@@RaggedyPackAnakin's descent into darkness was well portrayed.
Because some Jedi never completely loved him, didn't respect him, didn't trust him, didn't take him seriously and even despised him.
As a child before Obi-Wan started teaching him, he was hated and psychologically bullied by other children "Anakin is a slave to his feelings" and that was only because of envy because he was much more gifted and skilled than them.
      .
      .
.And many other things and sufferings he and his padawan, Ashoka Tano, the Jedi like to cause.
Yoda during the Clone Wars, he met the spirit of Darth Bane in Sitt's tomb, which is created by the rule of two.
And later in his visions he saw Anakin becoming Darth Vader and didn't do anything about it because I thought it wasn't worth it.
Anakin was a slave all his life - Tatuine, Jedi, Love, Dark Side.
He became a father figure to Qui-gon Jinn, during his stay in the temple he was psychologically bullied and called by others "Anakin slaves to his own feelings", he lost his mother, the Jedi never married him all the time and without proper evidence he accused Ashoka and caused her to leave and finally he was afraid of losing Padmé.
The only and worst support given the events was Palpatine who was a fatherly substitute for Anakin from the beginning.
When he used Mace Windu's hand and after killing the Jedi he was already in the dark as the dark side itself showed him to the planet Mortis The One Son.
On Mustafar, Padme almost got him from the dark side, but Obi-Wan discovered him and screwed it up.
Anakin "Vader" built his castle on Mustafar and thanks to the two sbosobs he tried to revive Padmé but he could not see it due to the fact that Luke and Leya were already born, they were the only ones preventing it with their existence.
Too bad he didn't find "Word between Wolrds" on the planet Lothal. He would create an alternate Reality or go through all of history. ;)
      .
      .
      .
You have to find out about the lost 20 Jedi like Count Dooku, about the fates of Jedi with the ability to see the future, young apprentices who were not taken by any Jedi masters to learn, who showed little talent for the force and were not shown to the temple which in some cases was quite drastic, . ..
Blinded by ego, aronance, pride, absolute help to people and not following the path of forces.
Honor to the exceptions and one of the true Jedi was Master Fey.
The Jedi and the Fallen Jedi (Sith) have betrayed the memory and message of their common ancestors of the Je'daii Order by their actions and the endless battles of their Civil War. 😊
May the force be with you.
And may you lead the force. 🖐️

  • @jaernihiltheus7817

Lore tidbit for the amidala thing:
Padme's birthname is padme nabierre. When you're elected queen of naboo, you're given a new "royal" surname, which in padme's case was amidala - her successor in attack of the clones was queen jamillia, but it's not clear whether or not that's her royal surname or her first name.
This surname thing happens around the same time you get body doubles, and you & your body doubles are trained to use the kind of robotic queen accent & posture while in queen mode.

Gotta say, every single detail I learn about the monarchy of Naboo makes me want, like, either a book (if there are books that go into detail beyond the novelizations I need to get them) or a comic or a show or something just set in Naboo. Maybe a "Tales of the Jedi"-type show but focusing on Padme's reign as queen or something. It's already incredibly unique that it's a DEMOCRATIC ABSOLUTE MONARCHY like that's crazy, but then with all the body doubles and new names and everything, it's such a wonderfully fresh take on the concept of monarchy that a lot of sci-fi/fantasy doesn't really have

    • @jaernihiltheus7817
      @jaernihiltheus7817 9 месяцев назад +2

@@dwell7315 yeah, according to episode 2 they even tried to amend the constitution to let padme rule indefinitely (or at least longer), but she refused to do so as she felt she served her time well and she didn't think it'd be right to extend her rule (this is in direct contrast to palpatine who used emergency powers to extend his chancellorship, since their characters are supposed to be dramatic parallels - the angel and the devil of republic politics).
But anyways, yeah - naboo is incredibly interesting and fleshed out and its ashame more people don't really seem to be invested in it. It's by far the most fleshed out planet from the movies alone.
EDIT: Oh, and the handmaidens/body doubles also seem to get renamed upon selection. All of padme's handmaidens have similar names as her. I don't remember all of their names (you can look them up if you want), BUT the one that blow up at the start of episode 2 is called "Sade", and i believe she's also the one that padme switches with a lot in episode 1.

Anakin's dreams were his own, as Palpatine had no idea about the Pregnancy. Anakin's mind was only on the what, not the how and when, so Palpatine couldn't sense the specifics.
Padme always wore large dresses, so she kept it secret easily... until she only had her nightgown on when Obi-Wan arrived.

