      Don’t leave it in any wet grass or sand. Can’t hose of the bottom and it will get fish guts on bottom if your a pier, bridge or jetty fisherman. Could duck tape the bottom so the cloth doesn’t rip or get wet over time.

    This is a great looking bag. Tackle Junky just finished doing an ultimate tackle bag series and this is the bag he used. It's impressive how much tackle he was able to stuff into it. I really like those laser cut molle loops. Seems like you can do a lot more with them than the traditional molle straps most bags use.

    Great review! You can tell by the flag placement they(most likely) pay attention to details, due to the placement and orientation of the american flag. On the left side it will be orientated correctly ( where I think that's where they added the detail) and on the right side the flag will be orientated backwards. It is to show, charging into battle. As a veteran that detail means a good bit to me.

    Great review Mr. Bass but I'll stick with my Rodeel backpack. Dual shoulder straps, two rod holders, water bottle holder, carries 4 3600 size boxes, plenty of room at the top for plastics, and a pocket on top of that for glasses, etc. I think I paid around $70 on Amazon. Time will tell if I got what I paid for. ✌🏻🎣

  • @abuncharandomstuff

    Mr. Bass, you are the only one who does these awesome reviews so I'm hoping you can help! There doesn't really seem to be a backpack that has everything I need so I don't know if you can recommend something or maybe there's a multi-solution available?
    I love the Wild River Nomad, but it doesn't have any rod holders which are a huge necessity for me; same with no water bottle holder which isn't that big of a deal but would be really nice. One of the things I like the most about it is how rigid the bottom compartment is that holds your tackle and just how well made it feels - something else I need which is separate compartments for tackle and other things.
    Nothing seems to have rod-holders, a water bottle holder, a hard sunglasses holder and a rigid bottom compartment unless I'm just missing it. Do you have any suggestions? And sorry for the long question.

    • @MrBassTV
      @MrBassTV  3 года назад +1

      You are right David. Trying to come up with a bag that does all of that is going to be very tough. If the rod holders are an absolute for you, then you are going to have to compromise on some of the other features you want. I think most guys who are buying big expensive bags like the Nomad, just aren't really carrying rods on their back and they guys who do use rod holders are mostly bank fishermen and don't really need tons of storage. The Kast King, Flambeau Ritual Ike, Lunkerhunt LTS all have rod holders, but they don't really compare to the Nomad in size. The closest one I have looked at that also has two rod holders is the Bassdash 3670. It has alot of features, is about the same size and the Nomad and is a well built bag. Hope that helps.

  • @anthonymannarino3376
    @anthonymannarino3376 3 года назад +1

    Always go with a waterproof Bag. It rains in Florida Every afternoon and my tackle used to get wet. No feet or nonskid bottom. It would fly off my boat. The zippers might rust . I love standing on top of my boxes while sight casting. There are only 2 boxes for me to use. And you can’t see your tackle trys (without pulling them all out) and That’s sucks. This is a camping or overnight bag. The trys aren’t waterproof and there are no drain holes in bottom of bag.

    • @MrBassTV
      @MrBassTV  3 года назад +1

      I usually carry a separate dry bag for essentials that can't get wet. Tackle Bags are rarely waterproof. Some come with rain flys that help, but waterproof is very difficult to find. The few truly waterproof bags don't have pockets or organization options which is why most companies don't make completely waterproof bags. I do have a couple of videos of completely waterproof bags on the channel you may want to check out. Thanks!!

    I am trying to decide between the backpack version and the bag version. For the backpack, couple questions: I plan on trying to pack lighter, size wise is the backpack too large? Will it work while partially filled? Also, what I like about the bag versus backpack is places to externally attached things to the upper portion (lower portion not practical). Have you found places to attach with the backpack?

    Just sharing this in case it helps anyone; I really liked this bag but was torn because I wanted dedicated bottle and rod holders.
    I was able to find solutions for both utilizing the available molle connections. I'm not sure if am allowed to post links here but if you search "molle fishing rod holder", "fishing rod holster", or "fishing rod belt holder" you will see several different options. I selected a black rigid rod holder for the base that clips on the molle, and added two velcro loops above. There are a million water bottle holders so you can easily find one you like. I found a black 32oz bottle holder that laces right into the molle.

    • @MrBassTV

      Thanks for sharing! You make a great point about the Molly loops. We used Molly loops for all kinds of attachments when I was in the army and they work great. That’s an awesome saying about this pack. It’s very customizable if you get creative and think about ways to use the Molly loops.

    Calling it "tactical" alone and slapping American flags all over checks it off of my list. Those G buckles look like some gimmick to match their logo. They look completely untrustworthy and probably loosen with every step you take being there's nothing but draw tension from the strap on them. Guarantee those "free" tackle boxes are total junk too, no doubt having those god awful plastic snap latches that fall off every time you look at them. $140!?!? 🤣😂🤣 DREAM ON.
