- Should you do Preferred Club at Dreams Dominicus La Romana or not? A question many visitors traveling to this resort ask themselves. This video identifies the primary reason why you may want to consider Preferred.
HOW WE WORK:
We do things a bit differently here. Some resorts can be perfect for some couples/families yet complete disasters or disappointments for the next. What we do is identify the destination(s) and resorts within those destinations that best align with your unique vacation "vision". In order to help us "see" what your trip looks like, please visit www.myfavoritetravelagent.net & click "Get a Quote" & complete the vacation questionnaire.
Your answers and input will allow us to identify the best possible options that are a perfect match for *you*.
FUN FACTS:
*Did you know, according to Forbes, the average family will save $500 when using a travel agent?
*If you book your vacation online, you are actually paying for the services of a travel agent but unfortunately, not receiving the benefits of those services when going it alone.
*According to Google, it takes the average consumer 32 visits to 10 different websites just to book an airline ticket?
*The internet is great for looking but when it comes to booking; use a professional!
We look forward to working together in creating your perfect vacation!
I've done both. I love their beach club bar area.
Update: Enhancement project planned for the Preferred Club Beach Lounge at Dreams® Dominicus La Romana. Work will begin September 26, 2019, with an estimated completion date of October 31, 2019.
Planned enhancements include a lounge expansion featuring a full bar, self-service buffet stations and a kitchen.
My favorite resort I have been there 4 time excellent service NO complaints about and always preferred club is better
does it worth to get the preferred club?
Where are located the prefered rooms? And the prefered suites? Are there any near the beach?
I know this video is a bit old, but if you travel here and a covid test is required the preferred club is most likely worth it. We stayed 5 days, 4 nights and the cost of preferred was a little over $100 total. With preferred, your covid test's are free, without preferred they are $30 so it was a better deal to pay the upgrade, get the free tests and enjoy the amenities. If you're considering the upgrade and covid testing is not required, then I would skip it. The prime real estate in the preferred beach side still cost money to reserve and the beach is the same. Also, nothing is stopping you from wandering over to the other side. The preferred restaurants are useless because the food is horrible. This resort is just about perfect. The beach, rooms, staff, pools, are all top notch however the food leaves a lot to to be desired. The only exception is the hibachi restaurant, however it is kind of a pain to ensure you have a reservation.
Great video !! Are the preferred rooms far from beach area ?
They can be. The Preferred Club layout here is a bit wonky. I recommend getting in touch w/ a reputable Travel Advisor who knows the property well & can guide you into the right room category & onsite location.
Question, do they doing the COVID test before you let the resort to traver
DOMINICUS EN K MUNICIPIO SE ENCUENTRA
Hello are there any differences in the room position in the resort. Meaning are the preferred rooms closer to the beach?
The quirky thing here is that the Preferred Rooms are across the street,, in the back of the property. I always thought the beachfront spa was wasted real-estate. That could have been a prime location for Preferred Club Suites.., but what do we know? ;)
Hello from Germany! Are the sunbeds included or do I have to pay for them? Greetings
Hello from Ohio! The loungers are free (first come, first serve). The cabanas are an additional cost per day that you must reserve with the concierge.
Hi, is it possible to be a preferred club and live in the main building area? I want a preferred status but do not want to live in the preferred/family section across the street
At time of booking, the simple answer is "no". You will have to determine which is more important to you ~ Preferred Status or Suite location. If Preferred Status, that will need to be booked & you'll have to inquire upon arrival if you can change room location while retaining status. If suite location is more important, that will need to be booked & you'll have to inquire upon arrival if you can upgrade to receive Preferred Status.
@@MyFavoriteTravelAgen Thank you! Really strange sutuation especially that the rooms seam just the same...
@@user-bt2uj2yi6u It is strange. This is one resort layout I have never understood. Why have Preferred Guests in the very back of the resort?? It doesn't make sense & I wouldn't be surprised if they modify this at some point in time. Until then though.....
One more question )) preferred club it for extra charge?
Yes, Preferred Club is an extra charge.
@@MyFavoriteTravelAgen how much was the extra cost?
@@rissa3224 Pricing can vary based on a variety of circumstances, like time of year traveling, any promo's, etc.
Preffered will give you almost nothing. The preffered restaurant on the beach sucks. The only differens is that preffered bar offers you bottled beer.Preffered club is upsale a gimmick.
I personally would do Preferred Club at this resort for the exclusive beach area alone. Here are the other Preferred Club amenities:
Personalized check-in and check-out
Special concierge service
Preferred status and amenities
Preferred Club suites in premium locations
Upgraded mini-bar
Upgraded bath amenities
Bathrobes and slippers in-suite
Pillow menu
Complimentary newspaper in-suite daily (English and Spanish)
Private Preferred Club Lounge
Daily continental breakfast service
Afternoon hot and cold hors d’oeuvres
Exquisite desserts and fine liquors
Private Preferred Club beach area
Is it worth it? Preffered Club + Swim Out
100% Worth it
@@MyFavoriteTravelAgenthank you for your reply, i know the extras but if you don't mind, can you please let me know what's the selling point? is this a crowded resort?
I recommend getting in touch with reputable Travel Advisor to ensure you are matched with the destination, resort & room category that is a perfect fit for you. I have no idea who you are, or your expectations, budget, etc. A good TA will qualify you well. For me... yest it is 100% worth it. Is it a crowded resort? Yes, it can be. Again, a reputable travel advisor can help identify opportune times to go when it may not be so bad. Hope this is of help.
