Awesome tutorial! Thanks for NOT taking us through your day of “sorry my dog is barking, I just woke up, and I’m getting my nails done today”. You got to the point and did a perfect presentation; very clear and concise and answered all of my questions, especially how to make my own spines (and how to adhere them after the book has been heated). Cheers! 😊
You're so welcome!
Absolutely and I completely agree! Beautiful workmanship. Your tutorial is the best I’ve watched (I’ve watched quite a few). Thank you for sharing ❤
And now! We have the Cinch Stack Cutter coming out in June!!!
That is going to be a game changer for sure! Can’t hardly wait❤
Yes it is! Very excited! But do I have room?
@@nikkisscrapbookingadventures perhaps lol hopefully it can be stored easily or flat or…
It doesn’t look too big 🤔
Thank you for showing that opening. They refuse to admit that it doesn't lay flat. I wish they would be more transparent. Great tip, and thank you very much!
agreed! they just kind of skip it in all the videos
Great tips! I like the idea of gluing the spine down after it's glued and the extra scoring.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for a great tutorial. You explained it well, stayed on point and what I enjoyed the post, you explained how to get the book to open like a professionally made book. That part really had me confused until now. I purchased the Cinch from HSN and they go through demos so fast but I felt the Cinch would be more attractive than the binding machine I was using. Most of the books I will make will be 8.5x11 with about 10-15 pages. Again, thank you for making this tutorial and all your good hints.
You're so welcome! I felt like there was definitely a need for someone to address the issue of how the book opened. Glad I helped answer it!
I bought glue strips on Ali Express and they work perfectly. The good thing with the ones I bought they are very thin so you can use as little or a lot depending on what size book you are making. Cost was very cheap for a hundred and a good length. I live in Australia and I'm very happy with the results. Cheers Jan
that's awesome! Good to know that you can use other brands as well:)
I never shop Alli Express or Temu. I believe it is supporting creative thievery.
Thank you that was the best review I have seen on RUclips. Yes lots of people just flick the books and I want mine to open flat. I have ordered one and eagerly await it's arrival I was beginning to think I had made a huge mistake because all I had seen were problems. Huge thanks.
You're so welcome! It's one of my favorite tools. I hope you enjoy making with it!
I love how you teach. I have this one my Christmas list for this year as I don't seem to be able to do the spine part of putting together journals. I watched one two days ago that made me take it off the list because it was to short and didn't go into the detail I was looking for. I am now subbed, liked, alarmed and commented to your channel and looking forward to more things I need to know.
I'm so glad u liked my video!
PS I have seen other videos where once the book has been heated and before setting it in the cooling area, take the book and tap it firmly against the spine on your desk or table to make sure pages get down into the hot glue.
Yep. That's what I do if I need to heat it a second time. But even tapping won't help if it isn't even touching the glue which was the case if my instance. Prb had too many pages😆
I’ve purchased, via HSN, but haven’t used it yet. This video was most helpful to me when I get started on making my Mother’s Day books.
Thank you for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent!!!!!
Glad you like it!
Great tutorial!! Thx 🥰
Glad it was helpful!
I've watched this video a few times and I love this machine so far!
Awesome! So glad this has helped!!!
LOVE! I think I saw a tutorial where someone DID NOT adhere the glue strip to the spine and had a hard time getting the pages to line up right. I still have my cinch in the box because of that. Now, after seeing your tutorial I can't wait to make something!
Fantastic! Just expect that it will take some time to figure out what works for you and don’t forget to have fun!
Thanks for the tutorial
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
Such a great tutorial! Thank you and like the book.
glad I am able to help! have fun creating!
Fabulous tips! ❤❤❤
You're welcome 😊
So thankful to have found your tutorial. New subscriber for sure! Wonderful video!
Awesome! So glad you found me:)
Really good tip about using the straight edges of the paper for the binding section. I never thought of that. I have had the thermal cinch since it was the special on HSN. I actually ordered it early to make sure I got one if they sold out. I got the autoship too. I want to get a couple of the collections they showed. I have made several notebooks. Now I think I need a big paper cutting tool! One that can cut a hundred sheets at once. Not sure where I will put it.
Agreed😳 but it looks so handy!
Excellent tutorial! The best I have seen and I have watched many
Wow, thanks!
Thanks for sharing these great tips! I got mine from HSN last week so now I’m ready to test it out
Have fun!
Great video. Bought the thermal cinch on HSN. I was nervous about making a book, but your tutorial was very helpful. Excited to make my first book.
Great! Have so much fun😊

Fabulous tutorial! Just subscribed to your channel. ❤
Yay! Thank you!
Great tutorial!
Glad you think so!
Very thorough. Thx for being concise in teaching us. Could I ask what glue did you use for the spine onto the front cover?
art glitter glue: shrsl.com/40cex
Can you use other glues or glue tapes such as redline if you run out of the cinch glue for the spine??
no, you need the hot glue strips but I don't think you have to purchase the ones from we r makers, there are glue strips from amazon that should work fine.
I have not gotten my machine yet. But if the straps are essentially hot glue, I was wondering... could I put hot glue between two silicone mats to flatten it and cut into strips?
I got mine before for my birthday instead of having to wait until Christmas. The box had a big hole in it so I panicked. I plugged it, it worked, set the time, it worked. However when I ran my hand over the top, the only place that I could really feel the heat was near the top of where the timer button was. Near the back end, I could barely feel any heat at all. Is this normal or is it defective?
I didn't try a book yet as I am waiting on strips to come in so that I don't ruin the 3 good ones that comes with the pink.
I think the best thing to do is to try it out and see if u can make a book with it. The sooner u test it the better so u can still contact the seller if something is wrong
@@nikkisscrapbookingadventures I did let them know so if it does have a problem I can return it. They said that it was okay to wait.
Could you have made the covers and spine just one piece?
Yes! That's what I did in the original tutorial I was going to use but had too much technical issues with.
Do you know if it can take on a journal thickness spine?
You add more glue strips to make the book thicker.
@@nikkisscrapbookingadventures Thank you.
Great tips!
glad they're helpful!
