  • The National Association of Music Educators (NAfME) asked the Barbershop Harmony Society to choose the artists for the final show of the 2016 National In-Service Conference held in Grapevine TX. We thought that the Vocal Majority would be an ideal choice! Here, they are joined by Main Street and Vibe for the grand finale, Tribute to World Peace.

My favorite part was watching the guy in the front desperately trying to shut off the ringer on his cell phone. Seriously beautiful song though, these guys definitely know how to perform.

Listening to this performance is so appropriate for this day...9/11/2010...remembering all those who perished on this historic day.

With a surprise Jim Henry! This was a great treat to listen to and watch. Main Street is so incredibly unified in their vowels and timing.

I don't understand why you're so obsessed with Barbershop?

Of the several versions of the World peace number, this was the head and shoulders best "one voice" solo. And the lighting proves they knew it was going to be. The staging did not favor the "one song" section the same way.

Is this a different arrangement? The quartets didn't sound quite blended as well. Blend is a major piece to quartets.
