Nice! Amazing and ingenious custom work and detailing. May I suggest for your next build that you can use hiddenly reinforced barns, water towers, or transmission towers as finger hold points to lift tunnel cover sections straight up.
That corner tunnel you made is brilliant, and so well suited to T gauge because the 'lid" is so small, also I like that it's a 180 degrees u turn sending the train quickly back in to view where it's supposed to be. Great layout!
@@daveb.trains7019 They do look like the ICE tunnels that I've seen in Germany. I try to travel by train when in Germany. Way less expensive than gasoline!
always wanted to build a model train layout ever since I was a kid playing with my dads train sets he got as a teen. But I never had the space for it. T gauge intrigues me since its possible to make a small layout that would even fit onto a small shelf
Thank you for the nice comment! You’re right, a train station would look good. Maybe I can fit one next to the town……good future project. Thanks for watching!
Thanks! The grass mats are from TGauge.com and sold as t gauge 1:450. They could probably be used for Z and Maybe N scale also. One of the grassy areas is a sheet of felt which can be obtained from any craft store.
I’m looking to build my first model railroad I’m thinking N or smaller if I can find something I like. I can get a N starter set for about $150 at a near by hobby store
Thanks for watching! Yes, they can run slower and in future videos I will make a conscious effort to slow them down. I noticed when I run the trains they never seem that fast in person, but do appear too fast on video (even a high speed ICE train).
Hi Ricky, T Gauge is 1:450 and Marklin mini is Z scale or 1:220, so T is about half the size of Z. After working with T Gauge for a while, Marklin mini or any other Z scale equipment seems enormous! Thanks for watching!
T gauge is insane. My eyes could never cope with modelling in that scale but I tip my hat to you for an excellent layout.
Thank you for the nice comment!
Amazing layout! Love the big open scenery. Made practically possible with such a small scale!
Thank you!
Good Video! Thumbs Up 😊👍 Best Greetings
Thank you!
I can’t image the satisfaction of having finally put this together.
10/10
Thank you for the nice comment! And, it is most fun trying a different scale.
Wow, what an amazing layout! Haven’t seen a T gauge layout this good before, congrats!
Thank you!
Excellent small layout with great details throughout. Tunnel culverts using pvc pipe was brilliant idea.
Thank you, I appreciate your comment!
Description is done very professionally. Crisp and clear. Good job.
Thanks!
That’s really cool! Greetings from Sweden👏
Hello, and thank you!
Nice! Amazing and ingenious custom work and detailing. May I suggest for your next build that you can use hiddenly reinforced barns, water towers, or transmission towers as finger hold points to lift tunnel cover sections straight up.
Thank you! Yes, your ideas for finger hold points would be helpful to lift up the tunnel section.

Thanks Allistair, I appreciate your comments! Dave

Beautiful work! It makes me want to try it for my next layout.
Thank you!
Great layout!
Thank you!
Cool layout Dave!
Thank you Vincent!
Great tunnel idea! That could even be scaled up to N with a larger piece of PVC pipe.
Thank you! I thought it gave a good representation of the tunnels seen in Germany on ICE trackage.

Thanks for watching! Yes, a lot can be done with T gauge in a small space like a shelf.
Amazing build qualitet 👍would be Nice to see a video , on how you make the Lake , just awesome
Thank you for the nice comment!
Very cool result, my friend!! I think you have to make in this layout a tine train station! I think it will enrich all set!
Greetings from Brazil!

Very clever layout....
Thank you!
Looks fantastic. (I’d need a Ritalin drip to do this.)
Thank you!
That's an amazing layout. Thanks for sharing. May I ask how do you have realized the gras? Are these matts in 1:480? The statue is brilliant :D
Thanks! The grass mats are from TGauge.com and sold as t gauge 1:450. They could probably be used for Z and Maybe N scale also. One of the grassy areas is a sheet of felt which can be obtained from any craft store.
superbe
Thank you!
wow, one of the most beautyfull T gauge layout; very uncommon, the scenery is good
Thank you for the nice comment!

N scale is good, there is a wide range of products available in a range of prices also.
Seen many T gauge sets and trains are running fast, is there any way to run them slower and still run clean and not clunky
Thanks for watching! Yes, they can run slower and in future videos I will make a conscious effort to slow them down. I noticed when I run the trains they never seem that fast in person, but do appear too fast on video (even a high speed ICE train).
DaveB,
T gauge is this comparable to Marklin mini?
Hi Ricky, T Gauge is 1:450 and Marklin mini is Z scale or 1:220, so T is about half the size of Z. After working with T Gauge for a while, Marklin mini or any other Z scale equipment seems enormous! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for clarifying Dave.
It is somewhat confusing allthose terms.
So is this scale even smaller than Z scale. It looks microscopic! I want one.
Hi, thanks for watching! Yes, it is 1:450 or half the size of Z scale. Check out Tgauge.com
What size is the layout base?
2x4 ft.
Did You make Your own power box? I want to spare some coins cause 60$ is like a lot...
No, the power box was part of a starter set I purchased from Tgauge.com.
That is amazing!!! I had no idea there were "T" gauge trains.
Thank you!
Very Nice !
Thank you!
