yup. I have one because of how dangerous cars and mothers in particular get. I only use the road if theres no cycle path. And without fault you get mothers using them who will T pose and yell abuse. You use the road and you get twits that purposely overtake as close as they can (or try and rm you off the road). when I drive, i give cyclists a wide berth and hold back until its safe and legal to overtake.
Don't kmow about cameras but someone bought me heated gloves for my pushbike in the winter...so what do I plug those or even a camera into on a pedal bike?

I have said this many times, and I really believe that a driving-licence should only be valid for ten-years, and then when we need to renew our photo , we should have to take another driving-test before the licence is reissued. It would certainly get a lot of deadwood off the road - especially people like Colin - and make the roads a lot safer for everyone else.
There are 50 million drivers in the UK, so even if their renewal dates are equally spread that would be 5 million driving tests, per annum. The average capacity for all our driving test centres is 1.5 million tests per year. You would like them to handle 6.5 million tests? Well, we would need five times as many test centres and five times as many examiners. Not very likely, there are much bigger problems to solve.

The driver should have waited until past the central refuge even if carrying straight on. Turning left at the junction, it's a no-brainer: the cyclist going straight on has priority. This is why cyclists are recommended to take primary position - the middle of the lane - through such junctions.
