Dragons in Japanese mythology are wingless serpent like beings and are spirits in a way that guard the ocean and other forms bodies of water in Japan. European dragons are the ones most people think of when said to describe or a sketch a dragon, a large red scarlet dinosaur like winged behemoth that breathes fire. I really find these ones disgraceful and really uncreative, since I grew up learning about Japanese mythology, i found them overrated as well.
Plus that scene is the second most fucking hilarious scene of all from mulan. The first being You missed? How can you miss? He was three feet in front of you!
