Love you Laura...I'm 75 and ate up with arthritis....so I garden vicariously through you...we garden together every morning, me watching you make beauty every step you take and me with my coffee and crochet...Thank you 🥰🥰
So relate to you, Nellie! I could bring my knitting (altho this is slowing down related to arthritis😣) & we could watch together! Never miss their postings. I miss hands in dirt & under fingernails & pulling weeds & mostly my gardens. I love gardening with Laura & Aaron too!😊💐
@@beckybanta126 Good morning, I have it too RA, am 65 and still plugging along slowly. I love watching too have been for many years. what a blessing their family is. Try Heal N Sooth for the arthritis, it helps allot, and is all natural.
@@sandysonshine8252 Thank you, Sandy, for the tip; will check into it. I do use Willow Balm & it can help bring pain levels down a few notches which = better movements. Was happy to see that Laura & her mother, Susan, use it as well. And on we go. Stay well!☺️
I love the bloopers in the recordings the past couple weeks! Captures real life humor! But I hope your head feels better Laura! Is Aaron the culprit for keeping all the bloopers? Thanks for sharing all the parts of gardening and real life!
I think that's Taylor's doing lol
I'm on the fence...
Sometimes it's cute
Other times it's too juvenile
I think the bloopers are fun. Very relatable
I have to chuckle as it seems every time you are out in the yard filming, your kitties find you and follow you around. It's sweet to see.
I love how your cats always find you. So sweet.❤ 🐈 😊
I know. Every single video at least on cat present. Cute.
Russell I’m so glad to see you today ❤
That smokebush growth was WILD!
Laura...the smoke bush branches could be an interesting addition to flower arrangements.
Laura: You make everything that you do seem so effortless, even though it's not. Stay young!! LOL
I kept looking at those wild, curled branches on the smoke bush and thinking how fun it would be to make a whimsical little trellis from them 😆
I was thinking incorporating it into a floral arrangement, but your idea is a good one, too!
Laura, this is super random but I loved the flower arrangement on your mom's dining room table from the renovation tour video so much, that I decided those are the inspiration for my upcoming wedding. Pink Hellebores, orange tulips and ferns. Make sure to give your mom credit!!! ❤❤❤
🫣YOW! That is one SOLID bird feeder to konk you THAT hard/ loud! Hope you’re feeling better now! 🙏🏼💚
nothing smells better than a Korean Spice Viburnum. Heaven
Mock Orange takes the top spot for me.
I have the most beautiful view of a neighbor’s 2 huge pink dogwoods this time of year…I think they started out as at least 3 and 4 individual trees, and are now 30x30 and just a cloud of deep pink. Between those and Garden Answer’s doings, coffee time is perfect here in the very acidic-soiled PNW. Happy spring everyone!
Laura, you make everything looks so effortlessly, with me it's a whole production🤣😂
Good morning all have a safe and blessed day ❤️
Another productive day…you have so much energy and enthusiasm….it is infectious 👍👍👍
You are very fortunate to have such a large healthy ash tree. All ash in our province, Quebec Canada, have been infected with ash borer, and are either dead, dying , or being cut down. Such a shame to lose such majestic trees😢
My beautiful Ash had to be cut down. Made me so sad. Expensive too!
Same in Toronto, in fact I’d say pretty much for all of Ontario. In TO, Ash and Elms were planted along boulevards in many parts of the city and they’ve had to be taken out due to severe infestation and the strict ban on moving wood/timber is still in effect. So sad to lose all that majestic canopy!
same in Manitoba. We have an extensive LIST of the ONLY trees allowed to be planted in our Community here. Losing all those Ash trees, has made such a HUGE difference in our Landscapes........I truly wish Laura would consider planting some Towering Poplars............in all her vistas...........those would be amazing in that property...........Please do it Laura. Also, when are you getting YOUR STRAWBERRY raised beds????
I’m in Toronto Canada as well. So sad to see all the bare branch in the summer.
I'm in Western Ny and all of ours are getting the Ash boar too. what a mess, nothing but dead trees everywhere.
Laura you give me joy every morning that I watch you! 😀
The garden is gorgeous Laura. Thanks for taking us along on another garden day 👩🌾💚
Always miss seeing Russell garden with you. He’s like a little puppy, following you everywhere. Don’t see him as much with Douglas so close by your side. It’s suppose to warm up today here in north Iowa, so maybe our garden centers will start to get flowers in soon. I want to plant up my garden stalk with strawberries. Can’t wait. Love how your garden area is progressing. It looks beautiful already.
