I remember you said that you (Tyler) said that you and Britney have been best friends since you were 15 years old. We love watching you both work so efficiently each video. We’re anxious to see you get that Frick Mill working as well.
Thanks for watching! We appreciate it!
Some of these people with sawmill vlogs play around too much ,,you n Britney get down with hard work ethics and get the job done. Great show thanks for sharing
It seems like it would be easier to throw the edges on dunnage and load the 2x4 on the forks and take them to the cutting table. Don't put any more stess on your back then necessary. Seventy five years gets here faster then you think. Have fun and stay safe!
My local sawmill had a belt drive off of a MInneapolis Moline tractor both were antique's! But a sound when that saw started through the white oak and the old tractor would grunt. Great memories! Sawmill owner was "Buster Sweat"
Gloves tickle my hands and get to laughing so hard I can't get anything done,
Love your work you two, but i sure wish you would stop pointing at us 🙂
Do you know what you're going to power your Frick with?
Not 100% yet. Possibly a shaft underneath and line up a tractor from carriage side.
I'm not a fan of the time change myself.
Your lucky you have Brittany helping you. I have nobody to help me so it takes me twice as long to get things done and have to work twice as hard
It's the same way at my sawmill and mine is homemade but it gets it done.
Great job! Those that work together. Stay together: Hopefully! I am an old Viet Nam Infantry man My wife and I have been together for 50 years!
The knots on the first log looked like the lug bolt pattern on an old Ford truck! COOL
Gloves give you a sense of protection when using power tools. This make you sloppy with your hand positioning and distance from the blade, you do not get a second chance with fingers against blades. Gloves also can snag and pull you into spinning blades or chippers as Can loose clothing. So think what’s best for you, pulling an odd splinter or having an arm chopped through, you choose.
Proper fittings gloves!!
I myself like this of the year. And you and her are some hard working people. But good people salt of the earth. God bless
You would think Woodmizer wouldn’t have a problem moving a RUclips influencer to the top of the list 😎 hate winter attire 😞😂😎
Do y’all cut the flat boards for the pallets or just the 2x4s ?
😮7:42PM 4/20 I love your videos. I am not a lumberman but I am a woodturner. Love it when you show the grain. Some is just gorgeous. One video I would like, probably wouldn’t interest others, would like to see you c hanging the blade of the LT40. That’s one fantastic machine. Keep up the good work and videos coming.
You're gonna groan when you read this because it's something you already know: "regular" time is *standard time* (as opposed to daylight saving).
From Australia. Daylight Saving Time sucks down here, or Summer Time as they like to call it.
Mesin kerja yang luar biasa baguss, meringankan suatu pekerjaan
That was so cool, I am a multi rip saw machine manufacturer in China, I don't know if there is any opportunity to cooperate.
DO YOU CUT THE SLATES FOR THE PALLETS ??????????????????????????????????????
Leave the clocks alone...DST, or ST...I don't care. Just leave it alone.
Why throw timber on the ground only to have to bend down and pick it up again use a table or trestles
Stop messing with time that's my opinion... like the way that circle mill is taking shape guess you could paint it Miss State colors ...🤔
With working alone i have lights set up to work day and night
Original GoJo will take that sap right off but it has to be original
Leave it on daylight savings, use gloves when you need them
That's why we don't and won't! 😂🤣😂🤣 A+ guys!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻😎😎😎
Britt going to send you guys a Big Orange TN Vols shirts. Would you wear it?:
should be set on a cement floor !!!!!!!!!!!!!
You need to treat that woman right. You got a keeper there.
Y’all s videos are so good. Earning your living together. These videos are clean, anyone can watch them. You represent some of the best lifestyles here in Mississippi. Blessings and best wishes to you and your family.
Thanks so much for the kind words!
How do you keep the pine sap off the band?
If you make a 40" x 40" by 4' high 90 degree box out of reinforced plywood then Brittany could square up your pieces easier. Have fun and stay safe!
I have often thought about trying to make a jig like that. Good idea!
What's an edger like that worth
Just use wd40 to remove the sap
thin cotton gloves?
I don’t like the time in the fall
Smooth operation. Be safe👍
I could watch you guys all day. What a team.
