Thank you for your comment! Gardening is wonderful and I'm glad you enjoy it! I'm definitely Team "Make Life Easier" when it comes to the garden. 😊 Especially if it spares me from getting eaten up by mosquitoes while I'm out there lol.

Nice. I just bought one at a garage sale for $5 and wanted some info since I don't have instructions. Those mosquitoes! Hey, mix up some Thuricide ("BT" Bacillus thurengensis) from Home Depot and do the whole place. I mix 1 oz in 2 gallons with my backpack sprayer every week to 10 days and we have ZERO mosquitoes. I get 7 or 8 full yard and under deck treatments for $10 this way.
I'm going to load the Chapin thing up with a stinky thick liquid natural fertilizer product (Dr Earth liquid lawn food) made from liquefied food wastes.... a similar consistency to fish emulsion. (I may get some fish and add some seaweed concentrate too). I'll spray it into a leaf gathering area for preparing a massive compost pile. The leaves are spread out over a 10' x 50' rectangle, about 8 inches to a foot deep. I'm going to water and stir it in several times with the fertilizer stinky mix to get a nice thoroughly moist, but not soggy amazing pile made.
This will be interesting to see what the Chapin does.
    Thanx again.

Any tips for cleaning this injector? I have Algae build-up and dish soap doesn’t seem to be cutting it.

I have this same product but I think it’s the 32 oz. I use a product called Neptunes harvest and sometimes fish emulsion. Neptunes harvest calls for 1/8 of a cup per gallon. Am I supposed to mix it in a gallon first and then pour it in? That seems like it’ll dilute even more doing it that way. Do you just pour the fish emulsion or similar product straight into the cap and just let the water run it’s course?

It mixes with the waterwhen it's injected. Your not supposed to dilute it when used like this.

⚠⚠i likeED this product it worked perfect EXCEPT, after about 3 months the clear case cracked and i had to return it (2 times). this happened twice, i had to return both of them. the unit wasn't exposed to the sun it was in a shaded area. so now i will have to look for an alternative method to spray my lawn.

These products have a flaw, as it’s injecting fert it’s also diluting the fert. So if you start off at say 10-10-10 it gradually tapers it down to 9-9-9, 8-8-8 etc etc as it flows. So you never get a consistent amount of fert.
