The transport systems in Germany makes the UK's transport systems (outside of London) look like complete utter rubbish.

The underground Metro at 14:27 was opened december 2021 with 12 years of total build time. I was 11 year old back in the time. The build startet approximately in the year of 2009/11

@@benolifts true, but a friend of mine I recently rode it with was pissed about the tram-train having no a/c, being very loud and overcrowded and he had to take a detour on our next trip not to use the tram train for long-distance-ish travel again - so ig it's not for everyone-

@@connectingwings7212 it's not really long distance. It's more like tram+regional train in one. For the city and outer lying areas, including one or two neighbouring cities, but no more than that

This is what South Wales is getting. Class 398 Tram-trains that would operate on existing heavy rail and newly built tram tracks in the Cardiff area.

There are no tram systems in the UK that are comparable to Karlsruhe. The quality and scale of the tram systems in the UK are rubbish does not come close compared to Karlsruhe.