I love Russell
Laura, your ash tree area is beautiful! I love the way the shadows of the branches lay across the pathway...just so nice. I can't help looking at the house in the background! The new paint looks so fresh and I love the black trim! thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. I have never planted many flowers, because honestly, they intimidate me! lol. But thanks to you, I have planted a lot this year!
Some days, gardening is a full contact sport. Hope your headache goes away quickly.
Hi Laura, Received my Garden Answer kneeling pad today. After unboxing I immediately threw it on the kitchen floor and plopped down on it. LOL! 😊 It's so soft and supportive, love it! Thanks for making these available.
I felt that bird feeder. I have one placed in a stupid spot and I run into just like that quite frequently. Maybe this is my sign to finally move it. ❤
@12:10 - HAHAHA! I had to laugh! I know it is not funny to hit your head, but it made me chuckle (that is a good thing in these days, right?). I really do appreciate it that you leave these little clips in! It makes the videos real and keeps us watching. A bump to the head is life and life should not be edited 😉
Hey Laura Nothing is better Then starting my day off with watching your channel.
I have to tell you....
There has been a change in your wonderful nature and excitement this season. There are so many new projects with the new land and your warehouse business..
Planting beautiful trees, buttoning up projects....new stream bed...etc.
Please take a moment to reflect on your hard work and accomplishments you have made. I have watched you from the beginning......simply amazing what you guys have accomplished..
....oh, and let's not forget 2 beautiful BABIES.
THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING US.
Thank you for the video. Will have to get a butterfly bush! Samantha hugging and kissing the statue was so cute! Russell and Douglas are really living the life! Sunbathing on the lush lawn!
So relatable, from frost hitting tender new growth to smacking heads on something in the garden 😂 . Happy Gardening 👩🌾
Me too
When your head hit the bird feeder, I said..."Ouch!". I felt your pain...lol. The gardens are coming along beautifully and that smokebush really needed that cutting back! Your videos are a breath of fresh air and nature. Love it! 🥰
wow Laura you rock your garden is absolutely gorgeous the colours beautiful! , and how cute is Russel nice to see him.
I hope your head is okay. I’m 6’4 so it happens to me often. It hurts! Definitely trusting in your judgement with the berries and smoke bush. You are the professional after all! ❤
And she's short, so probably not used to bumping her head on things as much. I'm 5' 10", so I've done it a lot in my life. 😵
Yup, I bet Aaron left that footage in there!
My husband is 6’4” and when he goes under shorter doorways he sticks his hand up and slaps it and I always think he hits his head. It took me years to catch on to what he was doing. 😂
@@WaterfallFWlol, my son has picked up that habit. I think of it as habitual awareness because if your hand is making contact your head isn't!
In normaler Erde wachsen die Blaubeeren nicht, habe damit Erfahrung. Um einen guten Ertrag zu haben, müssen sie in Rhododendronerde gepflanzt werden und auch mit dem passenden Dünger gedüngt werden.
I always think Viburnums are highly underrated and under-used. Once established, they're a very hardy shrub and many of them are spectacular! SO glad to see them being used and promoted here!
Who else wants to know how Laura curls her hair?? Lol it always looks so casual and nice!
Great video this morning. Love the new viburnum, will be so pretty in that area. Hope you berry bushes thrive. Have a blessed day everyone.
Question: Would you ever consider creating your own line of terra cotta for retail? Good pots are hard to come by!
please remember to show us again that red-leaf plant you trimmed to the ground; would love to see how well it will grow back
Oh no! I hope the pain went away quickly. Your tulips are still beautiful Laura.
I love Douglas ❤️ But I love seeing Russell ❤️ 😊 ps.... the way you held it together after you held it together while filming 🎥 after almost knocking yourself out. 👏 👏 👏 hope you're ok.
A blessed evening to all..
Thank you, Laura for the plantings and education!! Also enjoy the fun things that you, your family and the cats get into. 😃
I also learned from you why my hostas have the lighter leaves. Due to frost.
I appreciate all you do and the videos you produce. 🥰. I hope your head is feeling better as well.
I have made a serious effort to wear sunscreen and a wide brim hat during my spring gardening. But the hat obscures vision above head so I have banged my head over and over. I feel your pain.
Beautiful video as always! I just realized that with the help of Paul and Bethany, we don’t see a lot of the maintenance any more in your videos such as edging or elongating flower beds with the clean lines. Hoping to see a reminder of how you do that when you enlarge the skinny garden bed!
