We know that not all of you are lucky enough to live in 🇮🇪 Ireland and have access to Irish musicians to learn from, so we’ve created “Irish Pub Sessions”. This is where we’ll post any sessions we’ve recorded for your enjoyment and learning.
In our first session, we have a band called MegaTrad which features OAIM tutor Cillian Ó’Dálaigh, his brother Sean and their friend Denis McAuliffe. This session was recorded in the famous Gus O’Connor Pub in Doolin for our St Patrick’s Day 2022 Livestream on RUclips, which was hugely popular and is now only available to subscribers of OAIM.
In this O’Connor’s Session MegaTrad play the tunes from our first ever 50 tune challenge (2020/21) and the best part is you get to learn what tunes from the 50 tunes are good to play together in a set. So sit back relax and enjoy the music, or take out an instrument and play along (remember you can change the playback speed).
We’ve divided the sets up for you to make it easier to learn, PLUS as an added bonus we’ve also uploaded the entire ‘livestream’ session as one video so that you can just watch and enjoy the craic and banter between the lads as they give us a full-on Paddy’s Day performance.

My certified Irish teacher taught me Doolin style playing and she studied in Clare .I am from Canada .I have been playing Irish since 2017.love it .but hard to find people who play it properly! 😭❤️. I have never been to Ireland . Of course it is my dream to visit one day ! Keep up with the beautiful music ❤️.love from Canada !
