In Phelous' Wabuu review (which has the Eastwest dub), he at some point changed to the dub used in a repeated scene in the Countryside Bears (which has the regular Dingo voice actors), and the voice acting quality rose so much that it felt I was watching a Disney movie. xD

Tom Knoll Phelous "tut" nichts dergleichen. Er sucht sich Billigkopien bekannter Animationsvorbilder (und es ist ihm dabei egal, welche Nationalität die Plagiatoren haben, s. z.B. Beauty and the Beast von Bevanfield, Aladdin von Goodtimes Entertainment) und tut das, was man mit solchen Machwerken nunmal tun sollte: Er kritisiert und veräppelt sie nach Strich und Faden. Dass "Dingo" nicht für DEN deutschen Animationsfilmstandard per se steht, ist ihm - davon darf man ruhig ausgehen - durchaus bewusst.

The characters sound like they were voiced by some homeless guy that they got from off the streets who is giving his lines while he was trying to vomit in the toilet while also simultaneously having a stroke, actually now that’s a compliment that would still be better than this, it’s that bad this is the absolute worst voice acting from dingo pictures.
He and his dad probably used to work at art media (which is where those terrible dubs originated from) and decided to dub the dingo movies that hadn't been dubbed in english yet for dirt cheap.

I lost it when the guy was coughing and they dropped the rest of the entire dialogue. On top of them repeating lines but leaving the old lines in, only having 2 kids dubbing this while they barely understood English and them even reading 'Exit scene', this was the cherry on top.

Video Brinquedo often gets labled the lazest Studio with the lowest quality Mockbusters but somehow Dingo has stayed off the radar. Maybe people hear rumor or see clips of Dingo cartoons and choose to believe this can't have possibly been sold in stores. "This can't be real, it can't be!"
It is real, it's far too real, as I found out in middle school. My parents actually fell for it and bought me a video of Dingo Pictures Camelot for my birthday. Worst birthday gift ever.

I don't know man, the Rapsities Street Kids was pretty roots already. Video Brinquedo's production values are beyond shoddy but at least the characters don't seem like a zombie from an absurdist deep web art project... I'd recommend Phelous to review the Korean anime rejects produced by Joseph Lai. This shit is like dynamite in terms of badness.

TPrower On the plus side, I think it’s the worst. I’ve seen their version of Hercules, Mouse Police and Animal Soccer World and none of them are as unbearable as this one. Argh... This dub sounds even more like an Uwe Boll DVD commentary than the previous Eastwest dub.

Actually, phelan, it's much much worse. Wabuu likes "fat bears, fried until crisp, but also raw." It makes salmon-interrupting bear's death seem a bit more like a sacrifice to Wabuu in that sense.

9:57 this actually took me like 3 watches before I figured this out, but he's actually not calling the Parrot Silly. He's saying "Salaam Alaikum" as in the Arabic greeting. The problem is they seriously tried to get this Dutch speaking child reading off a script to pronounce something Arabic. Let alone know what the hell he was reading. And from the way he's pronouncing Alaikum they probably misspelled it on the script anyway from the sounds of it. Just wow.

I'm not surprised the Dingo cartoons were made on an Amiga No but really the "garbage area" for an animation is like the bleed on a full-page book: you can't always be absolutely certain that your animation frames will fit EXACTLY within the borders of the final composite frame (especially if you need to nudge cells this way or that, or you have panning background that's hard to calculate), so you give yourself ~a quarter to a half inch on all sides leeway (usually more for backgrounds) and then crop the final to the intended screen size. Dingo did all that and then didn't bother cropping it when they exported to video.

Great review as always, but speaking of Dingos Pocahontas: you said in that review that Armin Drogat is the voice of Wabuu and King "my god" ... well, not really. Drogat voiced only the german versions - he's the german Wabuu, so we still don't know who's the voice of the english King "my god" (also, if you search Drogats name on YT, you can find a video called "Strickwunder Version Opa" where he uses his Wabuu voice. Also he's apperantly a stage actor and played Dracula [hopefully with his Wabuu voice - "Those vampire hunters are sooo stupid"])

Honestly this looks like the worst Dingo movie they've got, that is until I remember Dingo's Hercules is apparently even worse. There are few things in the world that truly scare me, the possibility of Dingo's Hercules being worse then this is now one of them.
Speaking of Hercules, will he ever do the "Hercules and Xena battle for mount Olympus" movie? It may not be as bad as the Dingo stuff but it still a gold mined of animated awkwardness.

