best podcast ever. qaiser bhai addressed question very intellectually. my personal view is that when podcast is related to Deen ki baat, & serious issues etc then podcast should always be long than 1+ hour because there's so much to discuss but it's missed out because of tight time frame.

Agree. The show can be more structured, and the host needs to come more prepared rather than throwing random questions without concluding one topic and jumping to another one. Mr. Qaiser has shown a lot of patience, spending 4+ hrs without a proper plan and direction is an opportunity wasted. I think people will still bear and listen in this case because the guest's credentials are remarkable, and they don't want to miss it. The host can learn a thing or two from fellow podcasters like Muzzamil. NS sounds more like an unemployed youth who is whining about everything that is going wrong around him. He needs to substantiate his points with data.

Pakistan and Muslims kill atheists, so they need to be careful. All this tight rope walk on Islam is useless if people’s nature has been turned and tuned for centuries to be violent and intolerant, it will take at least a century only if concerted effort is made. Otherwise all this podcast is just useless.

Except for Mathematics there is NO PROOF in any other branch of SCIENCE! All other Sciences like Physics, Biology get their evidence of being correct or 'proof' from experiements!
For Evolution there are tons of fossil records, we can see it happening in labs for smaller organism like Bacterias, Viruses etc. We cant see it for big animals(aka multicelluars) since timescale for that would be experiments is huge!
So Evolution does NOT have mathematical proof per say...but the chances of its truth are way higher than some fairy tell of any religion.
Folks read en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falsifiability ... it is cornerstone of how science progresses....it subjects itself to be disproven rigorously...only if theory still proves to be true...then only it becomes part of science and still if tomorrow another experiement proves that it is no more valid ... it happily changes/corrects itself

QaiserAhmedRaja is a decent orator, when this is combined with low balled questions from Naeem it gives perception of a great interview.
However when you just dig in to responses of Qaiser, the shallowness of this discussion becomes evident. Mr. Qaiser is playing to the masses by justifying all the things that need reform in the Muslim world. These kind of people are the real barriers to growth and development of ummah as they hinder the ummah from even realizing that grave mistakes have been made; mistakes that need immediate rectification for the betterment of the ummah.
Muslim ummah needs intellectuals who can elucidate mistakes that have been made in the last 1400 years, and help reform our interpretation of Islam to ensure that ummah moves forward. However, people like QaiserAhmedRaja strive to keep people in the dark, by whitewashing all the issues that ummah desperately needs to confront.
For example (illustrative only; this list is nowhere near completion):
1. Qaiser: "All armies that are guarding borders of Muslim countries are doing jihad."; My question: does this mean that Pak army was doing jihad when they were committing mass rapes and genocide in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) in 1971? Further, what Turkish army is doing to Kurds or what Saudi army is doing in Yemen/Dafur is also jihad?
2. Qaiser: "Islamic state / shariat is answer to all our problems"; My question: what is an Islamic State? How do you define it? What interpretation of Islam will govern this Islamic State? I have seen three Islamic / Shariat states rise up in my life - Afganistan (Taliban), ISIS, and Iraq. I would not want myself or my family to live in any of them? And If Qaiser sahab answers truthfully, I am sure he too will not want himself / his family to live in any of them. If Mr. Qauser really wants to live in a Sharia state, then I am sure there is nothing stopping him from moving to Kabul.
3.Qaiser: "Democracy - if most people want Pak to be a Sharia State, Pak should be a Sharia state"; Me - So if most people vote to kill all non-Muslims, then shall we make a law and execute all non-Muslims? - this seems very "Nuremberg law'ish" / "Final Soultion'ish" to me. (I am not even getting started on your opinion of blasphemy law)
4. Qaiser: "India is the aggressor, wants to destroy Pakistan"; Me: please don't shy away from the truth. Of the four wars that Pak-India fought, three were started by Pak (47, 65, 99); India entered 71 war in response to genocide of Bangladeshi people by Pak army.
5. Qaiser: beautifully sidestepping the questions of why Israel is successful and muslims are not -> Me: bravo sir bravo
6. Qaiser: "Madrasas provide refuge to poor kids, their abuse of children is just a by-product - this also happens in the Corporate sector btw"; Me: corporate sector is not representing Islam, Madrasa's do, so this comparison is just wrong. Further, most Madrasas have become "chanda" centers for feeding mullah's at the expense of poor children, this needs to stop.
7. Qaiser: "Liberalism is categorically bad". But when asked about feminism - "Let's define feminism"; -> Me: once again, bravo sir brave, what a way to smooth talk your way out of a tough question
8. Qaiser: "Have more kids, there is no shortage of resources" - Me: yes there is, just ask hungry kids in Africa
9. Qaiser: A bunch of half-truths about Arab-Israel war + America has lost 4 out of 5 wars; Me: come on man...at-least accept the truth that Israel defeated Arabs in three full fledged wars and countless low intensity conflicts - do note that acceptance of mistakes is the first step towards correcting them. Let's not talk about American wars, it will digress the discussion.
10. Qaiser: "Aurat march people should file a defamation against ILGA; however if I just say I dissociate myself from ISIS, that would suffice"; Me: hypocrisy at its finest.
11.Qaiser: "Some stuff about women serving as air hostess, and how bad this is"; Me: there is something called dignity of labor + if someone wants to be an air hostess, then who are you to question their choice.
12.Qaiser: "Printing press was not really banned in Muslim world...this is just mis-interpretation of fatwa"; Me: really? So why did the first printing press was established in Muslim world 250 years after the same happened in Europe? No matter how you slice / dice it printing press was banned in muslim world for 250+ years because fatwa from our ulema...there is no escaping this fact.
