@ Midnight Blue I'm sorry to hear you have severe anxiety. I will be praying for you and I can put you on the prayer list at my church. I'm happy you found Serenity Sue she is Awesome take care and God bless 🙏
Gosh I wish I could spend time going round with you and looking at and discussing the various graves. That of course is a fantasy as I’m in the midst of black depression and horrible anxiety that keeps me at home. I get so much from your channel and feel a kinship to another Celtic woman as I’m Scottish and in Scotland. I find your history of gravestones fascinating. I must admit, I love old parts of cemeteries most. We had a wonderful section in our local one. Stay safe lovely lady ❤
Hearing what happened to these folks hurts my heart. The times when life seems rough may I think twice before I whine again. Seeing how dark and awful that hole in the ground was it had to be horrid to even sleep. Thank you for sharing this place with us. A picture/video is really worth a thousand words. May you be blessed above and beyond measure.
Disturbing, horrifying yet fascinating. I can't imagine being hauled through a graveyard and being locked in a vault. Those people were basically buried alive.
I was so excited when I got off work and saw a new video!!! I absolutely adore your videos and all the history. It’s making this history nerd want to go out and learn more about the people buried around me!
This was an amazing place! That crypt has to be the strangest and creepiest thing I've heard about. I have to agree, I think being imprisoned in a crypt in a graveyard has to effect you so much mentally. Especially when you know you're not going to be leaving alive. That would be unimaginable to have to deal with to me! Thank you!
Absolutely fascinating! I have never heard of a graveyard crypt being use as a type of prison. And the headstone for the Hogan family was beautiful. I never saw anything like that either. What a great video!
a very sad way to end your days, i never knew about this and i was in the military UK for 16 yrs. just glad the troubles are over now and RIP to the condemned, great video guys xx
Thanks Tom, yes it's pretty terrible to think of but yes big war at the time, so many lost and Irish included but so interesting, thanks so much Tom ❤️
Boy, that Sing Sing prison is quite creepy! I can,t even imagine being kept in there and then executed. Absolutely beautiful globe. Thanks for sharing this Sue. Great history lesson!😊

I found your channel today. Enjoyed the video. Love the grave under the trees. That is how I would like to be land to rest. Amongst all kinds of plants.
Fantastic video! Those poor men, being treated that way. Never heard of anything like it. Mind-blowing is a good way to describe it. The globe was beautiful. I don't remember seeing one of those before. Thanks so much, Sue! 💚
I love all your videos ❤ I can’t imagine being put in a dark hole in the ground like that while waiting to be executed 😢Thank you for bringing us along with you on your journeys. God bless you both 🙏💕🇨🇦
What a beautiful old cemetery. That front gate is gorgeous but those poor men in that "Sing Sing Prison" vault. Omg I can't even remotely imagine spending time in there only to know that you were going to be executed. Maybe some of them wanted to die after that ordeal. We'll never know but what a horrible place. I learn so much history from you and GV, (Irish and others) and I thank you. Cheers
My adoptive mothers' grandmother and grandfather came to the USA in the 1880s or maybe slightly later from Cork. Idk where as to a town or city. Wish I knew. Headstones here, show them being born in the early 1850s for him, and a few years later after 1855-1860 for who would be his wife. They are buried in Minnesota. Sounded like another relative (or two) accompanied them or arrived later. I don't know where the others ended up. They may have stayed a bit east of the Mississippi River or further closer to New York state, as to which state they ended up at. An aunt referred to the other arrivals as being like "greenhorns", their not being as 'sophisticated' as their older relations whom arrived here first! What a story to tell! 😊 Their daughters, who were first generation Americans were so proud to be Irish. I lived with them both in an extended family setting. Which was lovely, btw. 🎉 These women were strong and lived long lives into their 90s.
@@SerenitySueGraveyards yes, Sue they were all hardworking, deeply spiritual people. I never knew my great-grandfather John or his wife Mary, both died before WW2. 🙁
Hi there sue just after jumping on your channel your great in finding these lovely little cemeteries some of them sadly are left for years unattended well done as usual 👍
Hello Serenity Sue. The fly in with the drone was incredible, just beautiful. I've never heard of a Prison in a cemetery. It must have been beyond frightening to know your Never going to make it out alive. To be executed in that wooded area. Those trees making those creepy sounds. Almost sound's like men being shot. And named Sing Sing. My goodness what a horrible place to be kept. I can't imagine being captured and taken there. And being buried in a shallow grave or just left like that. Very sad story. I loved the globe and the stones were Beautiful. Thank you very much for sharing this story. I felt like I was right there with you both and I got a great history lesson as well. Stay safe and God bless 👍
I suspect the governor is in an unmarked grave as a precaution against desecration by people who weren’t happy with his activities & maybe lost someone to his awful little prison.
Great cemetery. But I can t imagine being stuck with all those people in that small space and knowing what's going to happen. May they all Rest in Peace❤️
I could not even imagine what was going through there minds before they where executed. Very Spooky. But thank you for all your great channel .May happiness and sunshine all way follow you on every days of your live.
Hi Sue! Enjoy your videos! Was wondering if you'd ever thought of taking a plastic scraper and plastic/natural fiber brush to clean enough to read the inscriptions?
I agree with you Sue, this is probably the weirdest video you've ever made, I think I'd welcome death after bring held prisoner in that crypt! This would scare me to death for sure! Also, the moss that's along the ground is interesting, I've never seen that before. Thanks Sue ❤️
