This might be the best vid I’ve seen in terms of raw skill when it comes to mechanics, constantly used outmaneuvered your foes. Also last Rex pissed me off, and most of them do, they always try to land bites when someone’s on there ass where as If they just kept tell swinging and trying to avoid contact they’d actually do better
There is a way he could have tried to get me. And I do think he thought getting me in water would have slowed me down enough for him to land bites. That might have worked with a slower duck, but my duck is completely aquatic speed so had I ended up in water I would have been faster lol. The only way he could have landed a bite while I'm ass riding him is to x sideways turn ( not x turn) at a point where I do not expect it. As long he doesn't do that, his collision box will stop me from ending up on front of him too easily.
And yea rex tail does crazy dmg. Kinda like dasps. Just much much more dangerous.
Do remember that I do spend a long time making each video. I literally spend that whole time in one creature trying to learn the mechanics and how to use it. It's not like I start everything knowing how to use them lol.

Very fun to watch. Looked up a video of this goose after seeing one kill a Rex. Trying it out next. I know you are using the speed sub species, but would you mind commenting the rest of your build? Such as hide, abilities, and metabolism?
Ofc. Hide is stream lined, the abilities are the claw, bite and tail, and diet is fish.
I really liked playing as the rat tailed duck. It's surprisingly fast.
@@Narsku8833 I tried the speed sub and was having trouble killing anything. I'll try it again, hopefully I can get it to work because speed one seems more fun.

@@inorisora8057 Just play for your strengths not for the "meta". I'm at my strongest with speed and agility, some are better with tankier builds. It comes down to what you prefer.

If you keep getting eaten before you reach adulthood, try remaining in isolated spots of the map. If you spot something and theres even a sliver of a chance that they didn't spot you, do not move, do not sit down, do not lay down, do not get up...nothing, just absolutely stay still. Majority of the player base uses headphones, and majority of us who do are more likely to spot someone because they are making noise. Not because we saw them.

Oof hate it when you get trophy cool-down. I like to steal trophies as my struth but the cool-down gets in the way especially when you find a harder to come by trophy that you can’t see or pick up.
Yeah I hate it too. It used to be so much fun to just go to a death pit with something super speedy and steal all the trophies while the big guys were still fighting.

I do! I have some suggestions.
1, Listen carefully. You always must know who is making every single sound in the game. Your chances of spotting hostiles is higher if you are playing solo.
2, log out in a homecave. It gives a massive boost for growth the next time you play. ( it is time dependent, longer gone longer boost)
3, steal or kill for trophies. This is probably the main reason I'd recommend grouping. Delivering a trophy gives 3 minutes of growth.
4, read global chat. People will complain a lot about all kinds of things. Take note of local chat when it lights up.
Tbh I’m really glad the devs are Finnaly nerfing some of the apex herbivores like eotrik and duck back then they were way ! to overtuned like a eotrik or duck could kill a spino with ease it made now it’s a bit easie to hunt them
I definitely support eo nerfs. I'm not sure about the duck tho since the double speed variant can easily be hunted by midtiers. I feel like the whole variant thing is really complicating things and it's almost as if double speed and double defense creatures are completely different animals from one another.

What’s the best subspecies?
Subspecies wise I like speed. It is fast enough to run the hell away from most things and it turns crazy well in water.
However, it is not very tanky and can be killed quite easily. Depends what you like.

What build you think is the best for goose ? Speed to escape apex or defense to tank and bit too ?
I do feel like building any herbis defense now that isn't an eo trike might actually do more damage than good. As the rex bone break is still 30 seconds. Basic tail attacks aren't enough to stop them from getting behind you and only eo can actually turn around fast enough with bonebreak active to actually fend off a rex.
So being extra slow just leaves you unable to out trot the rexes. You cannot disengage. You aren't fast enough to avoid getting bone break on and you will have to face tank it. However here comes the main problem. Rex cooldown for bite, it's most damage causing attack is 1 second. Ducks cooldown for its claws is 2 seconds. If you aren't the one riding his ass he will be able to land way more hits on you. If he's landing a hit for every hit you land you are in dangerous waters. You must land 2 hits for every 1 hit he does. Face tanking isn't an option. If he breaks your leg immediately you are done. Might as well sit down and die.
The biggest weakness rex has is how slow it is and how slow its turn radius is. Speed duck has the stamina and speed to dance around the bonebreak and once the rex uses it's stamina ride it to death. But this is just my current feelings about the whole thing. I never build double defense because it's just too slow. I can't stand it.

I feel like duck is actually pretty ok balance wise. ( though I am using double speed duck). Double defense anything in this game tends to be op and I honestly don't understand why we need double defense as an option at all for apexes. Take those away and the game balance will be better. More so when double defense remains as an option for an allo etc.
@@Narsku8833 I see what you mean, but i tend to look more from a real perspective between fights from this animals. Yes is game but a rex should be feared more and i dont mind the double defence of trike or anks because this tanks would be really hard to take down from a carno. Just a matter of sizes and bite forces speed etc, i also would love more ambushes in the game like, its hard but its possible. Good fights and good video regardless.
@@john45hhh Yes I agree with ano but not with eo. Eos whole ass end is unprotected. Yes it should be scary damage if you hit its head but there needs to be a logical way to get behind it. Nothing big enough to kill it can get behind it because its x turn is way too good.
Ambushing is definitely more of a thing in the isle legacy. With the ambush speed etc.
@@john45hhh Even a normal Rex bite in my personal opinion should be much higher. And the Rex Bone Break... I think in my perspective for you guys it's iverpowered but Bone Break should knock something almost nearly dead, like 20-30% health, and bite 50% because, come on. T-Rex is supposed to be ultimate apex predator on land, with a biteforce of 12k psi. T-Rex is supposed to keep all the land dinosaurs in their place, keeping the ecosystems balanced, but there shouldn't be so many Rexes.

Definitely not. Only thing I think is possibly more powerful is rex and barsboldia.

Ducky can have herbivorous diets, but also can opt to be a fisher. It can eat fish but not meat.

Is balanced with defence hide good?
My duck is double speed. To me having balanced hide on my speed duck felt too slow lol.
But generally people play duck as double defense. I have a bit of a " lemme just torture the hell out of myself" mentality with some characters.
So the problem with the hide system is that usually if you have the defense hide it makes you slower than the subspecies below you. My speed duck was caught up by a balanced duck with a speed hide when my duck wasn't double speed. This is usually not a problem as if your kin catches you, you can kill it. However ducks speed hide makes you insanely good at turning in water. So that is a problem if you face a duck faster than you in water. It can tail ride the hell out of you.

No. Allo is at its strongest for its size group. You shouldn't try soloing rexes though, even sub adult rex is way too big to deal with. ( even though size wise it's the same as dasp.)

The full water speed duck can clap a sarco that isn't X turning under water. However it does not have that much health to take a sarco. Since the duck was nerfed I'd assume that a full water speed duck that takes a sarco now is just insanely good duck player.

Lol Rex tail attack still takes stam when this was recorded so it's actually possible they wasted all their stam then panicked.
