    I always feel like people try to push others into having children because misery loves company.

    • @ddanielsmc

      There's definitely this assumption that people have around others having children. I understand people making informed decisions and there's still a lot of ignorance around fertility so, I get that this does need to be put out there.
      However, people need to think long and hard about it. I have kids and I wouldn't do it again. I love them and care for them though.

      I genuinely believe women just don’t want other women to wake up one day alone and too old to have children wishing they did things differently. Old age is extremely lonely. It’s all fun and games when you’re 30/40/50 in good health. When you’re elderly and have nobody (which you won’t because friends and family die off and stop visiting and other people have their own lives) you guys will have AI taking care of you and by that time will likely be offered medically assisted suicide. Life is about family but we are so disconnected we think trips and bags can fill that void. News flash. It doesn’t.

    • @bonnielovely
      @bonnielovely 18 часов назад +3

      @@kendollarz7246 just because you have family doesn't mean they will take care of you when you get old. you even stated that lol. so to have kids to hopefully make you "less lonely" down the line isn't a solution.
      life isn't just about family. that is the biggest issue here. everyone makes their own meaning of life. and many of us are sick and tired of other people telling us that "family is everything" especially someone like me that had an extremely @busive upbringing.
      for some people traveling and trips and having fun, building a garden, making art, or raising pets is more than enough to enjoy life. out of the 20 the biggest regrets on the hospice deathbed, not having kids isn't one of them. and to have kids "just in case" you might be lonely later is a horrible and selfish reason to raise progeny.
      and even for those that do regret, it's much better to regret NOT having children, than being a parent that does regret having children. go ahead and read regretful parents reddit; hundreds of thousands of parents on there quite literally HATE their children.

      Getting a visit from the grandkids once every month in a care home doesn't sound like a good enough sacrifice for me. I want kids, but I will not delude myself into thinking that I control how my elderly years will turn out. I worked with elderly people and saw people have the same outcome kids or no kids, for various reasons. A few examples of my clients include a former doctor, who had a daughter who loved him. Guess what, her job meant she could only visit once a month. One client's only daughter had depression and gave up on life. A former Spanish model whose kids moved to Australia but she refused to go because her whole life was in London. The fear-mongering people do to try to get people to have kids is based on their own fears. I am from a close-knit community, and our elderly relatives tend to live in the same land. We don't toss them. Aunties who have no kids are still our mothers. Western society will not solve its loneliness problem by more bringing kids, more community-hood is the only solution.

    If you don't have a supportive, trustworthy partner as well as your own income, dont get married and certainly don't have kids. I have one child and his dad is a nightmare. Thankfully I'm remarried and he's wonderful. If I didn't have a great career and income my first husband would have destroyed me. I only got fantastic outcomes in Court because I could afford a better lawyer than he could. My second husband knows I'm with him because I actually like and love him not because I need him in anyway.

    Marriage benefits men... not women! Children benefit men, not women. How? Because when the father leaves... guess who gets blamed for his irresponsibility? Dont believe me look at all the angry , bitter men in the redpill and manosphere and incel sectors.. a lot of them didn't have their fathers around. And blame their mother for their father's leaving. That's why they have issues with women. Stay child- and marriage free.

    If you ask me, being 30 with no kids is the best. Im also glad to hear this because i grew up half an only child since the donor had other kids but people would always tell me i had only child syndrome and thats why i should wait and change my mind. Never liked kids even as a kid. I was always more mature and partly because i had to. I always said i never wanted any and at 30 im still grateful i dont. Also hit with a curve ball when your single parent falls ill already and i didn’t even have a full chance to establish myself before i already have to be in this middleman position where everyone needs you. If i had kids i would be in a mental institution. This world is miserable anyway and honestly mostly always has been.

    I spent all my 30s not having kids unfortunately for us though they dont care if women in there 30 and 40s don't have kids because thats technically the right age to have kids because your usually in a place were you can afford to raise them finally but that's why men avoid us the relationship would be healthy that way and men dont like to see women happy like that they want to interrupt you in your early 20s when you barely became old enough to drink because they expect you to have it all togeather at 23. But unfortunately men don't take care of there daughters like that they coddle there sons instead and they hassle the daughters to grow up too fast just because shes the prettier option.
