Honestly I wasn't planning on watching the show, but my friend told me it was really funny so I watched it and now I literally can't wait for season 2...
@@hondolane7929 I never really interpretated it like that. I actually think it was pretty cool for the creators to have eaglys' tongue hang out as he breaths and take that little step in that pose. But maybe that's because my dad is a pigeon racer and he plays a rooster singing game in his free time. We also had a canaries and finches during my youth. So I've been around a lot of birds, because it was my dads' thing. And when a bird stands like that, mostly to make themselves bigger to fear off opponents, they can't hold their balance. And thus they wiggle a bit and take a step from time to time. So I thought it was a way to make the CGI feel more real to the vieuwers. But a lot of people think that eagly overstepped. So yeah... I don't know who is right. But in that episode that Eagly goes Berserk... I loved the Vigilate comment. Eagly is a hardcore man!
I didn't really care to watch, as I was in the "he's a boring character" camp, but eventually checked it out with my wife, and we can't believe how good it is. The opening credits alone are worth watching, and the show itself is one of the best I've seen in a long time. Even the supporting cast is golden. Easily my new favorite super hero show.

I love this show. It is campy without going overboard, the dialog is hilarious, there’s enough action to keep your attention without going overboard, and the storyline gets more interesting and complex with each episode. John Cena’s performance is a great combination of goofiness, tough guy tropes, and general silliness to make the character flawed but likable.
And, AND, not much BLM or SJW happening, just random people being assholes to each other as the world should be. You know, real people instead of snowflakes.
That isn't exactly a high bar considering most are CW garbage. But I think Doom Patrol and Swamp Thing are also great. Also DC has a shit ton of amazing animated shows.

From the first promo I saw, to the opening scene with the weird dancing, I knew this show would suck. I think that crazy helmet had something to do with it. It turns out I was wrong! I was pleasantly surprised to find out just how fun this was to watch. I'm glad I gave it a chance, and think people would do well to lighten up on their critiques and just try to enjoy it for what it is. Funny, fun, and a little crazy.

He was underrated in "Trainwreck". Thats when I started respecting him as an comedic actor. WWasnt a fan of any of his non comedic roles, never ever once. Now when he hits the screen im like "oh, cena about to kill this scene!" "Yeah! you can find me on Grinder!"
Peacemaker deserved a show the most tbh. Bloodsport and King Shark and had thier arcs RatCatcher II was a support character Peacemaker could have just died and it'd work but keeping him alive and Waller safe until Peacemaker S1's ending was definable the right choice.

I originally had zero interest in this show and after only one episode I was hooked! Loving it so far and maybe the best thing DC has made in a long while. I have been converted!
That's similar to me. I had no interest in Cena/Peacemaker, I thought his character was very one note in The Suicide Squad, so had no interest in a show with him as lead. Then I heard good word of mouth and figured I might give it a go when it was all available but I saw the credits dance and was intrigued. After that first episode I was hooked. Gotta give him credit, he really nails the delivery on the humour and the whole show is a blast.
Not gonna lie, I was also asking the question on why out of all characters from The Suicide Squad, they'd decided to give Peacemaker a show. I actually watched this with little expectation as i've heard it was written in like 2weeks during his covid lockdown. And i had nothing to watch during my covid lockdown. was really expecting some stupid comedy spin off. but it was soooooo freakin great i binged it all in 1 day. now i am dying for season 2. Peacemaker is actually a likable person on this show.

I originally had zero interest in this show and after only one episode I was hooked! Loving it so far and maybe the best thing DC has made in a long while. I have been converted!
That's similar to me. I had no interest in Cena/Peacemaker, I thought his character was very one note in The Suicide Squad, so had no interest in a show with him as lead. Then I heard good word of mouth and figured I might give it a go when it was all available but I saw the credits dance and was intrigued. After that first episode I was hooked. Gotta give him credit, he really nails the delivery on the humour and the whole show is a blast.
Not gonna lie, I was also asking the question on why out of all characters from The Suicide Squad, they'd decided to give Peacemaker a show. I am SUPER glad the show proved me wrong, it's literally my favorite show. Heard that James Gunn is developing another spin-off show for one of the TSS members, which I know it'll be great.

I had serious doubts about this show, starring a douchey superhero...I was so wrong! James Gunn and John Cena have created a hilarious masterpiece, with a strong ensemble cast, and a brilliant story!
He's not a hero. He's at best an antihero.
Peacemaker is one of the best superhero shows out there, I think only daredevil might top it. Really hope enough people will watch it so we can get a second season.

I love peacemaker. The opening credits are a work of comedy art and you can just tell they’re all having a good time making it. I wasn’t a massive fan of Cena until this, but if it can change my mind…🙂👍

I actually watched this with little expectation as i've heard it was written in like 2weeks during his covid lockdown. And i had nothing to watch during my covid lockdown. was really expecting some stupid comedy spin off. but it was soooooo freakin great i binged it all in 1 day. now i am dying for season 2. Peacemaker is actually a likable person on this show.
I honestly didnt expect the series to be this great, I love it and hope they dont end it with one season
