I was never impressed when Donald was on tv. Even when I was a teenager, I always had a gut feeling he is very evil!
I didn't jump to evil back then but he definitely came off as slimy, arrogant, corrupt and pathetic then. We just had no idea what that persona was hiding in his DNA 😮
I never really paid a single lick of attention to him growing up, lol. He was always just this cultural "thing" that I would hear some people speak about or hear mentioned on TV every now and then as a kid. I'm 36, so I mostly knew him as the guy who made a cameo in Home Alone Two, lol. I was in high school when the apprentice was popular, and to this day, I never watched an episode. He was simply background noise, like many other things you hear of, yet never pay attention to through life. Then he ran for president. It took me one debate to see exactly what the man was and just the type of chaos he could cause if he became president. As time went, it became clearer and clearer that it wasn't just an act he was putting on. If anything, it was going to be worse. Well...fast forward to now, and I could have never in my wildest dreams imagined the kind of insanity we would go through as a nation because of this one man. Lock him up and throw away the key.

I can understand the question as it seems like a last resort, without murder.
Trump supporters have blind faith, and ignore the abundance of primary source material, including recordings, legal depositions and paper work, listening to all the people who have known him to some extent, and the innumerable psychiatrists and psychologists who can see Trump broadcasting his symptoms of malignant narcissism, or even fully paying attention to Trump's words.
Trump supporters finally seeing that Trump is unfit for the Presidency by witnessing a complete psychotic breakdown 'frenzy', does seem the only way for them to understand that Trump is mentally ill in a very dangerous way.
After watching Lawrence's editorial last night about the governing not being televised, I wished more than anything that Mary might have also caught it. He cares about the criminal trials. I don't buy it that it doesn't bother him. Increases his street cred? That's nonsense because I am sure he would rather not be facing these charges. He's going to ask every judge he faces for a dismissal. Increasing his street cred is not going to add more votes. He's in trouble and he knows it and what scares him is that he has no control over what's going to happen.
He has no experience with not having control during his whole life. He has no concept of what it would feel like, so it does not scare him.
He's only occupied with what's right in front of him in the moment. Should he find himself in prison, then he will cope with that in the moment.

The more Trump is prosecuted, the more they believe in his power. To his supporters, Dems must fear Trump so much to make him a political victim and create bogus allegations in an attempt to stop Trump being their savior, against Democratic, and Hollywood evil.
Trump supporters believe that it is Biden who is corrupt, and the more legal woes Trump has, the more evil they believe Biden to be, and the more they identify with Trump who they see as being outrageously mis-treated in the biggest violation of justice. They identify with a two tier system of law, and Trump's legal cases put him more on their level. (Not realising he is getting special treatment).
So, Trump's supporters are more convinced he is a man of the people, and support for him more fervently. That is what Mary was referring to. I have heard her discuss this in other interviews.
I have also heard Mary Trump say that as Donald hasn't gone to prison for other crimes he has committed, and hadn't been held accountable for anything (until recently in the civil cases), and feels he is entitled to do anything, and therefore has done nothing wrong, he doesn't fear prison because he doesn't believe he is going to prison.
But maybe if/ when he loses his appeals for the civil cases, and experiences expensive consequences, the notion that he may have to go to prison might loom larger as a possible reality for D..J. Trump.

When Donald brags about some MIT relative who, according to Donald was "the longest serving MIT professor", Donald having a gifted relative is credible when one listens to Mary Trump. Thank God she got the real family inheritance that the older generation in her family was greatly lacking: scruples.
