Count Dooku did legit want to eliminate the corruption of the Senate and help the people of the Republic. Sidious lied to him trying to make him believe he had the same outlook, which wasn't true. Sidious (Palpatine) just wanted power and control, but once Dooku started down the Dark side it turned him more and more corrupt which based on his original motivation is actually quite ironic. Really great discussion about everything. ANAKIN is So powerful, Palpatine needs to keep him off balance all the time by appealing to his emotions, he's already in horrible pain all the time, feeling guilt and shame and his world view is approaching that of Palpatine. Anakin has never known a functioning democracy that was not under the control of Palpatine.
The young Jedi who attacks the Storm Trooper after Anakin's attack in the Jedi Temple is played by George Lukas' son. Also, George Lukas himself plays a guy in the foyer of the bubble theater where Palpatine tells Anakin about Darth Plaegious.
I hope that was clarified during their viewing. It's been a few months since Anakin and Padme have seen each other but it's been 3-3 1/2 years since Episode II.
2 pivotal things that should be reminded of from Episode 1 TFM 1. You guys talked about the music. The main theme of TFM is Duel of the Fates. The ending battle between Darth Maul and Qui Gon was to determine Anakin's fate. Based on "the prophecy" whomever won the duel would dictate how Anakins life will be impacted. Had Qui Gon defeated Maul, he'd be trained by him and raised more properly. However, Maul defeated him and Obi Wan inherited the responsibility of looking after Anakin, which is the worst of the two outcomes. Therefore leading Anakin down the alternate, bad path. DUEL OF THE FATES: Anakin's fate 2. At the end of TFM, Palps mentioned watching Anakins career with great interest. (Foreshadow) That was the first hint of his intentions. It ties into the fact that Anakin (space Jesus) was born from "you know who" Palps have always been in the background pulling the strings waiting to get close to Anakin once he came to age. It further solidifies he actually did create life... From the story he told Anakin in Episode 3. He planted the dreams into his mind, and lied about saving a person from death. He knew how to create life already. As you guys mentioned, it's too many layers. I could go on and on. Last thing I'll say is for a first time viewer I can understand why Anakin's turn to the dark side seem rushed. One thing to take into consideration is how the story built up him and Palps relationship. He did what he said, which is watch Anakin's career with great interest (The foreshadowing) from TFM. The turn to the darkside wasn't as fast as we may have thought. Palps befriended Anakin real early and was manipulating him. Between the dreams and persuasion, Anakins main goal of saving Padme was an easy choice. And he was willing to do whatever it took, including going to the darkside. So basically, it wasn't a sudden thing... It was him turning anyway. He just needed a final push to do so. Like a ticking time bomb.
Appreciate the insight. I know for Igli that TCW would be the bridge he’d need to see all of the development. Us long term fans know exactly when and where the strings were pulled but we can’t just give that away to guys like Igli without spoiling one of the greatest shows ever made - Blake
This is my fav movie of all time too but don't forget Howard Shore with LOTR in that short list of great film composers! (I know you mentioned lotr, but you didn't mention Howard Shore)
He needed to gain dark side power FAST so he could be strong enough to save padme. In order to gain dark side power you have to commit acts that push you further into negative emotions
In the novel Dark Lords of the Sith (which i believe is legacy nowadays) they reveal that Plaguis does attempt to create a Sifh Chosen One, the Sith'ari, by manipulating the midichlorians, but he feels the Force itself resisting his efforts and believes he's failed. This does coincide with Anakin's conception, but Anakin is conceived by the Force in opposition to what Plaguis is attempting to do. In any case, Palpatine had already decided that he himself was the Sith'ari and sets in motion his plans to kill Plaguis, which he does just prior to (or off-screen during) Phantom Menace. A Sith apprentice taking a secret apprentice of their own is quite common as they prepare to kill their master (as we seen in the Clone Wars cartoon). Just as it's common for their master to groom replacement apprentices when they find someone stronger than the one they have already.
Because in the comics Mace used an illegal force move on Grevious just like force lighting, he used Darth Vader's move force choke both of which are dark side moves.
@@jasonrandom372 Mace did that to Grievous?! That's crazy........ He always came off a stickler for the rules.... Thanks for the clarification buddy...👍

If you listen closely anakins heartbeat stops just before the mask is put on. And as padme dies at the same time anakins heart starts up again. Then palpatine somehow knows she was dead??. Palps used the power to save life on VADER by stealing padmes life force and giving it to Vader to save him.
anakin DID bring balance to the force. there was thousands of jedi and at most 5 sith at any given time. post anakin, there was about 4 jedi and 2 sith at any given time and a 20 year reign of believed peace.
