Am I the only one rewatching these guys’ videos? Especially the long start to finish house builds! Love the whole crew and their energy. Makes what their doing all the more interesting🥰
Totally agree ... The series' are awesome 1) you get a demystified view of a whole construction project 2) there's a bit of a storyline / cast of characters to follow along with. Good stuff Perkins!
Me too, and I love the interaction with Ramelle in this. So cool to have the homeowner in on the comments. I absolutely love the finished product. I'm about to have my own home built and I feel sorry for the guys building it. Because I have learned from the best! And my home in Kansas will be built to Perkins boys standards! My home will have red doors, white home and blue roof. I love Ramelles purple front door, but I'm all about red, white and blue.
Jamie should film and upload the process of him building the table from the wood that was harvested from the property where you and your crew are filming and uploading building a home.
You guys build beautiful homes and in beautiful scenery, but MAN, do you get into some really tight spots to try and build in. Have you EVER said no to anyone? Just on the location?
I love that it always shows the most important similarity no matter where you live on earth ... we are all the same ... boys will be boys no matter how old we are ... :D
Thanks guys! I always learn something and I always end up laughing too. This is the perfect balance in what I like to think of as edutainment. I thought I was being like Jamie and coining a new word but as I typed it came up as a suggestion so I guess it’s already in use. Haha.
Laser on a tripod and a measuring stick will solve the unlevel measuring problem. A Lazer and tripod is not that expensive. The measuring stick will tell you how far to measure down from the Laser mark to where you need your string to be. Remember to start at your highest point and work out from there. 65 yr. old builder here, hope the info helps.
I absolutely love watching your channel I watch the other builds all the time Jamie is so smart Erik is the perfect personality for this and Jason , Arlo , Ray, and Jono what a team I wish I lived near you guys I only seem to watch you and the Essential Craftsman
@@lylewaters6161 it was covered in a video a year or two back. erik went off to school, and jaime went straight to work for his dad iirc. erik then came back, dad retired, and they both took hold of the company. I think jaime was (and continues to be) just a curious guy and learned all the things he set his mind to
Hi from Japan. Thanks for the inspiring and encouraging video, showing us DIYers how to do it (particularly finding corners on a sloped site) simply, or in a more sophisticated manner. I've sent you a DM to say hello. Cheers.
Hey showing the benefits of the surveying technology was really helpful. A lot of times I'll get in groove marking things out in a certain way. Having a sponsor show how to use a tool helped see why someone would pay for an expensive tool. Having yall perspective of "just getting the job done" plus "here's a way to do it if you have the option" was cool.
Easy-to-follow shed designs This guide has the information you need to design and build your own ideal backyard shed. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxzaRUJNcbypw-fRBDbqqz43ULIa-1EGP- The book then presents several basic sheds, along with a number of more complex special-use sheds. It was fantastic and I wanted to let all the readers know that even a little old Grandma can build a shed. Thanks to the author for offering all the directions to build a shed from start to finish.
I really enjoyed the section with GeoMax. I've also enjoyed similar segments in the past where you tell us about the particular tools or the new building materials. Your show is always great, but adding the learning makes it even better. Thanks.
If I was ever to build another house…I would pay whatever it takes to have PerkinsBuilderBrothers do it…because Y’all do amazing work. I’m so excited to watch this new series 💯🫶🏻😎✌🏼
Perkins builder bro’s. Always loook forward to the next upload. At work at the hospital enjoying your guys content here in upstate Batavia New York. Keep up the great work fellas !
Absolutely love watching these videos while on my lunch break, it's amazing how fast the work can get done when you have a crew that knows what they are doing.
When your truck is in park the back wheels are the only thing holding it in place but if your park it with 4 wheel locked in the front will be in park to, love you guys stuff just thought I would throw that out their
When the dump truck was emptying for he driveway, he could start dumping, backing up, at the end of the driveway over what he dumped. This way, when he leaves, he can drive over gravel. Also, it is compacting it at the same time.
