Great video you could not have said this any better! If someone is thinking about joining a club they should invest in tools and learn to work on bikes. This will keep their bike road worthy, it’s cheaper than taking it to a shop, it’s convenient for issues that happen on the road and makes everyone’s day better.
You are so right. Everything I buy for my bike I put on. If I don’t know how I used my brothers to teach me. Nothing like working on your own bike. You get to really know her.
Thank you for breaking it down the way you do. I realize I could never prioritize anything over my kids. I'm not cut out for the 1% life. If more fathers were as dedicated to their kids as I am we would have far fewer problems in our society. I appreciate your candor.
No one was able to use the excuse "I can't afford to go" back when I was in all that. After tallying up the receipts at the end of a run... Everyone in the chapter, out of their share, payed back what was spent on the trip whether or not one of us or all of us went.

I’m new to the scene but not new to riding in the least. Wanted to see what that life is about Started hanging around last couple months. Man.. u not kidding. Every week few events and parties and associated costs (tickets, those dope support shirts .. got a ton of those .. they sure do cool designs here and def wanna support the home team ya dig) That being said I fkn love it. Worth every penny and that money is going so support a lot of good stuff. I’ve started to experience what they say about Brotherhood (got lucky and met a group of guys from a club and I just kinda fit in .. felt right from day 1).. for me currently the hardest part is dealing with my ole lady who give me shit despite me setting aside time for her on every day I’m not doing club stuff. I hear a lot it’s very difficult.. the keeping the family cool part. If I was a single dude… would be much easier. Yea I’m sure challenges will come both large and small .. some hard and fast. I can take it. But having a missus acting out of line on some bullshit .. that sucks. Only thing I can do is keep on movin with the club and keep workin on shit at home. She gave me the blessing 2 months ago (yea I’m sure some will say I’m a bitch for that but who wants to deal with a salty wife ?? And I do love her and been with a long time so am not gonna bail on her). Anyway : What advice do u have for that balance ? I ask anyone who is down to teach. I don’t know it all. And this is one thing I think could land up a hang up and I want to stay ahead of it Thanks Wild!! *subbed to the channel btw
It’s all dependent on the club. The more serious the club is the harder family life balance. The more of a RC it is the better the balance. I have seen some solid clubs have awesome family balance. But know you’re wife too. My ol lady isn’t going to sit there and let a guy talk down to her or me. So I have had several issues with that lol. But even if she gives you blessing is she really going to be supportive long term. Is it worth it for you
My club operated on the "he who has, shares" ethos, unfortunately there were those who didn't mind benefiting from the sharing part without putting in very much of anything, needless to say they didn't remain members for very long.
Dues and fines get expensive. One club around here. The dues are just as much as a motorcycle payment if not more. Then if you can't pay the dues every month. Get fined on top of it. Can get really expensive. This is the reason to why I stay as a ghost rider or a lone wolf. I don't make a whole lot of money. So I stay solo and ride with friends or brother's however people wish to call it
For most clubs Its about money , rules, power, and figuring how to screw a " brother " out if his motorcycle. Be here. Be there. Do this do that. Wear this not that. Mandatory or fined. Screw that ! Freedom and individualism my arse
It is a relationship only now you are married to a bunch of guys, lmao, but seriously it is a relationship, and if its the right club for you, you will cherish it
Hey W.O.2s great to hear from you again always interesting stuff ! I realize that there are cost to running a club that's a given so every member chips in their dues equal across the board .But like The Blue Bike & Doyle said it's also supposed to be a brotherhood with loyalty and having your brothers back ,now when you join your gaining friendships and comradery / family but when your in family and and say you hit hard times or say your bike blows or something and you can not afford to pay for everything your family does not kick you out of the house to live on the streets .So are you just buying friends to ride with when in a club and all is well whilst you can pay .I mean really ( maybe I am completely wrong here ) loyal friends and family will always help you out in a jam so are you better off saying ,ok I have the people I know or am aquatinted with and I will ride with them or alone and know that your on your own and have no false expectations of anyone so that then makes you a stronger personality for that reason .Sorry for the long drawn out comment .Stay safe man and enjoy the rides . : )
No what I was referring to are folks that go in blind folded. As a club we will help brothers that are truly in need and if they hit a rough patch. Whatever we can. Remember some clubs don’t have much reserve to barely keep the club house but the club will fundraise in order to help. But these are brothers that have been dedicated. Like I said this was to make sure folks know there’s a cost in general. As a club we won’t bail out someone who is just horrible with finances and multiple opportunities. Some people come in and barely pay dues and expect the club to pay their way. That’s not fair for the rest of the guys. It’s all. About helping but it goes both ways right? But this goes toward guys hanging around and prospecting. To know what to expect in regards financial requirements. Just like folks buying homes that can’t afford. Are you going to bail out all friends that live beyond their means? Are you going to use all your reserve to help the ones who tried using you for funds? I don’t think so. But you would help the real select friends and family that you know hit a rough or h or lost a job. These clubs still give chances to members. They give them months to catch up. But there so much you can do for few folks that couldn’t afford it to begin with.
@@WildOn2sVlog Thanks for the clear reply I appreciate it lookin forward to your interview with Randy next time should be real interesting . Cheers : )

Very well said, sir. I never made it to patched member myself, but I stayed a friend-of-the-club for almost 17 years .... even as a friend, we got a LOT out of that friendship, but then, we put a lot of effort into helping out whenever we could. OMG... I'm so grateful for this video. My husband just joined a MC and was made Sgt At Arms. He was then told he MUST have a bike in order to, not only keep his position, but also stay in the club. My husband doesn't have a job nor has worked in over a year. He wants ME to be his sponsor and buy him a new bike and, pay his club dues. 😳 Umm I DON'T THINK SO. I love and support him... but NOPE.🙅♀️
Ya that should have been explained and known from the start. Especially if the club actually prospects their members. You never want to get into a mess you can’t deliver.
The dude was made sgt at arms of a club and didn’t own a motorcycle?? That club seems super sus
