How are you so good! Do you think as a snowboarder I could do similar pillow lines, or is it more of a skier thing? I've only done some smaller cliff drops and deep poweder, never dared to hit a pillow line since they always look worse from above (and below!) than in reality.
yeah they definetly look scarier from above lol. think that pillow lines are more directed towards skiiers. it is harder as a snowboarder because you don't have poles. it is also harder because on a snowboarder it is easier to get out of control on pillow lines faster.
Ah thanks, yeah that's my intuition as well. @@fordtaube8794 BTW I kind of want to learn to ski so that I can do more things that require poles, such as Chamonix vallee blanche, would be amazing. I guess I could do it on a snowboard but I heard the flat parts are torture. Also even up at Spanky's in Whistler, so many sketchy areas where you need either crampons or stay on your skis and use poles. No good solution for snowboarders that are convenient enough to do on inbound runs
I’m pretty sure pillows are harder on a snowboard but I’ve never tried. You can still definitely do them. If you want a good example look up Travis rice natural selection on RUclips.
im looking at getting some powder skis soon, and im pretty comfortable with blacks being an advanced skier. would you recommend atomic 100s? or would 110/120 be a better option?
The 100s are great for resort but are a little skinny in deep powder. The 110s are a great middle ground and I find the 120s too wide unless it’s crazy deep. So it kinda just depends what kinda snow you’ll be skiing mostly
It’s by ratfink. If you’re looking for pillows and drops I’d recommend harmony, crystal ridge, red chair or jersey cream. They have the most obvious pillows and drops but you can find them all over. You can often find fun lines underneath the chairlift and then you can scope them first
2.7k,60fps, or 4K 30. superview, auto shutter speed, ev comp +0.5, native white balance, iso min 100 iso max 400, gopro colour. Then I upscale the footage to 4K when exporting. I think that’s everything important. You can mess around with the ev comp for when it’s too bright or dark.
Babe wake up bcmtb posted
so sick, that run into the tree damn!!! glad ur alright
Spicy indeed! Some killer line choices...nice work!
I love these videos. My favorite skier ❤
This is what I imagine myself doing but in reality I chicken out on a 2 foot drop 😂

Someone pleaseeee tell me where the first clip is -- I can never find any pillows or drops at whistler

thats a nice video
what run was the first clip?
That’s kinda near ratfink
May I ask you what GoPro video settings do you use? 4K? iperview?

Dude were you okay after that line at 1m?
Yah just a small cut on my eyelid
I think i juat shit my pants
ouchie
when you say 'droppin' are you speaking to your helmet? Also, based on your poor line choices, do you also wear your helmet when you're not sking?
Im usually just letting my friend know or im talking to myself to force myself to commit
@TR-yo5nx someone's jealous lol
@@TheJDoyle42 Someone's in love haha
