Making a Stick Bait / can you catch with Handmade Lure?

In this video, I show you how I made a stick bait, which is a type of lure, and how I fished with it. A stick bait is a rod-shaped lure that floats on the water surface and makes ripples or splashes by the rod action to attract fish. I didn’t catch any fish this time, but please enjoy the atmosphere anyway.

Hi, Kenneth. As a longtime subscriber and follower, I have thanked and complimented you before. But, I just want to let you know-again-that your time-proven methods produce VERY nice baits, of all types. I never tire of watching you work.
As a lure-maker myself, I do have one suggestion. If it strikes you as a dumb one, then obviously you can just ignore it:
Whenever I mix small batches of epoxy, I do it pretty much the same way you do-with one significant difference: I first put down a strip of heavy-duty packing tape (duct tape will also work) before I take Parts 1 and two from their respective containers and mix them. The tape prevents ANY of the chemicals in the resin and hardener from being absorbed by the cardboard. or whatever I'm using as my mixing surface. This idea isn't mine. It's the recommendation resin/glue manufacturers such as WEST System Composites.

The paint is made of lacquer. The clear liquid is resin.

Envirotex Lite is a fantastic epoxy for wooden lures..
