusion of your own style in the choreography. Just your facial expressions and connections to the audience alone are strong enough for your viewers to share that mood with you. The way in which you move your body is so elegant and confident and I seen some of the greatest performances of my lifetime because of you. The time and effort that you’ve dedicated to practicing is so evident, but it becomes clear you were born to dance when you hit the stage and can completely be yourself.
