Yes, because as entertaining as this show can be, it's still cop propaganda at it's core (copaganda, if you will), and it's trying to desensitize and normalize the cruelty and brutality of the police by having it done by the "good guys"
I have to say, self defence makes perfect sense to me. The legal/justice system is unable to protect her. I'm not blaming the system; that's just the way things are. And shooting him in the back was the alternative to letting him walk away to continue his control over her. Just because he wasn't an imminent threat to her at that exact moment doesn't mean he wouldn't be a very real and continual threat to her. Shooting him today means he doesn't control her tomorrow. What other choices did she have?
The fact she 1) didn't call the police immediately after her self-defense shooting, 2) let another person she knew was innocent take the blame and 3) attempted to leave the state without letting the cops know the truth is what turns this from a totally justifiable self-defense argument to murder in the 2nd(?) degree. If she called the cops and was charged and told the jury the truth, she likely would have be found either not-guilty or have an incredibly reduced sentence. Wow😮 I've never seen an episode that trampled on human rights like this one did. Usually, this series focuses on helping the victims.
I love Law and order, most of the CSI shows and The Mentalist series. I've seen a few CSI episodes that really pushed the boundaries of prime time family content but, never have I seen this level of disrespect and victim blaming. Really disgusting and certainly not what any of the fans were expecting.
Hahaha whaaaaaat?
This episode reminds me of the What Would You Do by City High
To think their storylines are based on real cases, yikes!
LOL like adult film sets have robes for the performers
They do when it's legit.
Another reason for Medicare for All (Americans)
ACCURATE portrayal of just how duplicitous and shitty cops are
What episode and season
Man the amount of hollywood actors Who were in Law and Order
I love Olivia Benson
IS THAT ZACK MORRIS???
Yep, the same actor.
Gun powder does wash off right away. Waiting days will be pointless even if you don't wash your hands. Maybe they'd get lucky with unwashed clothes.
Yeah, but *she* doesn't know that. Cops are allowed to lie to convince a suspect to confess. If she believes they already have her dead-to-rights, she's more likely to confess in that moment to hopefully (in her mind) make the cops go easy on her for telling the truth.
I liked Elizabeth Banks in Meet Dave.
Guess Elizabeth won't need all those wigs anymore
Do the people they interview actually ask for a lawyer in the newest season of the other law and order there is a scene where the person should have had a lawyer. Got lied to and tricked into telling what the saw on the video
That's where, "it's tv" comes in. They probably had to do it that way to progress the storyline.
Episode??? Please
Truck killed a pimp 🤷🏻 Who cares?
NHI
Police drama agrees with
Mark Paul Gosselar.
NYPD BLUE and L&O : SVU.
Zaaaaaaack?!?
Pongan los episodios de la ley y el orden UVE en español Gracias
rachel from the uninvited playing a bad girl again
Idk Wren Eleanor came to mind 💔💔💔 Not an adult but that child trapped 💔
saved by the bell?
I really wish we didnt have to invoke our rights to use them. Then again, when you do, youre accused of having something to hide.
This is pitch perfect acting from Elizabeth banks
"What would you do if your son was at home, crying all alone on the bedroom floor cuz he's hungry, and the only way to feed him is to sleep with a man for a little bit of money? And his daddy's gone..."
Why did they have the entire family who was estranged in the same PUBLIC area?
I miss the old Law& Order. SVU is a mockery of policing, I genuinely feel Axe Cop does a better job at showing police life than SVU.
lucy was crazy
I really pity the girl 😢
Zack Morris
Shame on these cops. Glad this is fiction.
Hopefully!
Absolutely the worst police work ever. Just totally horrible.
Saved by the Bell zackary
Im confused. Wasnt her husband graped and shot? So who shot him?? Who graped him and why!? Yh she was gonna let her husband take the fall for a murder she committed? Who did she murder? Her pimp sounds like but was he the body at the beginning? Im so confused!! We started of with dealing with the crime commited against her gusband!? Did they solve it, cause all a saw was a detour into harrassing a witness and possible victim into admitting guilt to something/anything until they finally found out she was the likely culprit for a murder!
And yet here I sit wondering why this man was gang graped and if they cause the people who did it! Since they have the dna!?
We should get legal eagle to react to this
Hha what’s all the hating? Haha I thought the detectives did a great job 👏🏾
Its just a fiction show.
Please stop forcing actors to do accents…it’s really bad.
gun shot residue doesnt last that long lol
Yeah it does
@@jonah.donohue it does not. Im a forensic scientist lol
i think they were trying to get her to talk
She is not innocent in this. Just saying.
It's not that simple.
just because she’s not innocent doesn’t mean she’s not a victim
@@RhaegarTargaryen1st For this specific incident, it is that simple. Yes, she was forced to make X vids by Cal, and her & her husband's lives were both threatened by Cal, so shooting him can be argued as self-defense. She loses the "innocent" moniker, however, when she was going to let her husband take the fall and gave away her daughter to her in-laws so she could make money in Vegas to pay off her debts. She didn't kill Cal for her family, she killed Cal for herself.
@@KomoliRihyohThanks for articulating that for me. I appreciate it.
heartless detectives
Like It
The fact that she has a tendency to open her mouth about the industry without knowing what she's talking about makes me question her skills in the film industry.
ew
I just feel bad for the husband and daughter had a selfish person like that in their lives. She lets him take the fall to use as an opportunity to escape from her responsibilities. She deserves to serve the maximum for her crimes.

The good old days, when kids were protected from overtly sexual environments instead of it being pushed on them in schools
Don't even start with this bullshit
@@flamiaminu5536freedom of speech is a thing 😂

literally nobody is "pushing overtly sexual environments on kids in schools," you absolute space slice.
When will people realize this was literally just produced as propaganda
No. This happens more often than you think. A lot of svu episodes are inspired by/based on actual events. Sometimes this is even how child traffic ing happens or starts.
a "trapped adult film star"????? pls they should get treated bad
Zach Morris is trash.
