I don't think Scott is a bad guy or even an intentional cheater, but anyone can clearly see this is unfair. He had a significant advantage over the 39 other players in several of the games, and he used that advantage to help his team get a lot of points which eventually helped them to win. There is simply no argument you can make to claim that is okay. Sure, MCC is "for fun," but it is undeniably a competition all the same, and it's not fun when certain players have an unfair advantage over others.
completely agree with this, many have defended scott for his actions which were id argue quite malicious. he knew before starting the event that he would have a massive advantage and still decided to play and capitalise on that advantage. there being no prize does not justify cheating and rigging an event, especially how he faced no punishment for what he did, if anything he was encouraged with the admins saying he shouldnt have told people- which could also imply they knew that he tested the maps. i would also like to mention how he laughed at other people being confused, almost mocking them, yet the only reason he knew where to go was because of the cheating. its especially evident when some of the best ace race players got in the late 30s, even more so considering his best lap didnt make top 5. showing he wasnt that good at ace race, but had such an advantage over everyone else that it still managed to get him over a minute ahead of 2nd place. which is shocking considering the difference between 3rd and 4th was literally 0.25 seconds. perhaps the d team and friends should of had this conversation off stream, but they in no way are toxic because they decided to vent out their justified frustration, you can even tell in the video that by the tome of their voices, it was quite playful. most of the time it was disbelief that scott was so obvious about his knowledge and how much of an advantage it gave them. im aware that in a year late to ur comment lmao, but this tpic was on my mind recently so i was looking at those types of videos.
@@rav0nn Yep, my thoughts exactly. I also noted how Scott didn't even make the best lap time leaderboard, lmao. It's very telling. It was really shocking that nothing was done about it, and how it seems the admins wanted it covered up / brushed under the rug. It is gross that Scott went unpunished. My god could you imagine if dream was the one to cheat in that way? He would be perma banned. But Scott did it and goes unpunished because of his ties to the admins. It has forever tainted mh perspective of Scot, it just shows how easily he will cheat to try- and successfully- win. It shows bad sportsmanship. Adam as I and you have said it is evident in his performance. He would maybe have gotten too 20 if he didn’t know of the map beforehand. It sucks how he ripped away a possibly win from blue, purple or maybe another team which could have clutched in those like 4 games they cheated.
@@rav0nn You're so right. Dream cheated in a silly speedrun which affected no one but himself 4 years ago and people STILL cannot let it go. Could you imagine if he'd cheated in a team competitive event?? It would be so completely over for him. But Scott gets away (pun intended) scot-free. I've watched Scott's RUclips content since ages ago, before I even got into MCC or Dream or anybody else. I generally like him, but yeah this really tainted my view of him, I can't see him the same. And another thing too - It wasn't lost on me that in the more recent April Fool's MCC, an MCC in which Build Mart being played was a GUARANTEE, Scott "just happened" to be on the same team as 3 of the best Minecraft builders currently active (Smallishbeans, fWhip, and GeminiTay if I remember correctly.) That made me raise a couple eyebrows for sure.
@@foxhunt1440 yeah. I don’t know a lot of people in current MCCs, so I’m not sure how good they are at the games. But I know sometimes teams are not balanced at all. And even so, dreams cheating wasn’t intentional, Scott’s was. Dream apologised, removed the record and had not speedran since. So it literally does not affect anyone or anything currently accept dream when people try to bring it up to taint his character. He wasn’t aware the increase in ender oearls was attatched, plus it’s such a small thing, which he’s affected his run but it’s not like it was faking his run and still submitting it.

No wonder DTeam don't play in MCC anymore - it's true that in this stream they were just being playful and weren't really "mad", but this sort of thing adds up over time. I'd get sick of it too
@@foxhunt1440 exactly. Especially how dream was treated as though he was a burden to them. Not pausing when he was swatted, making jokes at his expense etc. it’s just sad really because you could tell he really enjoyed playing- aside from the insane standards of a lot of viewers.
Mcc 22 pride for example, green team had no hole in the slightest of winning, like I’m sure they had fun but it must have been a kick to the morale tone losing constantly.
And even so, dreams cheating wasn’t intentional, Scott’s was. Dream apologised, removed the record and had not speedran since. So it literally does not affect anyone or anything currently accept dream when people try to bring it up to taint his character. He wasn’t aware the increase in ender oearls was attatched, plus it’s such a small thing, which he’s affected his run but it’s not like it was faking his run and still submitting it.
i love your edit
comeback here bc mcc24😂
I hate how dream is talking about H’s client, while he actually did cheat in his speedruns
Also dream of all people should know not to send unnecessary hate towards people for things that can’t be changed considering how much hate he got from his cheats
Sapnap is hypocrite

the hbomb thing was a glitch, it has happened before a lot of times, and a lot of people have abused it, in another mcc game in a the previous season philza and quackity used one glitch trying to stay alive
