امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- بعض روایتوں میں ردوا هذين حتى يصطلحا ”ان دونوں کو اپنے حال پر چھوڑ دو جب تک صلح نہ کر لیں“ کے الفاظ مروی ہیں، ۳- مهتجرين کے معنی متصارمين ”قطع تعلق کرنے والے“ ہیں، ۴- یہ حدیث اسی روایت کے مثل ہے جو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے مروی ہے، آپ نے فرمایا: ”کسی مسلمان کے لیے جائز نہیں کہ وہ اپنے بھائی کے ساتھ تین دن سے زیادہ قطع تعلق کرے“۔ l.
