My husband back in the 80s started as a supervisor at a newspaper. He had to be at work at 4 am. His first day he comes home and says omg I was hallucinating this morning I think I saw a camel. He said we have to go check it out. We get the kids drive down the road and there was a Llama! We were in sunrise florida. A city! We pull in the driveway and a woman comes down to speak with us. Needless to say my husband was relieved! She said when they bought their large property for days they wpuld buy each other animals! So they had quite a few. He bought her the Llama for her bday and she said you win!! Enough. But very cool and they will spit if they don't like you. None of us got hit thank God! 😂 great memory! Ty Viva

You can have lots of fun kayaking and tubing down the rivers in northern Florida. Itchetucknee Springs and Rainbow River, for example. You can see wild monkeys at Silver Springs. Definitely avail yourself of the Florida State Park system, it's the best in the country. Welcome to paradise! 😄