Glad someone picked this up. Here in Australia you wouldn't get a truck license if you didn't know those simple tips. Crack the tailgate open on chains, tip it up slowly and reverse over the load, not only does this get you out of a sticky paddock but also spreads the load for the client.
I am soooo tired after finding y'alls channel a few days ago. Your long videos, and these, are amazing! So hooked. Keeping me up late watching them. Lol. Subscribed!!
Enjoyed seeing how you got the exact measurements to dig the foundation! Always the video seems like it ends just after it starts! Love every second guys! Be safe💪🙏👌
Thank you for all the videos I really enjoy them. I just ordered a shirt from your store. I really like watching the entire projects from start to finish. I know this is a lot of extra work making the videos so thanks a bunch. I am a fire captain and I look forward to coming home after shift and laughing with you and your crew. Thanks.
This one hits close to home. I had 14 loads of select fill dirt delivered a few weeks ago to my property which is basically just made of 100% sugar sand. The girl driving truck number 3 didn't stay on the established gravel path and she buried her fully loaded truck. Took me and 2 other drivers almost 3 hours to first dig her out and then multiple attempts to pull her truck out. Had to burn two full loads of fill to pack back into the hole her dump truck left so the next batch of trucks didn't get stuck. Fun time. lol
I’ve been a excavator for over twenty years and I think I might have a fun fact for you if you don’t already know it. So on you’re grade pole if you’re laser beam is higher than you can reach to place your receiver that’s what the measurements on the back of your pole is for. So take your receiver and place it at the very top of your pole, stand at your lowest corner and start extending your grade pole with the section that the receiver is on witch would be the very last section of the pole while keeping a eye on the measurements on the back of the pole, keep extending and locking in place each section starting from the top section of the pole until you get a level beep, once you are level look at the seam of the last section off pole you where extending and the next section to be expected and the measurement at the seam will be the measurement that you would translate to the front of the grade pole. I hope this helps with the annoying guessing game. P.S. this might be a good pro tip of the day on a future episode lol
I love the flour idea, it’s cheap, it doesn’t matter if it stays there, no chemicals, easy to transport, easy to mark… That’s actually brilliant I guess it doesn’t stay there after a rain though does it?
Don't forget to make sure roots are not on fire! I love watching men work! {and play🙂} Great painting Jay🙂. Jamie gets all that pretty wood to make something. I'd be afraid that steep of a plot will eventually go sliding down the mountain.
For as wet and steep as that lot is, that driveway should been done differently. I would have graded it down, put a layer of road fabric on followed with some railroad ballast then 5/8". That would have given you a nice stable driveway that you could drive a semi truck on.
I've seen you guys build on the side of a mountain before but every mountain lot is different. I suspect you could keep filming builds for a couple more decades and there would still be something new to learn from each build series.
Back in 1995 the boat company I was working for tried out some really cool laser Teck. They pointed the laser at a small mirror ball at the end of a stick. The laser tracked the mirror as it was moved across the hull, and we were able to build a model of the boat in the computer to show deviations from design within 1 mm and make adjustments with some Bondo. The boat was 60 feet long. I am pretty sure it was some guys from MIT. Sadly, the boat broke in half during a race (Americas Cup 95) because a member of the crew tried to fix something that he was totally unqualified to do. It is always hard to get good help.
1:05 Brought me back to me going to a site to load a skid steer onto a trailer... did exactly what you said: Park on incline, go to load the equipment, rear end lifts, truck went bye bye and Jack-knifed into the caragana's about 100 yds from where I parked. Of course, I didn't know that I should have just unloaded the skid steer.. instead I panicked, jumped out of the skid steer, and ran after the truck. Good times.
you guys need a "calero". a small bucket with some nail holes at the botom and a long enough stick bolted as a handle. add a handfull of small rocks, the flour and shack it as you walk.
Nice going with the clay soil. My house is built on the south side of a mountain in Wales, the ground is roughly 40 Deg. I am interested to see how things go. Take care and see you next time 🔨🔨🔨🔨🔨