I have never seen a smoke bush like that before. I love the baby viburnum . I love them . Take care iv your head !
We must LIKE all of Laura's video to support her channel so she can continue to educate us. It makes a difference to LIKE the video.
I just love Russell.
❤how I love sound affects 🤪I never know when they are coming and Laura does not either 😉
😂
Ouch, that hurt. I hope you are ok! Everything is come back after a long winter sleep in your gardens. Looking forward to seeing everything in your next garden tour. Here in FL things are beautiful, but we haven’t had the rain that we should be getting, so I need to water everything every day. Love your videos Laura, they truly are inspiring and motivating! Thanks for sharing ❤
Good morning Laura and all!
LOL! Had to rewind to watch you hit your noggin on the birdfeeder a second time. Glad I'm not the only one that does that sort of thing.
Laura you make everything looks so effortlessly ❤
The bird feeder….so unexpected! And she didn’t even lose it…walks away passively!
Oh Girl. I felt that head bonk in my heart. Been there. 😂
Emerald Ash Borer is making its way across the USA and Canada, you should think of having a replacement tree nearby for the future.
Good advice!
Lost all of ours in lower Michigan. In our sub, the county removed them!
Ugh!! I felt that head smack on the feeder!!! I have done that sooooo many times on mine!!! You would think I would figure it out some day!!! 🤣
Thanks for the Tip that the Land and Sea is more acid. We're in alkaline soil in TX and I'll remember that!
I ordered 2 bags from big A!
That was so funny with the editing. Hope your head is okay. Great video.
I burst out laughing when you conked your head on the birdfeeder, only because this is something I do almost on a daily basis with my hummingbird feeder. I know it’s there. I know I should move it if I’m going to work in that area, but do I? Sadly, no. Everything‘s looking beautiful as usual, Laura. Thank you for all your wonderful videos. Your video is the first thing I watch every day.
Took me all day potting plants and cleaning and power washing the whole front of our house also my porch and furniture off to bring on Spring and Summer!!! Flowers and Tomatoes maybe some potatoes
I love the guy who edits your videos now. Very funny sense of humor. Great music
i laughed so hard at the editing when you conked your head on the bird feeder! hope your head doesn't hurt too badly tho!
Ouch! I feel your pain Laura. I keep doing that with a hanging basket outside my potting shed. You know it’s there but hey! We keep doing it.
I've been waiting for an update on those ferns since you planted them in a video! 😂 So glad they came back, such a pretty look there.
That view of the crabapple and the Japanese maple was gorgeous.
Ouch, Girl!!! I bet that hurt. Loved the slow mo guys. Love watching you. You inspire me so much. I just bought a Prariefire crabapple tree because of you. It was beautiful this spring. Can't wait to see it in the fall.
Laura! That blue spruce and surrounding area is got to be on my favorite of favorites.
Your ten your GA anniversary has got to be approaching!! What are we planning!!?????
First time this year i started seeds and had success. I was able to start marigolds. Just planted them along our walkway. Im so happy. Also the best news i successfully planted a peach seed from my peach tree and now have a peach sapling. Its about 4 inches tall now. It is the cutest. Fyi peach pits are very hard to break, nut crackers do not work.
I loved the birdfeeder edit! 😂 That's me everytime I walk into the trestle doors of my greenhouse, only with louder grumbling!
Hope Laura's head feels better. Thank you for this beautiful video.
I love these plants! How exciting. I would love to see an update on the tiger eyes sumacs! 🌱
When I think of Oregon berries I think of boysenberries, a cross between a raspberry and a blackberry. We ate a lot of boysenberry pie at my aunt's place in Portland. Have you thought of growing them (or maybe you don't like them)? As for blackberries, all I ever knew about blackberries is that they'd plant themselves on the fringes of abandoned sites. Due to this, would they maybe prefer no fertilizer, poor soil, and hardly any attention? Maybe they'd like it if you ignored them? Been watching you since COVID. Thanks for such refreshing content. It has really kept me going in my own yard.
Laura and Aaron! I love what you're creating. Have you considered a Children's Garden in the backyard play area?
I planted Baby Cakes Blackberry in a pot a tree came in last year. I was amazed it produced a few fruit. I read online they need to be protected in winter so I moved it into my Michigan garage. I did have to give it a small bit of water but green growth appeared in spring. Success. I've moved the pot outside and its doing well. Maybe at end of season try moving it to the high tunnel where its still cold but out of the winds. Hope it works for you. Enjoy your channel. Thank you for it.
