Hawkeyes really routed them. Had to be frustrating for the Cyclones D-unit, to just not be able to stop Iowa, no matter what. Great unis here, for Iowa State. I think Ronnie Harmon ended up playing with the Buffalo Bills, alingside, or spelling, Thurman Thomas. And Iowa State's QB, Archer, was a fierce competitor, who won the starting job with the Atlanta Falcons after Bartkowski suffered injuries. He gave that sad sack Atlanta offense some pizzazz, as he could run and buy time, or get yardage - something an immobile Bart could not do anynore, with the bad knees.
Curt Gowdy is a hell of an announcer, but this game is not his finest performance. He missed the call on an interception, a fumble and a PAT that missed by a mile just in these highlights. But he did smoke a cigar while calling the game, so I'll be a bit lenient lol
