  • One of my Marx buddies and I made a trade for some parts. He sent me three AF passenger cars that I really like! The roofs were a little rough so I sanded and repainted them a nice glossy red (they were red previously) I cleaned up the wheels and roller pickups, added the missing light bulbs, then added some window silhouettes printed out on vellum paper. One car was missing the T&S couplers so I bolted in some Marx E7 couplers and they work fine for now till I can get some AF originals. One car is missing a journal box but I have a set of AF trucks I can steal one from.

Looks great, runs great, and sounds great. I managed to purchase a Marx RDC, excellent condition at a great price and a 901 Marx Western Pacific AA with diesel sound with the matching bay window caboose at another reasonable price. 😎🚂🚃🚃🚃✝

thanks Gary. My first Marx E7 was WP AB. Found the whole set at a rummage sale for 30 bucks in the summer of 2012