Idk in the subtitles when his mouth opens it only states that he gasps. However him saying at the end “she was alive I felt it” has now brain fucked me bc I never saw it like that, I only saw it as he knew she was alive after he choked her. the reason why general grievous is coughing is because he used to be human but sometime during the clone wars i am pretty sure it wasnt in the tv series but his heart was damaged by either Mace Windu or Obi-Wan Kenobi so that is why he is coughing please let me know what you think
Here's my take on the situation: Sheev Palpatine aka Darth Sidious had killed his master, because Lord Plagueis would not provide his apprentice with the knowledge he sought on how to use The Dark Side of The Force to prolong lifespan of others, or rather in Palpatine's case his own. Sensing Anakin's immense raw power, he believed that young Skywalker would serve as an adequate replacement for the master he murdered. Darth Maul and Count Dooku (Darth Tyranus), were just merely puppets. After the death of Mace Windu, when he says to Anakin... "To cheat death, is a path only one has achieved. But if we work together, I know we can discover the secret." ...it basically reveals that even Palpatine doesn't have the immediate solution that Anakin seeks. Nevertheless blinded by his own desperation and lust for power, Anakin was more than willing to pledge himself to the Chancellor's cause.
In those scenes, he’s actually looking through Vader’s breath mask. That was because of the size difference between Hayden and David Prowse (the actor who physically played Vader in the original trilogy.)
The lack of enthusiasm for Ep 1, imo, is due to watching in chronological order. The original trilogy gets u immersed in the world n subsequently a peaked interest into how all this got started (ie sequel trilogy). Basically, release order is better. lol
No. Sorry The best Stars Wars movie is Empire Strikes Back (and no it is not my favorite. That place belongs to Return of the Jedi.) This is the best of the prequels, but it is still MILES AWAY FROM ANY OF THE OT
No no no Blake no, in actually fairness I agreed with ugli I also thought that Padme and queen amadala were 2 different women (characters) so if your saying that igli can’t have watched the movies properly Blake then that must mean the same for me because I thought same as igli thought Natalie Portman was playing 2 different characters, I did actually watch all 3 prequels and still missed it somehow
I wish Corey would speak more. Come on boy, speak up, I'm sure you have more to say. Usually the quiet ones are more intelligent and so that's why I wanna hear ya!
Umm yeah Palpatine isn't Anakins father and didn't create him. George lucas put a stop to that theory. It's not canon. Anakin was created by the force itself to counter the imbalance and because Plagueis and Palpatine were meddling with the force to make the dark side stronger. So the force itself created Anakin to basically put a stop to them. That's why Plagueis is terrified of Anakin after finding out about him. It's all in the Plagueis novel. Other than that misconception this video was entertaining
I couldn’t wait to see this again and see all your reactions. Lived up to the hype! It’s an amazing movie 🍿. Can’t wait for the next one . Thanks gentlemen. 🖤🤍❤️🔥🔥🌘🙂
Well if see the Clone Wars everyone except Anakin Knew that Yoda and Obi Wan and The Council knew Padme and Anakin were together and I know very well Yoda had an idea all along
Only obi wan knew bro, if all the others knew then they would’ve banished him from the order, obi wan just cared too much for anakin to tell the others so kept silence. In the ROTS novel he even says to Padme that he kept quiet bc even at his lowest Padme was the only one to make anakin smile and happy.
@@sirmalak Yoda i dont think really cares so if he knew its not like he would mention it. They say he cannot see the force but I think he seen Anakin having children as part of unsure about his training.
When you kill another Jedi its over for you and you be hunted down as an enemy if the Emperor had died course right then and there. If he didn't like Phantom Menace he wasn't going to grasp things set up in that movie and I notice people just dont pay attention to things anymore
About Anakin going extreme, Palpatine did tell him to show no mercy to be strong enough with the Dark Side to save Padme. His immediate desperation to serve Palpatine and then killing the Jedi, reach a breaking point once he reached the Separatists. He's snapped as he's killing them, then blank and consumed by the darkness once he's finished. And the aftermath shows with how manic Anakin is once Padme shows up.
