Pugneys Light Railway is a 7 1/4 gauge railway that was opened in 1998 and has been running ever since. It's a great place for families to spend a day together, enjoying the picturesque surroundings and the thrill of a train ride.
The railway is located in Pugneys Country Park, which is a beautiful park with a lake, a beach, and plenty of open space for picnics and games. The railway is a great addition to the park, offering a unique experience for visitors.
The railway is operated by a dedicated group of volunteers who keep the trains running smoothly and ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable time. The trains are small and charming, and the journey is a delight for both adults and children. They opening hours 11am until 4pm on weekends, bank holidays and school holidays, weather permitting.