Laura, I look forward to my PW Korean Spice viburnums more than any other plant in spring! I have 3 "Spice Baby" shrubs and 1 "Spice Girl" so that I get berries! I think they are such multi-season plants, and they have been low maintenance for me. I hope you will get a "Spice Girl" too. She's a few feet bigger, and the fall color is so pretty! 🍂
Those were some interesting forms on the smoke bush’s branches. Looks like an art project to me.
i cut my smokebush back to the ground in late spring a couple years ago and it looked amazing by June/July! I was hoping you’d try that on this guy because their fresh foliage is amazing. I don’t really care about the smoky tufts… just those gorgeous leaves make me happy!
Sorry to say but… laughed so hard when you hit your head on the bird feeder. My grandson cracked his head on mine last summer, he commented how he hated when he did that. No more than 10 minutes later my daughter ran into it and dropped the biggest f-bomb. ( a word we try not to use around here) we all laughed until we couldn’t stand up straight. Gardening has its hazards. I love the sound of a smaller size viburnum. Might have to see if I can find one.
The Elm tree/ Blue spruce flower bed is going to be beautiful!❤️
Thinking a creeping ground cover perennial that smells good when walked upon would be interesting around picnic table... So enjoy your channel. Makes my solidary life joyful.
the smoke bush! 😀Something from Dr Seuss!!!
😂 loved the music stopping because that’s what it’s like when you get an unexpected injury or scare. Everything seems to stop for a second. Sorry it seemed funny watching you since you didn’t seem injured too bad.
I hope the smokebush grows- good idea cutting it back it looks better. Oh darn that hurt, I do it all the time with my hanging plants and even the delivery guys hit their head on my hummingbird feeder which I bought 2 new ones and not one hummingbird where did they go I’m in zone 10b SoCal. Can’t wait to see more projects that was a short one 😂
How that smokebush grew was crazy! Hope the new growth continues to flourish for you. Love viburnum, wish the flowers lasted longer.
U Okay!,felt that with ya.and everything is. BEAUTIFUL
We are so far behind this year in Maine. It’s been a cold Spring. I can’t wait to get planting!
The house, the garden, the lawn ALL look absolutely wonderful!!
On the blueberries; I've grown Reka (pronounced REEKA) before and it has lovely flavor. Unfortunately it died because not enough sun and too much water (PNW rain here). I took out my Blueray and gave it to my daughter. It's flavor wasn't anything to write home about. I replaced it with a Chandler....my favorite by far with large size and and great tart flavor! Your pots look a bit small though for maximum size and terra cotta tends to dry out. I use the biggest ceramic pots I can get and haven't had any problems using an acid planting mix, Espoma Berry tone, and top dress with fine bark mulch. I have 16 plants that are my pride and joy, but do have to net them from the birds as berries mature or I wouldn't get any!
❤Bless your heart. I hit my head last November and it is still tender. Never seen you make a misstep, beware of bird feeders and droppings.😮
I have a blue ray here in Atlanta area. Despite our ideal soil and conditions for blueberries, it struggles. However, I won’t pull it because the flavor is superior to my other 3 varieties. Good luck!
Gorgeous outdoor dining space! ❤❤❤
Ugh, I heard you hitting your head, I hope it's ok! Back in the day we used to put a cold spoon and rub it with it not to get a bump. It happens all the time. If you see any frost in the forest you can cover the smoke bush! I will look into getting a Korean spice viburnum! I am all for fragrance in the garden! Blessings 💞🙏🏻💞
😊your trees are beautiful. Pink, white, red. What a view!
I love your crabapple tree too !!!!!!
Hi Laura and Aaron 😊 That Ash tree looks amazing for climbing. Do the kids ever want to climb trees in your yard? I was a tree climber when I was young so it looks very inviting ☺️
My kneeling pad came! No more using a big piece of cardboard 😂. Thanks for bringing us quality and stylish products!
Morning with Garden Answer. Shout-out from SW Georgia.
I know the smoke bush needed that rejuvenation prune, but that curly branch growth almost looked like hardscape! Those curling branches did look neat from afar. 😊
good luck with the blueberries!! I have a Babycakes Blackberry in its 2nd season, So Cal foothills, 10b. Last season fought with fungus, but I learned from you to treat with copper fungicide. So far so good. Looking happy and healthy at this time! Love love love that little tarp you used to lay down under the unpotting. Such a handy size!! Maybe another item for the store?? :)
I swear I heard Russell say “Pet me Mom!”
❤Nice job Laura!