Alladin is what we called Aladdin as little kids here in Finland, because we were stupid kids that had no grasp on foreign names, and I guess Alladin was easier to say. Figures Dingo would name their movie that. 4:30 Did he just call himself Bawuu?
It's easy to come to the conclusion that there were just two voice actors literally reading a script they barely understand while watching the german version, but that doesn't explain why the Iago and Lamp!Genie sound.... better than that. Seriously, listen to how they talk: not only is there a clear attempt at a character (annoying bird and powerful genie) but their lines are delivered with confidence, as if they actually understand the words coming out of their mouth.
Sounds like he may have changed the pitch/speed a bit and zoomed in. That'll usually let you get away with the stuff you shouldn't have to get away with due to Fair Use.
I find it incredible that the original German versions of those Dingo movies sounds "normal" while every version in other languages is terrible. At least we have the money and respect to at least try. Also the carpet scene with the singing is one of the best moments in the Dingo series. As a translation, Aladdin is singing about how good carpet flying is for the environment.

As I just mentioned to someone else, if Dingo would just recolor his teeth to yellow and give him an opera musical number, then they would pretty much have their version of the Great Mighty Poo boss that Conker had to battle.
Please react to the Cannon Films' live-action musical Beauty and the Beast film from 1986. There's an old man, dancing statues, a painting that creepily comes to life, and the Beast has the ability to stalk Beauty in her dreams because he's gotten desperate. Plus, no stupid "I'll die of loneliness" bullshit, he just says he'll die and Beauty doesn't question it.

The characters sound like they were voiced by some homeless guy that they got from off the streets who is giving his lines while he was trying to vomit in the toilet while also simultaneously having a stroke, actually now that’s a compliment that would still be better than this, it’s that bad this is the absolute worst voice acting from dingo pictures.

Video Brinquedo often gets labled the lazest Studio with the lowest quality Mockbusters but somehow Dingo has stayed off the radar. Maybe people hear rumor or see clips of Dingo cartoons and choose to believe this can't have possibly been sold in stores. "This can't be real, it can't be!"

No but really the "garbage area" for an animation is like the bleed on a full-page book: you can't always be absolutely certain that your animation frames will fit EXACTLY within the borders of the final composite frame (especially if you need to nudge cells this way or that, or you have panning background that's hard to calculate), so you give yourself ~a quarter to a half inch on all sides leeway (usually more for backgrounds) and then crop the final to the intended screen size.
Dingo did all that and then didn't bother cropping it when they exported to video.

Great review as always, but speaking of Dingos Pocahontas: you said in that review that Armin Drogat is the voice of Wabuu and King "my god" ... well, not really. Drogat voiced only the german versions - he's the german Wabuu, so we still don't know who's the voice of the english King "my god" (also, if you search Drogats name on YT, you can find a video called "Strickwunder Version Opa" where he uses his Wabuu voice. Also he's apperantly a stage actor and played Dracula [hopefully with his Wabuu voice - "Those vampire hunters are sooo stupid"])

It's easy to come to the conclusion that there were just two voice actors literally reading a script they barely understand while watching the german version, but that doesn't explain why the Iago and Lamp!Genie sound.... better than that.
Seriously, listen to how they talk: not only is there a clear attempt at a character (annoying bird and powerful genie) but their lines are delivered with confidence, as if they actually understand the words coming out of their mouth.

I find it incredible that the original German versions of those Dingo movies sounds "normal" while every version in other languages is terrible. At least we have the money and respect to at least try.
Also the carpet scene with the singing is one of the best moments in the Dingo series.
As a translation, Aladdin is singing about how good carpet flying is for the environment.