Would it be worth it to run the offcuts through a chipper and sell that material ??
Sort of. But with that comes a lot of infrastructure and equipment. To which the eventual profit is far away.
sap on hands=fat wallet
Where are you located
Where are you from?
Great job Brittany and Tyler love you’re working partnership guys, cheers folks xxxxx
Thanks for watching along!
Radial arm
you do that pile every day? must get boring after a few dayd how about rain days what then
Still have to move in rain.
I really like this video. I used it in class today to teach a bunch of production tech students about key performance indicators. We talked about efficiency and ways to improve performance and ways to reduce cycle time. The students caught your discussion about buying an lt 70 mill. Once I explained to them what that was, they really started to get into the topic. Thanks for a great video. My students learned a lot from watching it.
That is awesome! Thanks for sharing!
You two are not afraid to work! Nice!
Someone’s got to do it!
I'm lazy I'd line up a bunch of buckets and call it good
Lol! I’m thinking a barn sweep or conveyor one day!
How long does it take to saw a pallet of pallet wood?
For me about 2-3 hours depending on log size.
THANKS!
That was really cool, I am a sawmill manufacturer in China, I don't know if there is any opportunity to cooperate
Please find and use some hearing protection for you both! If I've missed your use of ear plugs I stand corrected; if not, well you need to get with the program. Great content on your work routine and I look forward to seeing that old mill up and running.
I'll admit when I came across one of your videos a couple weeks ago I immediately thought "just another channel where the dude is pimping out his hot gf/wife" and even left a cheeky comment on one of them. Since then I've watched a couple more and realize you guys are simply a hard-working couple trying to make a decent living and showing us how. I would like to apologize for my initial (and incorrect) assumption of this channel and wish the both of you the best of luck and hope your business is able to afford the life you guys want. Don't know where in MS you are located (I'm in NC), but if I ever travel to that area I will try to get in touch so I can buy you guys dinner...it probably won't be during the summer because it's too dang hot and humid...lol. Take care and be safe.
In regards to gloves, wearing them probably saved me from a major injury to my hand...kept a rod of rebar from impaling the palm of my left hand and instead tore a quarter-sized flap of skin open (I could see my tendons and bones)...27 stitches and 3 weeks in a cast and it was as good as new. So I would say, yeah, gloves are important.
I’m old enough to remember when there was no daylight saving time so it doesn’t matter to me I get us to it in a few weeks, I believe it’s called standard time, some states don’t do daylight savings time still if I’m correct the politics started it because they got more daylight after work 🤷🏼♂️
I don't care if it is EDT or if it is EST; pick one and stay with it! This changing the clock every 6 months is ridiculous.
I know that if I would wear gloves I might not have as many cuts or scrapes but I just cannot make myself do it.
One question Tyler; does the radiator screen get stopped up when you are dumping all of that sawdust? It looks like it was sucking it right in.
I would have made cookies out of the first log you cut . Lol just sayin Very entertaining. Thanks.
Banyak sekali stok pallet
Thank you for the explanations.
48” runners. Looks util and btr. Very nice stock. 😊
Tyler, You and Britney do a heck of a job. I am wondering do you have ways to sell your by products of saw dust, scrap slabs, scrap 2xd4's or 2x6's. Maybe you could answer these questions for me since I am new to your channel.
We compost sawdust. Our slabs are currently not sold, just waste. We move retail 2x4-2x6 and so on fairly often!
Very small saw log.
I'm sure you've already thought of this but is there not some way of connecting a dust vac to your Mill?
Yes! I had one in the past. Will go back that way in the future.
What do you do with your sawdust? I have watched 6 or so vids on RUclips on how to make compressed sawdust bricks for a fireplace or stove waste, not want not. You're a smart guy I think you could make a system to make them in bulk.
Farms usually like to use sawdust for animal bedding.
how about a cook mill?
Do you assemble the pallets? Or do you sell to a pallet manufacturer?
I agree with Brittney about daylight saving time 👎👎
I got the lt40 you was talking about it’s a pretty good machine.
Let me hold it a while lol
Haha shoot got to run it about every day. After we get done processing deer I can bring it and you do a video on it if you want. I’m down in Philadelphia
Great video and good job
Thanks!