Count Dooku did legit want to eliminate the corruption of the Senate and help the people of the Republic. Sidious lied to him trying to make him believe he had the same outlook, which wasn't true. Sidious (Palpatine) just wanted power and control, but once Dooku started down the Dark side it turned him more and more corrupt which based on his original motivation is actually quite ironic. But Dooku never actually did FULLY become a Sith Lord. Anakin embraced the Dark side WAY more than Dooku ever did

My interpretation of Anakin suddenly switching to complete evil is that he let the darkside fully consume him. He was like the quiet kid in school who got bullied and let his emotions all build up until he finally snapped. So when Anakin went on a killing spree he was using his fear, hate, anger, etc. which is what Count Dooku said he didn't use, but should, earlier in the film. Once someone gives into the darkside, it takes control and makes you do things you probably don't agree with. Those are my thoughts on it at least. Love the reactions and discussions!

And then Luke seemed to have the power to not let the dark side get to him. I dont know what was different, perhaps a more shielded upbringing. Even though Owen didnt let him do what he wanted, he gave him perhaps a more secured environment to grow up in. 2 pivotal things that should be reminded of from Episode 1 TFM
    1. You guys talked about the music. The main theme of TFM is Duel of the Fates. The ending battle between Darth Maul and Qui Gon was to determine Anakin's fate. Based on "the prophecy" whomever won the duel would dictate how Anakins life will be impacted. Had Qui Gon defeated Maul, he'd be trained by him and raised more properly. However, Maul defeated him and Obi Wan inherited the responsibility of looking after Anakin, which is the worst of the two outcomes. Therefore leading Anakin down the alternate, bad path.
DUEL OF THE FATES: Anakin's fate
    2. At the end of TFM, Palps mentioned watching Anakins career with great interest. (Foreshadow) That was the first hint of his intentions. It ties into the fact that Anakin (space Jesus) was born from "you know who" Palps have always been in the background pulling the strings waiting to get close to Anakin once he came to age. It further solidifies he actually did create life... From the story he told Anakin in Episode 3. He planted the dreams into his mind, and lied about saving a person from death. He knew how to create life already.
As you guys mentioned, it's too many layers. I could go on and on. Last thing I'll say is for a first time viewer I can understand why Anakin's turn to the dark side seem rushed. One thing to take into consideration is how the story built up him and Palps relationship. He did what he said, which is watch Anakin's career with great interest (The foreshadowing) from TFM. The turn to the darkside wasn't as fast as we may have thought. Palps befriended Anakin real early and was manipulating him. Between the dreams and persuasion, Anakins main goal of saving Padme was an easy choice. And he was willing to do whatever it took, including going to the darkside. So basically, it wasn't a sudden thing... It was him turning anyway. He just needed a final push to do so. Like a ticking time bomb.

In the novel Dark Lords of the Sith (which i believe is legacy nowadays) they reveal that Plaguis does attempt to create a Sifh Chosen One, the Sith'ari, by manipulating the midichlorians, but he feels the Force itself resisting his efforts and believes he's failed.
This does coincide with Anakin's conception, but Anakin is conceived by the Force in opposition to what Plaguis is attempting to do.
In any case, Palpatine had already decided that he himself was the Sith'ari and sets in motion his plans to kill Plaguis, which he does just prior to (or off-screen during) Phantom Menace. A Sith apprentice taking a secret apprentice of their own is quite common as they prepare to kill their master (as we seen in the Clone Wars cartoon). Just as it's common for their master to groom replacement apprentices when they find someone stronger than the one they have already.

However him saying at the end “she was alive I felt it” has now brain fucked me bc I never saw it like that, I only saw it as he knew she was alive after he choked her. I forgot force users can reach out into force. That’s a nice touch bro icl

Here's my take on the situation: Sheev Palpatine aka Darth Sidious had killed his master, because Lord Plagueis would not provide his apprentice with the knowledge he sought on how to use The Dark Side of The Force to prolong lifespan of others, or rather in Palpatine's case his own. Sensing Anakin's immense raw power, he believed that young Skywalker would serve as an adequate replacement for the master he murdered. Darth Maul and Count Dooku (Darth Tyranus), were just merely puppets.
After the death of Mace Windu, when he says to Anakin... "To cheat death, is a path only one has achieved. But if we work together, I know we can discover the secret." ...it basically reveals that even Palpatine doesn't have the immediate solution that Anakin seeks. Nevertheless blinded by his own desperation and lust for power, Anakin was more than willing to pledge himself to the Chancellor's cause.

Umm yeah Palpatine isn't Anakins father and didn't create him. George lucas put a stop to that theory. It's not canon. Anakin was created by the force itself to counter the imbalance and because Plagueis and Palpatine were meddling with the force to make the dark side stronger. So the force itself created Anakin to basically put a stop to them. That's why Plagueis is terrified of Anakin after finding out about him. It's all in the Plagueis novel. Other than that misconception this video was entertaining

About Anakin going extreme, Palpatine did tell him to show no mercy to be strong enough with the Dark Side to save Padme.
His immediate desperation to serve Palpatine and then killing the Jedi, reach a breaking point once he reached the Separatists. He's snapped as he's killing them, then blank and consumed by the darkness once he's finished. And the aftermath shows with how manic Anakin is once Padme shows up.