Also he was put into a war at the age of 19. No wonder that hate was there, he was in the presence of the people he believed started the war along with dooku.
In his arrogance Anakin tried pulling the same move Obi-Wan did to end Maul. But he never stopped to consider that Obi-Wan knew how to pull off the move he also knew how to counter it.
28:10 “My wife, actually” is 10000000% my favorite Igli quote of all time why is that so golden. The thought of anakin just randomly wifedropping to yoda in a 1 on 1 conversation🤣

21:32 RIGHT??? RIGHT???? no enough people talk about the ships BROADSIDEING and dueling in friggn SPACE
Blake was looking for Ashoka
“The best star wars film… yea come at me”
Episode III is 3 years later than Episode II
I hope that was clarified during their viewing. It's been a few months since Anakin and Padme have seen each other but it's been 3-3 1/2 years since Episode II.
Vader means Father in Dutch, I believe.
"Thats a weird name thatll never stick."
Becomes the most popular villain name in history
2 pivotal things that should be reminded of from Episode 1 TFM
DUEL OF THE FATES: Anakin's fate
I mean to be fair, like several years ago before I watched the prequels I thought Anakin and Luke were the same character lol
This movie is absolutely amazing and sad. So many terrible things happened in this movie
I love the complete nerd calling out all the ship classes during the battle!
@10:21 HARD AGREE, and that’s even compared to other Star Wars and the other prequels. John Williams went OFF.
they claim 3 y between movies, but it is more lik7-10 consider her growth in the tv show, also 7 seasons
Darth Maul: Because he mauls his opponents in battle with rage
Darth Tyranus: Tyranus is a play off of him being a Tyrant
Darth Vader: Invader
Battlefront 2 vibes... The oldschool one, I`d play in cyber cafes back in the day lmao
Second best Star Wars film!!! But yes. Believe the hype. This one is terrific.
You don’t know the power of the Dark Side
I agree with igli, I felt some stuff did not stick either and missed the fact that amadala and padme were in fact same woman I’m with igli on this
Blake is such a gorgeous man.
General Grievous was sick because its said that Mace Windu hit him super hard with a force push at some point in the series.....Great reaction gang
@@MI-hz1cpMace was a stickler for rules specifically because he understood his own affinity for the darkside.
@@fraydizs7302 I can relate.......
I’ve never seen wyatt before I’m used to cojo in that place but hi wyatt nice to meet you on this channel ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I literally cheered when u started the video by saying this is the best SW movie because I’ve been saying that ever since. Ppl just need to remove their rose colored glasses to see this 🙂↔️.
If you listen closely anakins heartbeat stops just before the mask is put on. And as padme dies at the same time anakins heart starts up again. Then palpatine somehow knows she was dead??. Palps used the power to save life on VADER by stealing padmes life force and giving it to Vader to save him.
can you share the background wallpaper pls ♥♥♥

You shouldn’t get any hate!
This IS THE BEST Star Wars movie out of any! Tv series included (obviously)
Most definitely
Yes, it was Tarkin
anakin DID bring balance to the force. there was thousands of jedi and at most 5 sith at any given time. post anakin, there was about 4 jedi and 2 sith at any given time and a 20 year reign of believed peace.
* as the helmet closes *
Anakin: "...padme... help me..."
Padme: "There's good in him... I know..."
Vader: "She was alive! I felt it!"
Idk in the subtitles when his mouth opens it only states that he gasps. However him saying at the end “she was alive I felt it” has now brain fucked me bc I never saw it like that, I only saw it as he knew she was alive after he choked her. I forgot force users can reach out into force. That’s a nice touch bro icl
@@sirmalak it wasn’t originally subtitled at all, but he does say “Padme help me…” it’s so quiet though but some headphones can pick up on it.
@@chazo1367 I get wym but if that’s how the scene was supposed to play out why didn’t they include it with actual words. It may not have been originally sub titled but I think it’s a reach. I still hear gasps, no “Padme help me” and so do many others who commented on the video. Imo I think he’s getting one last proper breath before he’s entombed into his suit.
@@sirmalak it’s literally him saying it. Lucas put it in and didn’t draw attention to it. Lucas always did weird things.
