  • If you're having problems with 2022 go back to 2021. I will follow back up here in a pinned comment when the problem has been resolved. Don't even try to troubleshoot it. I had already tried EVERYTHING. I lost over a week of work. Some days I spent at least a handful of hours with their tech support online, on my computer, one day it was 7 hours of hell. All the time I'm losing I'm paying them and destroying my health and not getting any work done meaning I'm losing earning potential on top of paying them. And this happens several times every year. I just want to be done paying and to use what already works moving forward. I was fine with the product being done in development years ago. But, they're forcing us to pay every month for an updated product that isn't tested properly so we the customers can pay the price of testing. I'm so deep into using this dreaded product that if I tried to switch to another product like Resolve, I would lose so much of what I've already edited that I have to go back to. I've tried migrating over and it was just more hell and the XML didn't import well at all. I'm trapped inside of Adobe hell. If I had a good lawyer I would find a way to sue them big time.

The 2022 Version of Premier Pro is a disaster. Serious playback issues as well as random other issues such as dropping or duplicating frames and export issues to name a few.

So many random issues with 2022 that I didn't experience in previous versions: random crashes, playback not even working in 1/8 quality, project files getting corrupted, ..

Actually, I thought about updating this. 2023 somehow magically appeared on my desktop. Well, I tried it a few weeks ago and just kept going with it. I didn't feel great. I literally found like 5 bugs and reported 4 of them. I kept muscling through because I already started editing a project on it and it's not easy going backward, you have to get support to help with that unless you remember how they did it last time lol. Anyway, then suddenly, like a week ago, despite my updating my video driver when I decided to try 2023 a couple weeks prior, there was a notification for a video driver update. So, I updated it and man, I'm telling you, it's working like better than ever. Literally. Finally the stars have aligned. Anywho, good luck. Hang in there I guess or maybe try DeVinci Resolve or Final Cut or Vegas or Windows whatever windows has. I'm stuck with Premiere for now... At least it really is working better than ever right now.

I will say it's better. And their support was better. But there's still some things annoying me at least with Adobe Media encoder showing a warning every time I go to render a video. But it's all working perfectly fine finally.

I'm not having any playback lagging issues anymore. I can scrub through content pretty fast these days
