I totally agree, this is guy that I want to hear give his opinions on mma, and he’s your favorite fighters favorite fighter, so you can have any fighter on that show and they’ll be more likely to open up to him out of respect and because he’s not a suit he’s a fighter.

This is a great format. I was at this fight and the atmosphere was absolute electric. Especially coming off the Adesanya/Gastelum match. The crowd alternated from chanting Holloway to Poirier back and forth throughout the entire fight.
I’m from Louisiana and watched it at a bar. lol Obviously the entire place was going crazy. I was happy for DP but kinda felt bad for Max. Imo Max F’d up by taking the short notice fight. You can tell by his stomach that Max didn’t properly move up in weight. lol He was basically a 145’er here fighting an extra motivated 155’er DP.

This was such a fun and epic fight. Dustin should be called chanpion worthy for ending Max' 13 fight winning streak by becoming the interim champ, which could easily have been worthy for the main belt. Always wanted two champions in all divisions for some reason because of injuries and inactivity.
It’s crazy that I can hear little Rush’s voice go “ LETS GO!” “GET HIM DAD!” “DAD COME ON!” “DAD NOO” and “HOLLOWAY!” This fight was wild, Poirier is absolute monster and Max is a Dawg. Because of Max’s resume and whose he’s fought it’s hard not to go for him. We’ve seen him take on the likes of Aldo, Poirier, McGregor, Gaethje, Stephen, Volkanovski, Swanson, Kattar, Allen, Yair, etc. all of which have given him looks from being pressure forward heavy handers, kickers, grapplers, boxers, etc. we’ve seen Max defend so many takedowns, eat the biggest of punches. It’s just difficult for me to say Ilia because Ilia’s only fought 7 times, and 4 of which he was tagged and even dropped in 1. The fact that he struggles on the back foot and let someone like Bryce Mitchell of all people lay hands on him let’s me believe that Max’s speed, lateral movement, and overall arsenal will give ilia a lot of trouble. Max all the way everyday!
great video but I do wish Din had watched the fight prior to filming and asked more questions specific to the fight. So many great moments and aspects of this fight to discuss with Dustin were left out

Max has a lot more snap behind his striking now. His power and speed has increased even at 145. I first noticed this during the calvin katter fight.
To be fair Max was a lot slower in this fight than his other ones
