Dude I’m loving watching each video you release. I’m here for the start and for the rest !! :) Love your humor and the layout of the videos. Keep doing what you’re doing my friend. Love it :)
Vroom vroom. So inspiring to see your kitchen sink making practice. Makes me look at my box of unfinished amp projects with new purpose. Thank you for your videos!
For securing smaller ferrules in larger holes I usually use paper masking tape or if I'm feeling really special - teflon plumbers tape. Works like a charm and is easier to remove the ferrules if the need occurs. Highly reccomend.
VROOM VROOM love your videos man, I hope you make more of these guitar restoration videos The demo at the end was insane...I want a guitar like that..it is just way too cool
A hole hearted VROOOOOOM from my end, thats an awsome guitar. Love the perfect chaos and feedback from the instrument and the not a luthier. Props to Ted, he loves the channel cause he does not have to repair those guitars....not that they need any, its just a reassembly job no? Keep it going, much love and smiles!
I love your videos dude I hope you keep making them. I need you to keep cranking these out because every time I see one I'm more inspired to actually fix my ancient Lindell VN2
The fact that you show all the mistakes and how you're just going along with it and still get really cool results makes me feel like I could give this a shot as well. Very cool channel! Vroom!
Vroom (Ted sent me) the humor, honestly, and pacing of your content is amazing and has gotten me back into tinkering and fixing and making things again, I sincerely appreciate what you do - thanks!
Vroom!!! I love your videos man. I feel like 90% of what I know about electric guitars is from watching you. I feel like I learn more bc your videos aren't boring lol. Keep it up I'd love to see you hit 10k
VROOM! LMAO Laughed so hard a couple of times watching this vid! Thanks man! Just finished fixing (or should I say, deep cleaning) a bass that I bought from a warehouse where they buy japanese "garbage" guitars etc, and was lucky that it's just dirty and its electronics are still working, albeit its single knob isn't turning lol With my current knowledge on how to fix a guitar, I'd probably cry when faced with the same situation. Looking forward to your next upload!
VROOM! Just getting a tutorial on the boosters is win enough for me, but VROOM anyway :) Really really enjoy your work - greetings from Sunny Salt Lake City! Peace
I love the way you do things and the materials you use. I loathe the modern way of doing things and routinely make things work with what I have on Honda, this is the way. I do have lots of tools but you never have enough and you make do.
This is the Captain James Pike of guitars and the rebuilder is a bit like the telepathic aliens who reassembled spacecraft crash victims without having ever seen a complete undamaged human being. The guitar probably looks worse than this but images are being projected into our minds to make us think we are seeing a complete guitar. 😉 (And now you know that I'm old; old enough to remember original Star Trek episodes).
Good sh!t, my man. Subscribed. Looking forward to doing something very similar in a Jaguar build I'm doing. This might just get me off my arse and do it...eventually, someday. Also looking forward to more videos from you, maybe put some more effects in there? That would be cool. oh yeah, and VROOM f'n vroooom!!!
Outstanding salvage and video, hope you get more members to see it or release it to the normal channel eventually, the more people who see and appreciate this kind of content, the better. The intricate details are invaluable to share! What kind of glue did you end up using to try and fill the tuner peg hole gaps? In spite of all the terrible things we hear about and see as if they're becoming normalized, and contrary to my expectations from personal anecdotes, hard stats show violent crime per capita dropping overall over the past century or so. I am somehow still optimistic and hopeful for the future of humanity! On that note, VROOM - if I win, please reroll and send it to someone else, I mostly play acoustic (poorly) and it would be wasted on me.
Vroom ! Also I'm so with you on the Kluson Safe Ti Posts, it's a shame they're almost only installed on fender style , 6 inline headstocks. It also removes the risk of ruining your gig bag lining with string ends, which has happened to me with several bags. It looks like nowadays their only 3x3 models are the Mosrite ones and the variant of the concept made by Duesenberg.
Vroom. I enjoy your videos because you are entertaining. I don’t care if you can explain how to build a boost circuit. I outsource that stuff now anyway. And there are many good electronics channels from which to learn. I enjoy your mistakes, watching you counters my obsessive tendencies and gives me hope that things could just be fun for a change. The pacing and editing of your videos is top notch, the camera work is well considered, and some of the shots show artistic flair. Overall incredibly entertaining!
" vroom ,vroom "Wasn't expecting you to say Nova Scotia brother. Im just over on the end of cape breton. Love what your doing and would love to have a guitar like this. Be it win one or maybe purchase lol. Keep up the work man. Very peaceful and calming to watch.
Vroom. I've been kicking myself for years for not shelling out 300 for a gold top short scale supro, just like this one that was pristine. It disappeared off of reverb, and I've never seen one like it since. Call it a bribe, but I will gladly trade you any one of the guitars in my videos (except the tele, the guy that gave me that guitar, died in my front yard)
24:30 That's not a guitar! That's a jackhammer! Awesome Videos, keep it up. Teaching s hard, but everything needs practice ;) I m looking forward to the next ones.
I think fixing old guitars as opposed to buying new is a trend that should grow in popularity.
There are probably ~enough~ for now.
@@Notaluthier As far as I know lemon oil too is just food safe mineral oil with a scent. So using it without that scent is fine.
@@EbonyPope There's types. What dunlop calls "lemon oil" is indeed just mineral oil with a scent. Actual lemon oil is terrible for guitars.
@@kennytheamazing I know.

I can't wait to coat my countertop and cutlery in wax. Thanks for the tips!
I am entertained.... More of this please
This is a very entertaining channel. I'm a mediocre bassist myself, but I do enjoy antique "player" grade instruments like this.
You’ve created the coolest guitar in this world
you are such a breath of fresh air for youtube guitarists, love your vids, please keep them coming, vroom!
Thanks!
VROOM! Also, cool guitars, fun videos; that why we watch
I like everything about this rebuild. What s cool guitar.
It’s neat! I tried a heavier guage 13-56 because of the short scale, but ended up with 10s. I wish I had captured its loudness better
Dude I’m loving watching each video you release. I’m here for the start and for the rest !! :) Love your humor and the layout of the videos. Keep doing what you’re doing my friend. Love it :)
Thanks a lot!
This videos is hilarious, keep'm coming man🤘
This is a kick-ass build😊
VROOM! Love the national brand of guitars, there’s just something about them that make them both unapologetically old and futuristic at the same time.
Vroom vroom. So inspiring to see your kitchen sink making practice. Makes me look at my box of unfinished amp projects with new purpose. Thank you for your videos!

Just getting back into guitar after a gnarly hand injury and so stoked I found your channel!
We are in the presence of pure genius.
Agreed! I just found this channel and I'm already looking at this guy as my inspiration
That actually sounds really good. Especially with the boost cranked.
Love the music.
Great chill way to start my Sunday 🤘

A guitar builder told me he uses food-grade walnut oil on fretboards, which he buys from a healthfood store.
