I was getting shoes at my local mall in the 90's and we were talking with the woman helping us and somehow movies are brought up and she says to us that she was an extra in the movie Rudy. We ask her what part and she says right when the Rudy chant starts she is right behind the guy who starts it and even shows us the head motion she did in the film. So we go home and dig through our VHS tapes and watch it and sure enough she was in one of the most iconic parts of the movie. She is the long blonde hair girl in the brownish coat who starts looking around when he is chanting.

One of the most important and talented artists directors of our century- the inheritor of Capra and Ford. A great person and a great artist. I love you Mr. Anspaugh.

Terrific direction in both flawless sports films. He got perfection out of every actor.

I hate Notre Dame but I love the movie Rudy. I cry like a baby at the end. Every time.

I saw another interview where Angelo Pizzo, The writer, said that gene Hackman was so mean to David that he almost had a nervous breakdown. That's how mean and nasty gene Hackman was to the Director Every day of the whole shoot. I have been wondering if Hackman ever apologized for the misbehaving so badly on that set.

PST Rich... Most of Good Fellas had some dramatic license too. And Titanic was not a documentary

Thank God they had no money for CGI when they made these movies.

You are so right! CGI is way over used and is not any way as go as real!

Listening to the comments about Gene Hackman‘s view of the film reminds me of the time Richard Dreyfuss gave an interview right before the release of jaws, criticizing the movie and that his character had no development. I guess these are two actors that should stick to acting and not filmmaking
