The wedge of lime in the opening of the bottle is to keep the flies off. No chance of that happening in monsoon Britain where the flies are learning to do backstroke in order to survive. I love scampi fries so thats me in. As far as the description of the flavour go’s it was probably done by a cola drinker. The one thing Aldi beer has going for me is that its not usually brewed in a big faceless brewery in the midlands, cheers 🍺
Yeah that makes sense, I believe they brewed the Den Velde beer for Aldi which was great value for a 6 pack. They are brewey behind Bavaria which has sadly gone downhill since its reduction to 4.3% in the UK
If you are even in Ipswich, let me know. Would love a beer with you. This guy is the reason I purchased a Sub then Perfect Draft! Great videos Simon 👌🏻
I prefer the Carista to Corona......it isn't huge on flavour, but is refreshing. I find UK Corona unpleasant, sweet, you have to put lime in it to make it drinkable!
Very generous ratings as usual. I don't go for the Mexican style lagers, so i haven't an idea, there. As for the crisps, it must be the flavour coting each that leads to the citric flavour, i think if they say beer flavour, some of us might sense some. These were not the wurst flavour, because much wurst were the Currywurst "flavour" from Lidl..!!!
Corona is in my estimation an American Light Lager. If you look at the BJCP style guidelines for ALL it defines it as ‘nearly flavourless’. So in fairness to Simon I’d say he is judging it to style.
I wasn't keen on these crisps they had a weird almost scampi fry like flavour going on.I actually like Scampi fries but not these crisps. I looked at the back and don't even think any beer was used looking at the ingredients.

Thought it was to sterilise the top when under the cap was rusty
You are the beer monster of Aldi and Lidl mate. Great reviews 👍
More updates on your bunker Simon, this is a very interesting project and very appropriate for current times

I believe it's brewed by Royal Swinkels brewery in the Netherlands..

Tried that Lager a few weeks back
It was pleasant enough, ice cold from the freezer.
Would buy it again
Had them with a slice of Lime

I tried that a few months ago and thought it was very nice and refreshing
Also I do understand what you mean by saying it's boring

Good review. Thanks

Crisps and beer.whats not to like?!
You would never see them crisps in Germany 😂. I live there half the year !
Because in 🇩🇪 they are called Chips...🤔🤣
How can you rate a beer 7/10 if it tastes of nothing!
Refreshment
Cold beer for hot day that is not unpleasant like most UK lagers

It’s brewed in the Netherlands
“Just tastes of wet”. Gives it an enthusiastic 7/10… 😵💫
You deserve credits from both Aldi and Lidl. Without further Aldi-Do, lets crack open a Lidl Lager.
Yes, open a Camaro from LIDL...🤔🤣
You've probably tripled the sales saying these crisps taste like Scampi Fries. I'd destroy a big bag of those.
From the 2000 viewers on this video 😂😂😂 really don’t think Simon has impacted sales..
Ok thought those crisps tasted of fish, chips and mushy peas, not altogether horrible, but nothing like Pilsner!
Savoury Moments have been discontinued for years ! 😢

Drank it in 2008, that's how long it's be doing the rounds in Aldi
Sounds like a ‘lawnmower beer’. Not one I’d buy but I am sure there is worse to be had.
Siema 🙂
If you like cold ,wet ,lager lol..just tastes of wet ha ha
Looks like carona larger