My absolute favorite Jason line... "Get off your wallet bro!"
Definitely going to steal that🤣
Love the mad-dashes at the end. I guess you all couldn't resist. It looks like fun.
Always excited for a new perkins video.
Straight to the big screen for me.
Must not even feel like work. Hanging with your buddies building stuff. And people pay you to do it. ❤🤙
Jamie should film and upload the process of him building the table from the wood that was harvested from the property where you and your crew are filming and uploading building a home.
Awesome to see someone shine a light in land surveying! That’s what I do for a living lol

Crazy foundation. This is going to be a fun one to watch happen.
The work family make this series so wholesome. Love all your videos
Love it! Cool to see you guys whippin that topography's butt.
You guys are the best!
Step footings are a pain. Glad its you 😂. Putting a road in will help with all your deliveries
Thanks guys! I always learn something and I always end up laughing too. This is the perfect balance in what I like to think of as edutainment. I thought I was being like Jamie and coining a new word but as I typed it came up as a suggestion so I guess it’s already in use. Haha.

I was just finishing up my late lunch break and this video popped up... lunch break extended by 20 minutes! Hell yeah! 😅😁
I absolutely love watching your channel I watch the other builds all the time Jamie is so smart Erik is the perfect personality for this and Jason , Arlo , Ray, and Jono what a team I wish I lived near you guys I only seem to watch you and the Essential Craftsman
Thanks Robert!
I agree! What is Jamie’s background? He’s really smart and speaks well, did he go to school for some kind of construction engineering?

Footings on slopes are much more complicated than I thought. Excellent explanation and video.
Great new vids let’s get going. John from Scotland 🏴
That race at the end was epic!

Count me in!

Good work for young men!😊
I'm excited to follow along with this project!
Eric likes that rake because it does nothing. And he does nothing like a pro!
Perkins builder bro’s. Always loook forward to the next upload. At work at the hospital enjoying your guys content here in upstate Batavia New York. Keep up the great work fellas !
Your crew is absolutely 💯. I have about 4 years left until I retire from the military. I'd totally work with the brotherhood yall have.
It’s great that she’s out there helping……
There are times I dont envy you all.. and this is one of them. I can tell this is going to be another epic build.

I am from the South of Brazil. I'm learning a lot from the videos
Very good tip regarding loading up.
Hahaha, nice logs you have taken Jamie. After that shows the work you will do with them. Beautiful equipment to achieve the terrain levels. Greetings.
I'm so glad you're using that lumber for something!
Perfect basement lot.
Seeing the marking paint outline put the slope into perspective for me
I love to watch your videos while working in home office, wishing i could do something more craftman...

Back in the hills again 🙏
Construction surveying! Done that a bunch of times. Same machine but we use Carlson Survey for our Data Collectors.
Thank you for all the videos I really enjoy them. I just ordered a shirt from your store. I really like watching the entire projects from start to finish. Good video boys ! Stay safe
Total station is really cool tech. It's something I want to learn
Plumb Bob? Just get you a hilti laser point and use your rotary. You can do it.. I believe in you guys!!
I do a lot of lurking around here so I figured it's about time I contribute to the algorithm
Wow, this building site is quite different from the last few! Great to tag along on another complete build, guys!

I mean it's called All-Purpose Flour because you can use it for any purpose.
Erik, your such a kill joy…. There’s not much wrong watching a truck do it’s own thing…. Besides it’s Jamie’s 😁🤪
Perkins bros. Are the BOMB!!
I've seen you guys build on the side of a mountain before but every mountain lot is different. I suspect you could keep filming builds for a couple more decades and there would still be something new to learn from each build series.
I don't know about using the all purpose flour. I would have used self-rising flour.
Haha!! That works pretty well too from my experience
We need a review about running the bigger excavator from Eric. He seemed so happy running it
been waiting since yesterday LOL. Good luck guys
Y'all make day especially when I want to watch someone else work 🙄 having good time working 😂 CODES😮 Boy Y'all work FAST at times 😂🎉🎉

Lol, Johno mister laid back, I’m always going a hundred miles an hour! 😂
Always stoked about the new episodes! Let's go!
Another great build. This one should take us in to winter…
Boys being boys. Love it.
you guys need a "calero". a small bucket with some nail holes at the botom and a long enough stick bolted as a handle. add a handfull of small rocks, the flour and shack it as you walk.
The tracks on that Kubota are toast IMHO.
I made guys!! Looking forward to the new build!!
So the construction begins. Y’all make me want to start another house!
Good to see you're being safe. Operating a camera is dangerous, always wear your gloves.
When loading a trailer on a slope you can also put the truck in 4wd, making the parking brake work on both axles
Love the foundation run!
Flour makes a great running (or biking) course marker too. Try it in a bike bottle for really clean lines.
You can also put the truck in 4 wheel drive and make sure it is engaged then when you put it in park it will lock all 4 wheels
You all should check out professional tag. Yall running in the footings reminded me of that
I love watching a new Perkins Builder Brothers episode, but I hate being this early because now I can't binge-watch.
Use cold water when mixing AG1 and let it sit for a couple of minutes before you drink it.
I love watching your videos. I’m always so excited to watch the videos when they come out
thank you 🫡 epic work
Alright definitely using the word Tridangular on the job site tomorrow lmfao thanks Jamie!
Really looking forward to watching you guys build a new housing project. All the best.

Can't wait! This is sooo exciting. It's gonna be glorious like always.
