I dont even get the appeal. like with transformers you can pose them and play with them and all that good stuff. this is like trading cards but with pops.
Interesting point is how the Japanese figure culture is wildly different from the western collector culture. For one, taking it out of the box only _slightly_ reduces its resale value, like 10 dollar difference kind of thing, if it's still in perfect condition there's no reason to complain about a broken seal. Another thing is that they don't really have speculation in mind with pricing, while yes a figure released a long time ago that people want, but isn't common, the price can start going up. Often though if the figure is reaching around 300% of its original price on resale they'll "re-run" the figure at the original price point. Few people will really care about the differences between the "original" and "re-run" figures ultimately killing appreciation. Most figures being sold are "making space" or "paying bills" figures are rarely sold as an "asset" like collectors items over here. So if a 50 dollar pop is worth 50 dollars, it's worth 50 dollars even if it was "sold in Japan" because somebody in Japan could sell it to you for 50 dollars.
Stickers matter, some are target, hot topic, etc exclusives. Some may be the same but the sticker is like the difference between a Pokémon and it’s shiny counterpart. Shiny may be the same Pokémon, but it’s more rare.

I think SOME stickers should matter but not the store exclusive ones.
Spedy over here def needa get his glasses fixed 😂
The only one I'm interested in is the Chester the Cheetah one😅
Stickers matter, some are target, hot topic, etc exclusives. Some may be the same but the sticker is like the difference between a Pokémon and it’s shiny counterpart. Shiny may be the same Pokémon, but it’s more rare.
Imagine thinking funko pops are worth anything.
I suppose it depends on who is buying the POP. If you're a collector the sticker definitely matters. If not it doesn't.
Brings in a funko with a blockbuster sticker on it
