Twiggy is a girl, she's peppy. Alot of people think that twiggy is a boy for some reason.(pls no twiggy hate)
Alot of the characters have very ambiguous looks. I can always tell (except for in the case of Truffles, I literally still accidently call her a boy) cause I've always been super into character design. But alot of people have a hard time recognizing slight stylistic changes in male and female anthropomorphic characters which is fair enough

Hey Ryan! I passed on Octavian this morning. He was my second ticket. I found Raymond on my 6th. I passed on him too. Apparently Raymond wanted to move in with me because I took him the third time I ran into him. lol.

Bruh I passed on octavian and when I ran out of tickets I was forced to take whoever's moved in and it turned out that octavian moved in lol

Octavian is awesome! He showed up on my island early on in the game when Tom nook filled one of my plots and I wasn’t sure if I would like him, but it’s been 5 months and I still have him!
I went looking for an Alligator villager and I found Gayle on my 3rd ticket! I was so happy, Gayle is precious. ❤
hunted for one of my dreamies while watching this and found 2 of them, and decided to take sherb on my 9th ticket. today is a goood day as pascal would say

Edit: btw I'm not trying to be mean to Octavian, but I already had Marina and Zucker, so I didnt exactly need another octopus.

the EXACT same thing happened to me. like i was looking for ruby but got octavian even tho i already had zucker and marina.
BUT i did end up getting ruby later so, hopefully our stories will continue to match and you still get ruby soon!

@Berylli if I'm not mistaken, the octopuses are some of the most common villagers to find. basically when you go to an island the game randomises the species of animal first and then the actual villagers.
there's 35 species of animals and 3 octopuses, so you have a 1/35 chance of getting an octopus and then a 1/3 chance of getting Octavian.
if you were looking for a specific cat for example this would be much much harder because there are 26 different cats, so you would have a 1/35 chance of getting a cat AND THEN a 1/26 chance of getting Tangy.
i think personality types also play a roll here but I'm not sure, i think the game might balance out the personality types you already have in your island.

good looking out on the mole cricket tip.. I kept searching for the cricket earlier I was hearing (Flick is on my Island today) ...couldn't find the damn thing anywhere! didn't realize it'd be in the ground.
I came in as soon as I could loool (update: i think you did what everyone else did at the beginning... Take the octopus and call it a day, they're cool enough!)
When I first heard you say to "always drop the ladder" but didn't give an explanation, I thought it was like a superstition thing 🤣

I never really wanted Octavian for myself, but when I went hunting for a cranky villager he popped up and I went with him. And I'm enjoying him! He was so fun during the trick or treat!
Olaf is one of my dreamies since he was one of my original villagers when I started New Leaf years ago and he’s still there. 😭😭💖💖

I was super lucky for everything until i passed up eugene on an 7 ticket hunt and only got the ugliest villagers after😭😭

To get a three star island you need to plant 150+ flowers either from other villages or buying from nooks cranny, and get to ten villagers

I got Lyman as my very first villager along with Katt
Barold is moving onto my South Island replacing Tia. I got her framed photo and I’m changing villagers to oddballs. I had Beardo move in and expect Tabby who will replace Marina, and Stinky whom I’ll have take over for Octavian come live with Erik, Raymond, Dom, Sherb, and Audie. I am undecided whether to keep Mabel, or replace her Cranston because I also have framed photo(s). Good luck finding Lyman.

@@teckz__ they added character over a year ago to my one of my Animal Crossing islands. I had them for a while until I got the photo and then they left. Pretty villagers, or ugly villagers? It’s subjective. Considering I have almost every top tier villager Amiibo card,(I own almost 300 from previous games) oddballs can be interesting sometimes, or keep the top tier. It’s your island. Not sure about the language issue but I even know when you replace pronouns correctly. For example We, Animal Crossing players sometimes enjoy oddballs on our islands.

@@teckz__ nah I hunted Barold for Beardo as a partner. I only mentioned the Amiibo cards cause until the new content (version 2.0) I was getting bored and getting photos was only thing keeping me interested, that’s why the oddballs were interesting. I myself hate the lions, so yeah accept villagers you want.

Fun fact about my island: one of my starter villagers when I just started playing was Lyman

Gotta say the ladder thing didn't work for me because I remember when I started my island and went looking for villagers with Nook Miles and saw Merry but she was on a cliff. It may have been before I even got the ladder in the game but I remember I couldn't get over to her.

I think I’ve got a northern hemisphere island (I chose Europe)
And I got Clay as a random villager on the plots I have to make the furniture for. You know those 3 dammed plots, it took me to deforest a lot of my island for it

I dropped my latter once but I got a island with a Cliff 👁👄👁
All that means is there won’t be a villager on a cliff when your villager hunting
You'll still get cliffs but the villager won't be on the cliff
I wish I could get Eugene. Then again, I wish I could get the game but if I ever have the chance, I’m getting Eugene unless I have someone cooler I’m looking for AND I believe that everyone else on my island is cooler than him. Other than that, I’m getting him!