@@chazo1367 bro all I’m saying is if that’s how they were gonna originally make the scene, they would’ve made it more obvious even if they didn’t go down that route with even his lips mouthing it out, or again they would have just re did the scene but they didn’t they kept him gasping. Even considering the helmet is put on before u can see any lip movement. It’s a gasp for air, and I’m even hearing the gasp with Headphones when u told me previously with them I’d be able to hear it 😂
Zlatan's multiverse
Bro padme amidala 😂but the costumes and makeup were literally perfect there is not many flaws with this film plus i am a huge lightsaber guy so it made it perfect
the reason why general grievous is coughing is because he used to be human but sometime during the clone wars i am pretty sure it wasnt in the tv series but his heart was damaged by either Mace Windu or Obi-Wan Kenobi so that is why he is coughing please let me know what you think
Vader literally translates to hunter.
With his time as Anakin over, Hayden specifically requested that he be the one to wear the Vader suit in those final two scenes.
He deserved better man! - Blake
@@RaggedyPack And Lucas gave him the approval to wear it, so both those Vader scenes are Hayden in the suit.
In those scenes, he’s actually looking through Vader’s breath mask. That was because of the size difference between Hayden and David Prowse (the actor who physically played Vader in the original trilogy.)
Darth sidious new recruit is anakin he wants to turn him evil bad
The greatest Star Wars movie of all time
No that would be the original 3 classic movies I grew up with last 50 years
Blake is correct, people wanna hate just to hate, this is BY FAR the best movie in the SW universe
PREACH - Blake
The lack of enthusiasm for Ep 1, imo, is due to watching in chronological order. The original trilogy gets u immersed in the world n subsequently a peaked interest into how all this got started (ie sequel trilogy).
Basically, release order is better. lol
Anakin is 23 in this movie
Guys WHERES COJO
Anakin disappointed me so bad in this movie but it was my favorite.
An Excellent journey...✌️❤️
41:11 You couldn't have been more wrong
No. Sorry The best Stars Wars movie is Empire Strikes Back (and no it is not my favorite. That place belongs to Return of the Jedi.) This is the best of the prequels, but it is still MILES AWAY FROM ANY OF THE OT
I really heard that this is the best movie of all time? ...damned, I guess I took more drugs that I can handle to hear something like that.
I think you guys need to rewatch it because I disagree with everything you guys hate about the movie.
Wonder what he’s going to name the kids. Nope just her
Blake is the best!
I agree! - Blake
@@RaggedyPack Can't wait for ep lV & Last Jedi
Igli be like..... wait.... Queen Amidala is Padme ?!?!?!?!
We love him
No no no Blake no, in actually fairness I agreed with ugli I also thought that Padme and queen amadala were 2 different women (characters) so if your saying that igli can’t have watched the movies properly Blake then that must mean the same for me because I thought same as igli thought Natalie Portman was playing 2 different characters, I did actually watch all 3 prequels and still missed it somehow
I wish Corey would speak more. Come on boy, speak up, I'm sure you have more to say. Usually the quiet ones are more intelligent and so that's why I wanna hear ya!
49:17 Who’s this kid? George Lucas’ son.
Padme saying he wouldn't do that...she was told in the last film what he's capable of and she still married him.
To be fair, women are like that xd
Sheeeesh both Wyatt and Blake in 1 video?? Hunky hot dude overload 🥵
They both probably have girlfriends don’t be so creepy and trampy, and there straight into girls what are you a dude
I don’t believe that none of these guys have seen this movie….
You’re not going to believe this
Umm yeah Palpatine isn't Anakins father and didn't create him.
This is my favorite movie too
"-then the next trilogy, not the new trilogy, that one sucks."
Based.
the 2nd dude at left was annoying
All the star war movies other than the origjnal trilogy are straight garbage.
I couldn’t wait to see this again and see all your reactions. Lived up to the hype! It’s an amazing movie 🍿. Can’t wait for the next one . Thanks gentlemen. 🖤🤍❤️🔥🔥🌘🙂
Dude with the receding hairline talks to much just watch the movie!!!
I like how Anakin was so unstable, he didn't catch Palpatine slip that he didn't know how to save Padme.
I’m sure he did, but kept that info private, to use for himself.
@@ncard00 He didn't.
Sure he did, but what could he do, though? Oops, my bad, there's nothing to me here with you, lemme switch back to the Jedi?
@@willfanofmanyii3751 he did, in the novelization it says Anakin knew Palpatine lied, but was already too late to turn back
She gonna die anyway. Might as well be extremely powerful.
I love how the immediate discussion after watching the movie was about Padme and Amidala being the same character
