Hello Mr. Tann, this is a wonderful video! May I point out that you mentioned that the common kingfisher was a resident, and that you also mentioned that the blue eared kingfisher is migratory? The common kingfisher is actually the migratory one with the blue eared being an uncommon resident.
A wonderful video yet I am very saddened for I will never again visit your beautiful island and will never again climb Bukit Timah Hill as I did more than 50 years ago. All best wishes to you.
Another great video, James. Thank you so much. I spotted the oriental darter yesterday, really looks like a snake with a FIM. I have been pronouncing Hindhede as 'hin hair-de'! LOL
Thanks very much for the video! Managed to spot the Blue-winged Pitta as I consciously searched the grounds (while walking REALLY slowly around the park) instead of just looking up into the trees =D
Another lovely video, thanks James. Today I should have been leaving Wales and heading to Australia & New Zealand, with a 2 night stopover in Singapore, but due to the current circumstances the trip has been re-arranged for next February. So watching your videos has given me a taste of what might have been.
Yes, the Malayan Colugo has been seen in the general area on the lower slopes of Bukit Timah hill where Hindhede park is a part of. Personally, a better place to spot them easily is at the Bukit Batok Nature Park where the forest is not as dense.

Awesome Sir.. please continue your great work

A lot of work put into this video. I like the calls which accompanied each bird photo near the end.
Hi, James. Saw the white throated kingfisher in Vietnam, can wait to visit Singapore and visit this park.
hin-day-day for me...
Looks like a nice place, very tropical and hosting some really cool birds. 😎

I'm very happy to hear that. Yes, the birds are definitely there. It just takes a bit of patience and a keen eye.

Thank You James. It would be good to include the camera setting on the Birds Photos so that many like me can learn to take Birds photos.
Hello Mr James, is Hinhede also a good area to find Malayan Colugo as well.

@@JamesTann Super, thankyou, I’ll try!
Why you call the blue-back as black-back?
I pronounce it as Hindhede, lol.
There is NO SIGNAGE to show you the start to the trail to the lake. Absolutely stupid signage.
