Super bizzare. Champion gave up in the last round! Please elaborate as to why?
What a shame this last round
Why did Hercules basically give up with 2 minutes left in the final round? Yah, he needed either a KO or 10-8 round, but it's for a belt, so you'd still expect him to go for broke there. Maybe he was just so frustrated by Tapaokaew's clinch and knee gameplan that he quit?
Fighters generally don't chase in r5. It doesn't rly matter bc Hercules has as much power as an ant.
Edit: there is no gameplanning here, everyone expected these two to fight like this. Tapaokaew clinch and knees, Hercules hook the leg and stall the clinch.
@@phank.s.4052but the guy was losing and did not even try to win. Why?
@@alinajafi4038 it has to do with the fighting culture in TH since the early 90s. Stadium scoring is based on odds. In r5, there is a very low chance of turning odds that gave gone from usually somewhat narrow in r4 to over 50/1 for one side or the other.
RWS scores differently, but old habits.

@@alinajafi4038 That's just how it is. Fighters generally don't chase in r5 as it's seen as undignified (Buddhism is heavily intertwined with Muay Thai). Sometimes you just have to let go.
